We got married here in 2023 and came back to celebrate our one year anniversary. Always thought it'll be a place we would come back every year for dinner but not again. The wedding planning part of the Trop was absolutely wonderful. Sad to see it go especially for the winless A's
67 incredible years for this place that most newer generations would never sadly be able to step foot in the beautiful place rest in peace Las Vegas Tropicana.
Back in ‘88, my cousins and I were walking through the Tropicana as 6 years old following me aunt as we had to keep moving through the casino by law, but she stopped to talk to an elderly African-American gentleman at the slots, and he gave me and my cousins a dollar coin each, which I remember vividly to this day, and hope that my mom still has the coin from this memorable encounter
Wow I was right next to that photographer while the crowd was chanting “Tropicana”. Stayed there the last weekend and was one of the last few people out the door. Melancholy vibes those last few days. A few of us stayed up all night on the casino floor with no games or machines active. Very surreal feeling
I was there last October and the staff told me that there is too many internal structural problems inside and the only way it can be fixed is to demolish it! It had a beautiful run, but some things have to come to an end unfortunately! Just the way life goes! Congrats on 67 years in Vegas and thanks for the memories!
Stayed there maybe a decade or more ago. Loved their outdoor pool which parts were also under shade with the hotel's front covering parts of it. Good times but I was in high school so couldn't gamble but still good memories of my first trip to Vegas
Yep make sure NOT to SELL those hotel rooms to people who actually need a place to I dunno...LIVE in...Tear that massive building all DOWN so you can Build another new Baseball stadium...that's what people REALLY NEED!!!
There was a RUclipsr that was the last ever guest to check in there and he was giving a final check of the hotel and giving it a final review and he was actually honored for being the last guest to check in
Ummmm a baseball stadium? just how big was that building... it would have to be damn near the size of an airport if a baseball stadium is fitting in its place
Why would they tear down the site it’s just so sad someone should start a go fund me to save the property don’t legit get taken away it’s so sad 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
I loved plating roulette there. I once seen a lady betting $100 on every number. I tried to tell her she was losing $200 on every bet but she wouldn't listen. The dealer stepped in tried to explain this to her but she still didn't listen. I watched her lose about $8000 not understanding what she was doing. She thought she was winning.
@professorpauls7362 I'm not sure is that the one with the red had saying something about America is great? Pretty sure she was wearing one of those. Probably had a Biden pin on as well I'm guessing.
It's the Athletics last season by the bay. In the next few years, the joint is being demolished to make room for a new green ballpark. The franchise is quite mimicking the Raiders.⚾
I didn’t stay there personally but had family trip back in December, couple of our family friends did. And it was also a safe place for people to hide at during the infamous Route 91 shooting of ‘17
I’m sad .. I love the Tropicana it’s more fun and better experience than the Wynn . I like classic iconic themed stuff I don’t like that fake high roller type of casinos the atmosphere is just different .. when you drive down those streets and see the iconic Tropicana it just makes you know and feel that you’re in Vegas . Please keep the rest of the iconic casinos they’re to memories to let go of not just to me but to everyone .

Benji, best comment ever.
I was too broke to afford a flight
Don't worry. They'll be able to watch the Oakland A's -win- .
Rest in peace, Tropicana Las Vegas…

I passed out on the floor there once in 06.. good times
I worked at Trop at the Player’s Club, when I lived in Vegas from 2014-2016. Had some great times. ❤
You look good ash
It's always a sad sight to see something iconic be shut down, but as long as the people remember it, the Tropicana will live on.
It’s gonna be weird going to Vegas now without having Tropicana around

I spend the night in one of the rooms when I was younger, they were nice. It'll never be the same without this place.

Well going to Las Vegas was a part of my bucket list I always wanted to visit to that Tropicana place I guess now I won't get to see it😮
So sad. I lived in Vegas and went to the Tropicana many times.
Got some fun memories. Thank you Tropicana
It's as old as the University of Nevada in Las Vegas. When the joint opened, Beauregard was my alma mater's first mascot. Current is the third.
No more free parking

Maybe the A's will become better in Vegas.
Vegas in 2024 is a sleazy, soulless outdoor mall. You don't deserve the A's
Las Vegas is garbage doesn't deserve the As

Ahh Tropicana. Been there before just don’t remember anything cause I was so fcukin wasted
I was just walking around inside there about 6 weeks ago. It still seemed like a fine property.
i have a picture of the Tropicana from 2015 when i went to a wedding at the Grove
We will never see something be built again
Peak journalism, Stacey is a bombshell then and now. Love myself a fine aged white woman.

hi I’m watching u rn on my tv now
That casino is still good enough, the baseball stadium should be built next to it in one of those empty lots.
Loved their orange juice
I’m glad I took that bath robe as a souvenir nobody will miss it 😂😂😂😂😂😂
I stayed there new years eve 1996
Sad. I enjoyed staying there yrs ago.
Why would they tear down the site it’s just so sad someone should start a go fund me to save the property don’t legit get taken away it’s so sad 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

Doesn't have enough business anymore. I went in there a few weeks ago and it was a ghost town. I believe a stadium of some sort is going to replace it
there building a baseball stadium there instead which is stupid. Build that somewhere else I think
@@heidip5042 and also a new resort, bearing the current property owner's name Bally's.

1.5 billion dollars for a baseball stadium?! They could end homelessness 6 times over with that kinda money.
