He's getting frustrated and short with the ground crew when he's to blame for being inexperienced when it came to jumping. He's lucky he didn't get killed or seriously hurt. Just because you have a parachute on does it guareteen you a safe landing. Overall I enjoyed watching this, kudos to the amazing support team. Your the ones that made this happen for David and his daughter. He was just along for the ride in my opinion.
31:03 the lines going up and down that little monitor attached to his hands are caused by the refresh rate of that screen and the refresh rate or fps of the camera recording it... The problem can be solved by synching up the fps and refresh rates between the camera and the device, which in this case would have aided in safety communications between ground team and Blaine. Surprised nobody did that for them...
I am am am ex-military parachutist and a skydiving instructor! My question is why in the world was the parachute not in place from the start? Looked like a very unnecessary safety risk Theron
Seems like it'd be way easier to set the rigging up to the balloon by using the chute, with no need for all that weird unnecessary stuff that could quite easily end in disaster. I just can't for the life of me understand why they thought that was the best available option.
It’s because they were going for a certain look of him being floated by the balloons with no parachute. The parachute on his back gives a whole different look and him having to strap a chute on at altitude is all part of the stunt. This whole operation is an unnecessary risk just like all of his other stunts
52:50 seem high? He is only a little over 2/3 to how deep the deepest part of the ocean is. To be as high above the ground as the deepest part of the ocean is below the ground, he would have to go up another 11,301 ft. That gives you some perspective.
@@solcutta3661 Scary indeed when you think that he would be looking at that depth of water all around the view he had. But unlike the empty sky he is looking at, with the ocean IT'S FULL OF SEA CREATURES at every level!
5:48 Seems like a very uncomfortable harness he's wearing. Why not arrange it so he's centered and sitting comfortably, instead of crooked like that? 16:20 And why struggle with the parachute aloft, instead of just wearing it from the beginning? Seems like a strangely planned stunt.
I think they purposely had him sit crooked like that so he would have that image of looking like he’s holding on to the balloons instead of harness on. It’s just Looks more better I guess
@@billyvang4658 Makes sense, and also explains why he didn't wear the parachute. If you show only the part when he's flying, it does look like he's holding on with hand.

I asked myself questions like "what if he blacks out? --- what if his finger get numb and he can't pull the release. What if he keeps going up." I had to continue watching ... and yes ... he did it at over 25000. GREAT JOB. Your are the second David and Copperfield seems to be Goliath. YOU ARE A WINNER. Thanks for your bravery and your shows.

why everyone skyjumps... not gone lie this video wasnt that amazing.. big deal he jumped
This is incredible. I always knew this was possible but just really amazing!
Then why is it incredible?
To skydive from 24k feet ?
it's not incredible...it's easy...i would do it in a second. you just float up, cut loose, and skydive...it's silly.
@@rwhirsch I see your multiple comments of saying this isn't incredible to different people. You must wish you did this. Jealousy speaks the way you do.
@@KB-nt7eg i WOULD like to do this...it would be fun. they injected to much fake drama into the video because i know as a skydiver that this would be no big deal to execute...and all the couch potatoes think "oh my god, how could this even be possible!!"... so i guess i oppose the sensationalism attached to the video...whatever.
At first I was thinking that guy must be completely out of his mind with trusting a bunch of those balloons but in the end 👏👏👏 That was something like heaven on earth WoW awesome ✅
Right, Right. Birds have beaks and claws, bees have stingers, brats have beebe guns and then there are the sinister types. Gusts of wind, rain and hail. On and on so don't try this at home. I cannot imagine what plan B was supposed to be if he passed out.
Another one using WoW... wtf? Get off the game lol.
Trusting the Balloons ? They're only there to get you up in the Air remember he had a parachute and A backup parachute also lol
@@Tarheelsruleit's a fake arm. He's harnessed completely 🎉🎉🎉
His daughter is a sweetheart. David seems like he could be a conceded, pompous jerk. He was just along for
the ride in my opinion.
Please....
Looked like a very unnecessary safety risk
Theron
Seems like it'd be way easier to set the rigging up to the balloon by using the chute, with no need for all that weird unnecessary stuff that could quite easily end in disaster. I just can't for the life of me understand why they thought that was the best available option.
It’s because they were going for a certain look of him being floated by the balloons with no parachute. The parachute on his back gives a whole different look and him having to strap a chute on at altitude is all part of the stunt. This whole operation is an unnecessary risk just like all of his other stunts
Like most American television they have to create drama
Also maybe if your going for unnecessary risks you'd not do it at all
I’m sure it was only part of his bs stunt
Awesome, well done 👍🏽👏👏👏
I need a shower after watching that...I've got sweat coming out of every pore of my skin. That stunt took some bollox 👏👏
You have to love how RUclips is the closest thing to a time machine we have
Incredible grip strength! I’m kidding, I know
I can’t believe they tried to play this off like he was holding on the whole time. You can see his arm buried in the sweater. Was this a joke or?
He was harnessed, which you can clearly see the safety cable and he moves both arms so one is not tucked…
Imagine seeing this without know what's going on.
Wow...super experience....I watched the every second of this video...❤❤❤❤❤❤😊
Those instructors are very good letting him live his dream. Teaching him everything he needed to know they were very patient and understanding.
@Justin Lukas 😂🤣 I though the opposite. They had to speak to him like he was a baby.

It was all a green screen! The ropes were just hanging! Sunglasses stayed on! FAKE FAKE FAKE

52:50 seem high? He is only a little over 2/3 to how deep the deepest part of the ocean is.
To be as high above the ground as the deepest part of the ocean is below the ground, he would have to go up another 11,301 ft.
That gives you some perspective.
Cool facts there friend... Awesome thought and damn scary.
Wowzers thanks
@@solcutta3661 Scary indeed when you think that he would be looking at that depth of water all around the view he had.
But unlike the empty sky he is looking at, with the ocean IT'S FULL OF SEA CREATURES at every level!
That's a lot of water
@@krainey lol it's a lot of sea life! And who knows what kind as you get closer to the bottom
Espectacular y arriesgado...FELICITACIONES por esa AZAÑA mister DAVID
5:48 Seems like a very uncomfortable harness he's wearing. Why not arrange it so he's centered and sitting comfortably, instead of crooked like that?
16:20 And why struggle with the parachute aloft, instead of just wearing it from the beginning? Seems like a strangely planned stunt.
I think they purposely had him sit crooked like that so he would have that image of looking like he’s holding on to the balloons instead of harness on. It’s just Looks more better I guess
I wondered the same thing.
@@billyvang4658 Makes sense, and also explains why he didn't wear the parachute. If you show only the part when he's flying, it does look like he's holding on with hand.
The routine I go through getting up every Monday morning....
Lol, thanks for the laugh.
🤣😅 that was a good one !
-I hear U good buddy.
51:59 He made this sound out of fear 😄😂
😂 bro I was on the ground laughing

DAVID YOUR SO BLESSED GORGEOUS LITTLE GIRL IM SO GLAD i get TO SEE THIS AGAIN WATCHED WHEN YOU DID THIS ❤️ 😮YOUR AUSUM I DREAMED OVE THIS
The little girl did it for me. Loved it.
❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
Your daughter is precious. Glad you're safe.
Finally a pleasant comment. God Bless David for making it out okay.
Risky adventure but worth it especially you landed back to earth alive and kicking!
DAVID BLAINE, YOU ARE CRAZY (IN THE NICEST POSSIBLE WAY)
HOW PROUD HIS LITTLE DAUGHTER WAS OF HER DADDY, PRETTY AWESOME WATCH THOUGH. I CAME HERE AFTER THE SPACE JUMP, THIS WAS JUST AS GOOD, IF NOT SCARIER. GLAD YOU HAD A GREAT LANDING, SMOOTH AS HELL TO PUT IT POLITELY.
Did you actually think the other video showed someone jumping from space?
Every child’s dream coming true tf he stole my dream
This guy is definitely not afraid of heights!! 😎👍🏻🤪😵💫🥳🤓
I don’t think he’s afraid of anything!
I can't believe he did the first part of the flight without his parachute on. Also wonder how cold it was at the highest point.
-It showed it was at 9 degrees at 4 miles.
Nice view of Page, AZ Airport and Lake Powell. Too bad it was a little hazy that day.
You David are an amazing human being Houdini would be so proud of you 🎉🎉🎉🎉
This stunt has really raised my already elevated blood pressure. I started to breath with him at 14000 feet, hoping he would soon decide to jump back to earth. But the minutes that followed ... Thanks for your bravery and your shows.
he clearly is wearing a harness
You can be sure there was a fail-safe in case he passed out to cut him loose and to open the chute.
Yes, this show is so exciting.
@@nonyabiz8855No shit, Sherlock
And, what was the purpose of this balloon flight?
Guy did this 50 years ago in a lawn chair and used a shot gun to shoot the balloons to get down .
YA he also killed himself so...you know there's that.
@@Johnnywhamo The flight was in 1982 and he committed suicide in 1993...so there's that.
@@unzarjones .....Sorry, yes I know that, I didn't mean to imply he died doing his stunt, I just meant the guy had some....issues.
His name is Harry Walters.
It was a pellet gun. The guy eventually took his own life.
I'm not even nervous watching him from the safety of my living room
This is historical. Not because of what he’s doing but because of the hour long plane and chemtrail free sky
'Chemtrail free sky'?
Are you one of these ignorant chemtards that thinks a CONDENSATION trail is actually a trail of 'chemicals' that's been sprayed out of commercial jet aircraft engines, in some sort of global conspiracy to either alter the earth's weather or to 'control' the world's population?
I would think the helicopters have a chemtrail.
@@cjm3122: A chem-trail is NOT a contrail, left by airplanes at much higher altitudes than helicopters!
Oh stop it!
Chemtrails, well, you drank the Kool-Aid.
