Road to Paris: Team Selection Analysis

USA Triathlon just announced their discretionary picks that will round out the team heading to Paris this summer. Two people had automatically qualified: Taylor Knibb and Morgan Pearson. That left two women and one man who will join the team via the selection process done by the unanimous agreement from a committee of eight people.
Ian OBrien helped me go through their choices giving a deep dive analysis into the likely reasons each was selected, how they might help the team, and if there were any stones that were maybe left unturned in the decision. Super engaging!

The draft legal idea is ok, but maybe if draft IS legal, team tactics come into play, and if team tactics come into play, scoring should be based on the entire team finish time/score.
That way no team members are expendable
