- What's up guys, I'm back with another video. This one is a short one, and like the title says, A Porsche 911 GT2RS and a straight piped GT3RS go crazy while leaving a meet. Enjoy some raw sound from both of them, and watch them race at the end!

The turbo noises from the 2 are cool, but that screaming 9000 rpm NA engine from the 3 is god tier

I personally love the turbo noise more. Not dissing the gt3 at all, but a bike can rev to 9000 as well. I just think high reving sounds are like the norm when it come to golden exhaust sounds, it kinda overhyped. You know sometimes I just wish people can really be like dammmmn that turbo shit was niiiice.

And people wonder why the GT3RS is more desirable over the GT2RS even though the GT2RS is so much faster in a straight line. That NA sound is something else!

@@isaiahbunten8931 The GT2RS needed a performance kit to run a faster ring time over the GT3RS. Plus the GT3RS is still more desirable even though the GT2RS is faster than it in a straight line 😂
@@theguy1224What the fuck are you talking about the GT2RS with no Manthey parts was literally 9 seconds faster than the 991.2 GT3RS. With Manthey parts it's a whole 13 seconds faster than a 991.2 GT3RS. The 2017 GT2RS is still faster by a whole 2 seconds than the current GT3RS which was released over 5 years later. Even with Manthey parts on the 991.2 GT3RS it's still slower by 7 seconds than a stock GT2RS.
I mean yeah, they put a straight pipe on it? Put a straight pipe on that 2rs and it's gonna sound disgusting too (in a good way)
@@jandv3539 Straight pipe NA engines will always sound better. Sounds more raw. Turbo cars are too muffled. The GT3RS will always be more desirable even though it's underpowered. Car is a monster.

Turbos suck on the exhaust fumes, not the atmosphere. That's a supercharger, ya drongo.
@@numbereightyseven One side of the turbo is being powered by exhaust fumes, the other one (cold side) is "pushing" the air into the engine. Thats why you have an blow off, so after you let off the gas, the presure is released.
@@numbereightysevenTurbos are spun by the exhaust they still intake the air from atmosphere do you think the turbos feed the exhaust gases back into the engine? Get educated

I'm probably one of the few that thiunks Porsches in general don't sound that great.. There just isn't much of a tone. The deceleration of the first one sounded good but not so much when he was on throttle, until the upper RPM's. EDIT: Except for the Carrera GT, of course.. but I did just watch a vid of a GT3RS with an Akropovik exhaust and that sounded 10x better than this straight piped one, so..

Turbo six pots just don’t have that same character compared to an n/a , even though modern turbo engines can rev like hell they just don’t wake up if that makes sense it’s a very flat softened sound whereas a naturally aspirated straight six or even v6 hit that sweet spot when there high in the revs and they just howl and growl!

Impressive how composed the chassis of the GT2 is with it's wheels spinning. A Corvette in the same situation would have slid itself in to reverse.
