Blast from the past... I was looking for something just like this as a present in 2021. Simperingly this fists the bill very nicely.
Like the looks. Just got the heavier recurve like one today. It had the mirror polish just not as high up. I haven't been disappointed with any Ruike I have gotten.
I've already got this knife, one of my favorites this year, mine smoothed out to the point where the blade will fall and hit my thumb when I disengage the lock. It won't close if you put the thumb stud on the other side, it's a right hand opener only.
Love the edges on Ruike knives, my p801 has one of the best edges on any of my knives. Did some decent work with it for an hour with thick cardboard. Handled it well. Cleaned it up and it wouldn't cut paper, but five minutes on the strop and its back to the original laser edge. Super nice edge geometry, super easy to work with steel. Was surprised that was all it took, I thought it would take some time on ceramic to bring it back.
Got this knife and love it. Not heavy or bulky in the pocket, yet has good blade length. The blade shape is under rated. The Seax shape makes it the most useful and utilitarian shape for every use I can think of, except skinning. The Norsk and Saxon people were very smart, and got it right over 1000 years ago. I removed the clip, I don't need the extra bulk and snags in my pocket.

I'm pretty sure it would not be possible to switch the thumb stud to the other side of the blade because the handle doesn't have a cutout on the underside. In other words, if you switched the thumb stud, the knife wouldn't be able to fully close. I hope what I'm trying to say makes sense.

I like It! Another winner from Ruike, in any color you want, as long as it is black. I guess that is the only downside. Could this knife be rightfully considered a "gentleman's folder", given the slender profile?

Harry Wright You could always loosen the pivot in very small increments to see if that helps. It might just be a bit over tightened. It’s probably going to smooth out and loosen up a bit after awhile.
I like it.. now if they would make a 4 inch blade model.

Gorgeous sleek minimal sexyness, oh yeah it looks so good.. I'm pondering if I'm subversive enough to take a Dremel to a brand new out of the box knife, dig an opening out of the liner and linerside scale, and screw on some 3rd party double sided thumbstuds. Am I gonna? Hmm.. Not sure.. I probably should, because Ruike hasn't made a single bum knife I've seen yet.
