It began by they both randomly picked out each other name to give the cake as valentine gift. Mark wasn't serious about partnership before Gems and Gems wasn't chosen nor won any challenge in Friendship The Reality but they were destined. Ever since Mark took over Poppy in the Reality show, Gems couldn't take his eyes out of Mark
