The 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 is an iconic muscle car that boasts an impressive amount of styling, power and comfort! This particular model comes factory ordered with a T5 Candy Apple Red exterior, making it a real head-turner. To add to its sporty aesthetic, it also has a black out hood treatment and Mach 1 graphics, Front Splitter, rear louvers and wing giving it a sleek but aggressive look.
Under the hood of this Mustang is a fully built 351 Windsor engine that puts out an impressive 480 horsepower ( engine Dyno Sheets provided) . It's paired with a 700R4 transmission, providing smooth and efficient shifting with overdrive for its freeway cruising. The Mach 1 also features a sporty suspension system with stiffer springs, shocks, and anti-roll bars, which helped to improve handling and stability during high-speed driving. Other performance features included power brakes and power steering!
The Mustang's ignition is managed by an MSD system, providing reliable starts and smooth running. The Edelbrock RPM intake manifold and Quick Fuel carburetor work together to ensure optimal performance, while the Hooker Super Competition headers help to deliver a deep, throaty exhaust note. According to its Marti Report, this Mustang is one of only 1,994 built with these specifications, making it a rare find. It has also undergone a thorough frame-up restoration in 2011, complete with a 3-inch binder of receipts and photos, which is always a bonus when getting into a classic muscle car!
