had a chain style swivel and just got a lightning fast swivel based on your recommendation and it ROCKS! thanks!
I'm an old man trying to stay fit. You are a great teacher!
Bruce M thank you my good man. Boxing will sure keep you young.
Great video's you are clear and concise, Until I watched your speed bag lesson, I was doing just what you said, finding my hand under the bag after the punch, and that's not what I want, you have given me reason to continue, and practice, practice, practice. Thanks for your help.
Good info, like all your other videos and well explained, thanks.
Cheers for the review bro. Helped out alot.
Love the shirt, and review!
Thank you. My favorite shirt.
Perfect, I hate the bigger swivel cause I get the occasional wobble. Definitely getting the smaller one
great videos great teaching shraims academy thank you
I bought one after watching this, once they were in stock. It's absolutely amazing for the standard boxers speedbag workout apart from the pin lock popping out and trying to avoid my eyes BUT if you want to do any kind of freestyle movement on that swivel (different angles etc) .. It's not the swivel for you
( it simply wants to move forward and back )
Excellent review! Thanks for the help brother. I got use to chain link swivel, but will get the lighting swivel. How often should swivel be changed?
Great review and thanks.
Thanks! Perfect!! I know what to buy now.
Neoprene washers between the pin and clevis take the slop out left and right. I used 4 washers and improved on this already great swivel.
I found Nylon washers last longer and work fast (no frictional grab) against the steel
Nice review! 👊🏻
I have a 9" long bag and the longer swivel... my bag is different shape tho... i really like the look of these bag and swivel... I am newbie so... I run what i have for now... Love your vids
Yeah that's probably a good idea bro. To stick with the larger bags to start, til you get well on your way at least.
Else small one would probably drive you nuts and the larger ones will hove a larger likelihood of not giving up from frustration.
Very good video thank you 🙏
Thank you. Amazing to me that it took so many decades for people to see that shorter is faster.
Refragger totally agree
I bought this swivel on Title’s Amazon shop based off your video and a couple others. Mine came in in a plain white box with 4 tiny wood screws and a made in Pakistan sticker and had a bunch of visible black machine grit on the backside of the bearing. No title branding and the mounting holes were too small for the provided screws, I’d have to ream out the holes and put in different longer 1/4” screws (since I modded my EA platform and added two 1” boards on top). Was wondering if you had the same experience when you purchased your title lightning fast swivels? Thanks
I have two style swivels at home. The first had the same construction as the one you first showed but had a shackle like the others. I wanted a shorter shackle as it added about an inch drop, so I found a chain link at the hardware store and it drastically shortened the length. I like it so far, but I haven't tried much side to side motion yet.
My other swivel is the same style as the last two you compared, but from everlast. I actually was pretty satisfied with this one, but again, the shackle I feel adds too much drop. I'm currently searching for a shorter shackle, but a little tough when they only come in standard sizes. If anyone found a way to shorten the distance on the everlast swivel I'd like to know what you did.
that lightning fast swivel is sold out....what is my next option you recommend? not sure what platform yet im buying but leaning towards the everlast adjustable and adding the table tops on top like i've seen. Not sure if all swivels universally fit different platforms.
Loved the video! Can you tell me where you can buy the platform sand bag "Greatness is Within"? Or any bag to help with the vibrations.
Thank you my man. Here is a link to the anchor bag. www.everlast.com/fight/boxing/punching-bags/double-end-anchor
Shirt👍 thanks for the videos
Have you tried FIRST RATE BOXING’s swivel? I am considering one.
I have a similar chain link Everlast clip and the easiest way to replace the bag and change the chainlink clip is with a pair of channel locks
IKR you can do it with your eyes closed. I'm an old MC rider so I've serviced many masterlinks.
Awesome t-shirt!!! Great advice btw
Haha thanks man. I am glad you noticed the shirt.
GREAT VIDEO 👍 👍
lol i have an old S swivel. Works fine too, but probably not quite as fast, and noisier too with the squeaks
thanks ! for the video! ! what t what thickness platform you recommend! I planning to do it! again thanks for the video!!
I would go with four inches thick.
Do you recommend the lighting fast one for better bag control then?
Any opinions about meister thunderbolt swivel? Design seems pretty similar to title lightning fast swivel
Wins the competition hands down ehh...? 🤨
Nah I’m j/k great review coach! 😉
I feel like chain like swivel allows for more variation of hitting the bag. I just witch to lightning fast title. It's great but I suck at trying to be fancy. I can only hit it normally since it doesn't have the 360° contact. Someone needs to make a chain like with super speed and low noise.
hi, coach I just subscribed. I just bought a speed bag set but in about 2 months, the speed bag popped. What speed bag would you recommend for performance and durability
Try this one www.titleboxing.com/punching-bags/speed-bags/title-platinum-perilous-speed-bag
2:22 I agree 100% That is the swivel I started on and I wouldn't recomend it.
How do you open this type of swivel I can’t figure it out
@@bossbrown9759 Take a close look. there is a part you can remove with pliers.
@@TheLoobis 3 years later and you responded 💪🏼🤝🏽 thank you. I ended up using a flat head screw driver and took it apart
@@bossbrown9759 I just saw it 31 minutes ago.
@@TheLoobis I’m saying you left your very first comment on this video 3 years ago lol. An still active on your RUclips to respond and I appreciate the response.
Great video. But those small title bags have laces that go all over and don’t feel balanced and have a kind of dead feeling….meister speed kills or balazs lazer are much more lively
Thanks bro
Rival came out with a new swivel that looks very similar to the lightning-fast. It's about half the price of the Title swivel. Can't find any reviews on it though.
Hmmm will check them out for sure. There is two more swivels I would like to try out also b
@@AhmedShraim Well, I bit the bullet and ordered one, so I will come back and let you know how it is.
@@BlackSpineHorror I will be waiting to hear your feed back
@@AhmedShraim Just an update: I installed the swivel and I can't recommend it at all. It's worse than my Everlast swivel. Sure, it's shorter, but the workmanship is so shoddy that the whole thing is out of balance and the bag flies everywhere no matter how precise the hit. Rival really needs to rethink having all of their stuff made in China. I am sure they are saving money, but if the product is poor, I'm sure their sales are going to suffer with the bad reviews.
thanks for the review! how does the title lightning fast speed bag compare to other bags?
It is smaller, lighter and much faster. A bit hard to train with if you never hit a speed bag before.
@@AhmedShraim cool thank you. would you recommend me starting out with a different bag to learn with? or could i just jump straight to this bag and get used to it?
I would go with the Titleboxing Mustard color bag. Best for beginners and intermediate boxers. You can start with the lighting bag but it will be harder to learn and improve.also if you watch my video on how to choose the right speed bag you will find more detailed info on the bags.
What about a short piece of strong rope? It would swivel in all directions. Simple, cheap, adjustable....
Maybe high quality nylon or dyneema?
Maybe the stuff used by arborists? (Like ZingIt) Or rock climbers (available by the foot at REI)? Or the heavy duty braided dyneema used by deep sea fishermen?
Why not? Maybe cable? Give it a shot. (Let us know.)
How about chainsawing a 4-6" slab of wood from a fallen tree, to use as a platform? Maybe oak or some other solid, dense wood, about two feet in diameter?
Depends on how it level. (May need to plane/sand) If cracks (often), could either use filler or attach the swivel to the commercial base like Shraim suggested.
Also, can you do a review on the black platform in the background
Survival Matters working on a video on how to make one like that.
Shraims academy cool
Shraims academy
Looking forward too that. My speed bag is too slow because the top vibrates too much
Can you link some of the swivels that you used in this video ?
Where did you get your speed bag frame from?
Since the lightning fast swivel is the fastest in the market, would you still recommend it for beginners? Or would you recommend the slightly larger Title swivel shown in the video?
Aiden Alexander yes without a doubt. You don’t have a previous experience so you wouldn’t know any difference. I would go with it.
@@AhmedShraim Perfect thank you. Is there a certain size speed bag you would recommend as well for a beginner? I know the Title mustard yellow bag is a favorite, however since it is a 5x7 do you think I should wait until I have some experience before purchasing? Or do you have another speed bag recommendation for beginners?
Aiden Alexander nope. Go with the recommended one. It is perfect for beginner intermediate and advanced.
@@AhmedShraim Okay thank you sir, I appreciate it and your videos!
Una pregunta cual es el más rápido y cómo se llama para buscarlo en internet y comprarlo
Where’s the best place to purchase this swivel?
Useful
Any links for the lightning fast swivel?
www.titleboxing.com/punching-bags/speed-bags/super-fast-pro-swivel
What about the ball swivel ..I hear that had better ranges for more types of excersises
I had a ball swivel, but it seemed very "entry level". The one I had was an Everlast, or TKO. Lots of sloppy play in the mechanism and it was loud. Seriously, I had to use ear plugs due to all the racket it produced.. maybe someone in the industry has since improved it?
which swivel do you recommend for the smallest ringside speed bag?
Not sure a short swivel would be a good idea unless you are very fast and have great precision striking. If so, then the title lightning swivel would be faster that I tested.
Can you explain how you customized the darker platform?
02phenom the platform is four layers of wood. Three top layers are made of Oak and the lowest one is the layer that came with the speedbag platform. Pressed and glued together than rim is painted back to match.
Shraims academy
Thank you for the response. You’ve had the results with this method? Thanks again
02phenom yes. All three platforms.
I just ate through my 3rd Forza Swivel. The 3rd one broke after 3 weeks. I order my first title lightening swivel yesterday and going nuts waiting on it. How do side strikes hold up?
Haven't noticed any problems with either one of the two currently we have at the gym. Both perform great from all hitting angles.
How much abuse can the lightening take before having to replace?
@@user-gr7go8qe6c They get daily abuse by all kinds of fighters every day and so far they performed flawlessly.
I appreciate it boss, thanks for the input
Just wanted to update: Got my Lightening fast swivel today and we have been getting acquainted for a couple hours now. I just wanna say I Fucking Love this swivel!
Where can I get the new fast one? Do you have a link?
Mario D www.titleboxing.com/super-fast-pro-swivel
@Shraims academy please help! is a 24” diameter speed bag drum big enough for 10” X 7” speed bag? I need to know if I need to shell out the extra $300+ for a 30” diameter drum
Yes. I believe the 24 inch should be enough. But i would get a smaller bag if i were you.
@@AhmedShraim Why? 9" X 6" is standard, what's 1" more?
@@AhmedShraim why smaller than 10X7?
and what's the deal with all these ball hook swivels? I plan on getting one of those because they're so damn popular
@@wm.h.9123 I've used 2 "S" (plastic, brass) and the three Shraim suggested. Lightening Fast is far-and-away the best. All reasonably priced for years of use from Title, especially when on sale.
Have you tried rival boxing's speed bag swivel?
Not yet. Will be testing the Meister swivel within the next two weeks. Which rival swivel are you asking about?
Have you ever used any Rival Product's.
Yes. Gloves, hand wraps and speed bags. Great products. My number one recommendation for gloves always is Rival.
RUclips algorithm reading my mind now, sheshh
Hi, so how does that compare with a ball& hook swivel which can no longer be found? Thanks
Why do you think the ball and hook swivel no longer is available on the market?? Cause it is an old tech and the newer swivels are far better.
@@AhmedShraim so can I still do elbow moves and side punches with the new lightning fast swivel? Thanks
@@gofflion the shorter radius would make it a bit tougher but a loop and pin style does give some lateral play.
what you think about jeff trasher's T hook swiwel in comparison with title?
If you are using the speed bag for boxing training then I wouldn’t recommend his swivel. His swivel is designed for speed bag tricks that have nothing to do with boxing training.
@@AhmedShraim thank you so much for the relevant answer. you are pretty convincing advising the black title speed bag as the best, but among only title brand!? are you judging only that brand?
@@AhmedShraim yes i am interested in boxing type of training but the most important thing is the most quiet swiwel due to my neighbour.
@@AhmedShraim i am ponderous between title black speed bag and very similar title type coming in the black and white version? which is better and why?
@@AhmedShraim those swiwels for tricks are slower than those for boxing training? or it's something else than quickness?
was on the site! TITEL.com.... could not find it! send a link please! quick twisted swevel please!
It looks like title boxing is either out of stock or not selling them any more.
How do u get that piece off of the chain link swivel ?
That is a very hard answer to explain but you will need pylers and a lot of patience.
@Shraims academy, alright I will give r a shot. Thank you
The lighting swivel wobbles so much
Check if your bag is lob sided or if you are hitting it from the sides instead of the center.
Has anyone found where to buy the best one
There isn’t really the best one to be honest. There are the better ones. But will depend on one’s skill level. Shorter swivels are hard to control and tend to be very fast. Longer swivels have more forgiveness and a tad slower.
I bought an Fast super Swivel from TITLE but the quality (made in Pakistan) is very very bad, they send me another and also that one is very bad quality. There is too much play/movement on the parts and some parts were also damaged.. definitely not worth the money..
if you're not using a traditional "ball-hook" swivel you don't really know what you're talking about on a speed bag ... stop promoting brands you're misleading people.
Where do I get a ball/hook and who still makes 'em? They are much harder to find..
@@danmclean7375 you can find an okay metal ball/hook still on ebay $19.99 with free shipping. Type in Porter 910 or vintage Porter. I recently had one made buy a guy in Texas search Jthrasher on Instagram or i think he has another page speedbagthrasher ...good dude makes good swivels ...i know what ya mean man they are no longer mass produced its frustrating
There's a guy in the Philippines that makes a stainless steel traditional Ball and S-hook swivel, There is also Jeff Thrasher and there is also another great swivel out there that alot of people like too, it's called the Arc Swivel, I use both the Stainless Steel one from Butch in the Philippines and The Arc swivel from Thomas here in America, Contact me if you want to find any one of those swivels.
