But what really struck me as a WOW moment is that you said you would be praying for us. How lovely and loving that is. Your sister is blessed to have you in her life, especially now. But then, your whole family is blessed to have you. Thank you so much for your acts of kindness during a difficult time. And I do know what that is like, to be with a loved one during a time like this. Many family members do not want to even see their “loved” ones at that time. I wore the Miraculous medal and other medals in Vietnam , My mother had a very special devotion to Mary ,I was fired upon at near point blank range several times but was never hit one time a rocket device was fired at me at me but missed me and hit someone behind me no one in my platoon could understand how that was possible including me it would have to go through me to do that, One more thing about the time I got my orders to go to Vietnam my brother who was sleeping back home in our bedroom awoke with the whole room brightly lit up,He thought he had left the light on but the saw Mary with the three children of Fatima kneeling at her feet,He was terrified and fled the room and explained it to my mother who constantly prayed for both me and my older brother who had also been in Vietnam, Pray to Mary

I have been in pilgrimage to the chapel at Rue du Bac where Our Lady appeared and where St. Catherine lies incorrupt. I thank God for the grace of having been there and wear Our Lady's medal always. Don't forget to say the prayer daily and ask Her always to shower graces on those who forget to ask them for themselves.
The Chapelle de la Medaille Miraculeuse is my favorite church in Paris. I've been making a pilgrimage there every year for 10 or 11 years. It is soooo beautiful.
The miraculous medal reminds me that God can still do miracles, he is the all powerful, King of the Universe. I received a large miraculous medal from a lady who wanted to dispose of Catholic articles from someone who had died. The medal had a plate on the back, that swung open and written on it were the words, “I will always love you”. I took it as a sign from heaven. I have worn the medal ever since.

I am, for the first time since my conversion more than thirty years ago , hearing full stories of the beautiful saints. Life gets in our way and even God is pushed into a corner until we learn that God must be pot on a pedestal if we are to have a successful life. I thought I loved Mary but in truth I don’t know how to love her. Perhaps clutching this medal I, like a child of two years can wrap my arms about her neck and kiss her over and over all the time shedding tears and all the time repeating ‘forgive me’ .

My niece's name is Catherine. Her mother is my best friend, and was married for almost 50 years, to my big brother. He died of cancer 1 year ago, last October. His wife, the last real friend I had, died 7 months later. I miss her so much. We were like real sisters. She taught me to pray Rosary, which did something incredible. I was sure I would be struck by lightening that stormy night, and my children would be motherless. I had been told the Pope was antichrist, by people in my church. I prayed one Rosary for a terminally ill friend, which led me to the One True Catholic Church.
Its important to note wearing or believing in good luck charms is a sin against the 1st commandment because you believe that an object has power verses the power of God. So if your catholic and you have rabbits roots, evil eyes, charms, Crystal's or dream catchers or anything else throw it out and go to confession for having the object.
While I doubt that it was Mary as there is a gulf between the living and the dead. Anger is an emotion neither a good work or a sin. The Messiah himself got righteously angry many times. It all depends on why you are angry and what you choose to do about it. Almost everyone on this planet has something to be angry. If you use that anger to effect positive changes for others and yourself anger is a good wakeup call. If you use it for destructive purposes then it is a sin.
The whole immaculate conception thing would be enough to make messiahs mother mad. That concept is heresy. However Mary is NOT here she is asleep like all of the righteous dead.

Anger is a mortal sin, how can this be true? Our blessed mother comes with messages of sorrow and warnings
While I doubt that it was Mary as there is a gulf between the living and the dead. Anger is an emotion neither a good work or a sin. The Messiah himself got righteously angry many times. It all depends on why you are angry and what you choose to do about it. Almost everyone on this planet has something to be angry. If you use that anger to effect positive changes for others and yourself anger is a good wakeup call. If you use it for destructive purposes then it is a sin.
The whole immaculate conception thing would be enough to make messiahs mother mad. That concept is heresy. However Mary is NOT here she is asleep like all of the righteous dead.

It was St.Catherine who used the word angry. To say " he should be frightened of displeasing me" hardly sounds like anger but more of a warning for him that he's going against God's will. She was very displeased and there's no sin in that.

Jane, you do not understand. Catholics do not wear icons. Medals are not icons. Do you remember the necklaces with lockets? It is custom to wear a picture of our loved one around our necks. It is the same with the Virgin Mother of God. We wear her medal around our necks because she instructed us to do so. It is a constant reminder of her love for us. Would I say to you, “take off that locket with your mother on it.” No. Why? Because you are wearing it in memory of your mother. Why don’t you wear it and say the prayer on it and receive the graces promised? I dare you to put that medal around your neck. I assure you that you’ll never remove it.
