Ke'Bryan Hayes is a name at 3rd I’m kinda interested in case Pittsburgh gives up on him but we can’t take a chance on a guy who could hit he has all the talent and just one of the best gloves in baseball but has never really shown he can hit so can’t really risk it when our window is closing
None of the 3rd base options sound all that promising. I don’t suppose poor man Stanton would consider bringing back Geno. Even if they didn’t consider position and production, they REALLY need to consider team chemistry and stop messing that up. People matter. If Santana was there last year, they probably make the playoffs again. If Geno was there this year, they probably make the playoffs even if he only contributed the same number of RBIs as Rojas/Urias.
Are there any 3B that you can reasonably get for less than $12m? Why not take Polanco's option and move him to third? Maybe he bounces back to form. Maybe we can trade for someone with club control, and we can at least flip him for decent-ish prospects or a bullpen arm. An unpopular opinion, I know, but at least worth considering.
Wow Colby did not want to do this podcast today lol

It doesn't even matter if they make the playoffs or not. They need to win out to make it to 54%
To be fair if they were at .540 right now they would be a half game out of 1st and 2nd in the WC.
@@stardogMLB it's only fair! Jerry based af
lol- Ty, "We're not doing that again." I've told my Dad for two decades bunting isn't a good play. Dan, from my memory, was an excellent bunter.
Does Julio have the kind of drive that inspires you to think he’ll lead us to the promise land?
Abraham Toro or Ryan McMahon are the first that come to mind.
The Mets are unlikely to keep Vientos & Baty. Maybe Baty is cheap?

Would you give Luis Urias another chance at 3rd?
How much would it cost to pry Mark Vientos out of the Mets?
I'm not saying it makes him our 2025 third baseman but you had to know Rojas was gonna do something after this POD
