My question exactly. 'At first I was told 28 days of treatment but then the radiologist wanted to treat my lymph nodes thus the 45 days. All very scary. And I am supposed to get the Hydrogel spacer before this month).
@@jerrymunroe5593 Hi Jerry. I recently got a version of the Hydrogel. It was an uncomfortable event. Its inserted through your skin between your anus and balls. However, all studies show that this object will help with reducing the radiation exposure from external beams thus less chances of rectum issues. I start my 45 days on May 29th. Btw, I was instructed to get the gel before the radiation and to have a couple weeks before the radiation. I also had my prostate "mapped out" with a CT scan. I did so. This is so the external beams have a better understanding of your prostate and anatomy before the radiation treatment. Hope you have this going for yourself. Eric
Thank you for a great video!
Hello, In regards to the length of radiation treatment, for instance, 28 days vs. 45 days, is there a difference in side effect severity?

Can spaceOAR be used with salvage radiation?
