these are all really basic drum setups, easy to create. I dont get why u should copy them and not improving your skills. Its another thing when we talk about melodys but drum kits, srsly. U will get better each time u add one in your track and outperforme these with ez.
I'm not against improving your sound but maybe you can get some cool sounds when doing it with more complicated drums. I don't think the idea is for this to be the end-all-be-all but just to get some quick ideas down. I think he even mentioned it at the end of the video too.
It's more about idea generation. It's up to you to go in and get surgical or outright replace elements. Sometimes hearing something lets you know what you don't want and what it should be instead
@@officialjonpaultrust me most artist will hear complicated drums and get turned off by it. Most beat review sessions I watch the producer will say they need to take some drums out 7 times out of 10.
@scarvello nah fr. I simplified a lot of my stuff and it sells a lot more forsure. I shouldn't have said more complicated (rather unique sounding) but on the other hand other genre's can benefit from more complex/cool drum patterns tho (of course if you produce like edm or something like that)
Drums alone had me hearing a Hot Line Bling vibe. Started getting tasty when you added the samples. 6:50 had me starting to freestyle. You’re a great presenter. 👊🏻😎
Wow. Man. Love the creative idea and making music. We all should take notes no matter how you build a car or song. What makes you stand out from others. Like kobe and Jordan. Played somewhat like each other. But Jordan was the master and kobe mastered the master.
I literally be doing this shit. Good sauce, tho. Another reason Cymatics the best. Edit: I love Loop Three. You should just make a bonus pack for all commenters because these loops are fire. 🔥
I'm literally blown away just by that Macro hint for the "Stretch all samples in real time". And thanks for the workflow ideas they're very inspiring 😤
Adding the full drum stems in your packs was the best thing you guys ever did! Please continue doing that. Upon downloading I immediately delete the Full Drums loops and only keep all of the individual drum stems. They get a lot of use over here because they're so much more versatile than full drum loops.
I've noticed people will TRIP over loop/samples sometimes. I love your guys' shit. I often find myself grabbing a stem randomly from literally any pack no matter what genre whether it be a bass stem, pad, piano, percussionist loop, anything all I really need is one to just spark inspiration for an entire song. Goes for when I write beats and also for EDM productions 🔥
I produce dnb with dubstep packs. I produce dnb with melodic tech house packs. This is why you should make maps with kicks, snare, hats, bass, so you dont need to go back and forth. You will find out you have hidden gems there waiting for you all that time
Took a look at their website, impressive and well organized. Downloaded some free content and had a banger made in a matter of minutes! ill be coming back for more! God bless you bro!
People SAYING 'thats killing creativity" is killing my creativity LOLOLOL keep doing ya thang ss ALWAYS Cymatics killing it. Excellent conceots here to mass generate ideas.
This is dope, if you are working with someone else who makes loops/Melodies. Otherwise, it just feels like I made someone elses beat. Imagine it this way, someone made a pretty ass drawing and now you just get to color it. It’s basically like using a coloring book. The pictures/drawings are all made for you, you just get to color it.
I've done something similar with drum loops on my MPC. Before y'all started stemming those out that is. Take a few loops, chop, re-organize and re-arrange. Sidenote: I really gotta put the time in to get that fast in FL.. lol
What a good video bro. It opens up a tremendous field in creativity. Don't worry about what people may say or think, continue doing your thing, which is high-value content. A hug.
I mostly use my own sounds and I don’t like making beats for artists. So I’m going to use your exact approach, with 3rd party loops and all, when making beats for artists. $10 beats get $10 effort. Thank you..
I do this all the time! I layer down an idea. Then duplicate and freeze one in on track replace it with loops and other samples until this something I like. Etc. Then you can mix em up or whatever. Pro tip never delete your old sketches because they might do it better within the whole concept of happy little accidents. I also do the musical and the drums separate from each other so the flow between the instruments ends up way better.
This is honestly kinda insane! I've always been the type to make my own drum loops cause I think loops are kinda meh as far as creativity but after watching this! That changed my mind 🤯
Bro! I've been using FL since 2007 and I watch a lot of videos like this... Why am I just now learning about the real time stretching macro??? FML but also TYVM! hahaha
Haha I wish. For melody loops, we go from scratch. I do want to find more ways to tweak this process to find interesting drum loops. It’s easier when keys aren’t involved.
This was super dope, I may not use loops but I definitely use y'all drum samples in EVERY production. Love y'all stuff. The best imo

Sometimes it's just about getting the youtube channel bag 😂. You can always improve at other times... just not all the time😅

That second kick hits on the phone
that effect when it says like step x blank the effect that hits twice is an omnishpere sound am I right or am I right?
blessed technique - love it
You could use ableton to achieve this same task and achieve it much easier with clip launching mode as well. thanks for the video though!!
If it help speed up ur workflow what the problem. I think it's a great idea.
cos it lacks creativity, your not even making your own beats your just dragging shit in
Steven Always gives us a tricks which should be illegal

Cant wait to hear your releases then. pretty sure they sound totally unique! hush hush its a secret
Cymatics, simply the best!

if you have stems this is kinda common sense sounds busy as hell do you even key your drums or is this the whole demo
I'm literally blown away just by that Macro hint for the "Stretch all samples in real time".

I've been using FL since '07 and didn't know that. Literally best tip ever fr
yeah that was a GEM
Ableton might be losing the DAW wars but at least time stretching is simple as changing the tempo... no extra steps.

Eh loops tho. I would rather create my own . Meh be creative with your own stuff imo
Technically this is just mixing pre made songs. It takes a little mathematical skill but no creativity..

rather than stifle creativity, I feel like this inspires it.... Hitting those happy accidents leads to fun sessions and great tracks!

This is why I absolutely love cymatics and the way they create. They definitely look out for creators and artists.

You definitely have good sounds . I’ve been testing your trial/pack version of your libraries. I definitely will be buying some.
Waiting for Phoenix to drop on the 17th! You guys been the only samples i been using lately..keep up the good work❤
Yooo that last loop was 🥶 definitely thought about doing this but haven't yet or very little. Now I want to!!!
Hello how to make kick and snare and hihat everyone alone from just one sample like you did it in 0:35

simplicity is key! video is a helpful tip
Just imagine how many "MoneyMan" type beats you can make from this formula. A album worth in like 4hours😂
Just downloaded all the free kits 2 dai sounds amazing 🔥🙆🏾♂️

Golden nuggets bro
I was trying to do this couldn’t figure it out but you showed me the missing key thanks fam
Trap loops + Trap Loops = TRAPTASTIC LOOPS. Thank you to the Procedural Generation Initiative!
I already use this busted technique. Saves me a lot of time to be honest.
awesome
No mpc??
This would be so much easier and better in Ableton. In the grid just put the stem sets in one row at a time and then mix and match.
Shout Out Cymatics, They Really Important in The Community 🤝🙏
This is honestly kinda insane! I've always been the type to make my own drum loops cause I think loops are kinda meh as far as creativity but after watching this! That changed my mind 🤯
I know right. Who would think of using loops in the way they are literally made to be used? what a genius.
And the CYMATICS BadBunny pack is sweet!
Also how and what do you press in fl studio to drag, more than one loop into playlist?
This is wicked! Also what does the name Cymatics mean?
Bro! I've been using FL since 2007 and I watch a lot of videos like this... Why am I just now learning about the real time stretching macro??? FML but also TYVM! hahaha

Love your work Steven
still on the grid tho
