Just wanna mention that the fasola when buried is INSANE at gathering flint (plus its quick and agile too) Edit time! The dunky on the center is absolutely Crazy for metal theres MASSIVE clusters to harvest on the edge of the abyss
my favorite resource collectors imo: metal - ankylo for general, dunkle only for when there are rich metal nodes in the ocean, and magmasaur even though it isnt great at carrying metal stone - doedicurus (obviously) flint - hard to get good amounts of it regardless but the best way was with an akylo obsidian - definitely dunkle if there is obsidian underwater but otherwise ankylosaurus crystal - i usually use ankylo but i believe there are better ways to get crystal wood - casteroides and roll rat (therizino is quite decent too but its weight is not fit for carrying all that wood) thatch - megatherium probably fiber - therizino, megatherium, maewing chitin - megatherium 100% hide - chainsaw berries - procoptodon, megatherium, maewing (maewing bellyflop ability doesn't work sometimes tho) oil - dunkle but i would rather just use an oil pump or kill a basilosaurus silica pearls - angler 100% rotten meat - desmodus
Yeah so this vid is more supposed to be for ascended. I also have to disagree with some points. I learned that the Fasolasuchus is best for flint and for berries i’m pretty sure it’s the bronto, still thanks for taking the time to write such a long comment🙏🙏
@@goosebump27 Fasalo is probably the better flint gatherer as that’s the only thing it can gather from rocks, but overall an anky is a little better since while you get slightly less flint you get some stone and metal as well which you basically always need both of those meanwhile flint has a far more limited range of application (granted you do need a lot of it if you need gunpowder for bullets, which are another thing you always need)
My go to harvester, especially for metal, will always be the dunkie when the water allows it. The deep trench on The Center has so much metal you probably need a raft to carry all the metal you could gather down there. Plus very few creatures spawn down there so you can more or less get away with just the dunkle and not really need body guards (not that Dunkies need those typically anyway) I hope more maps give the ocean that “high risk, extreme reward” feel, with the deep ocean floor just being littered with crystal, metal, maybe some obsidian, and on certain maps even mini objectives for things like element. If they can make things like club ark they can make the more expansive maps have unique features. Crystal isles should 100% have some kind of crystal world boss, in the ocean maybe there can be a crystal mosa that can use some kind of ranged attack, then there could be a genesis like mission to escort a mammoth migration in the arctic. These could give you special upgrades or large amounts of valuable resources and blueprints
Yeah I feel the same about the ocean! Maybe when crystal isles releases sometime the crystal queen is changed somehow, also they need to bring the rockdrakes back onto crystal isles.
