The Schrade sheep's foot is the "bee's knees" Super cool knife. Keep up the fantastic videos. I enjoy them daily. God's peace and blessing on you and your family.
Knot knife is amazing doc..and it was in your book you just got...seen a knife in that book with the rope spike on it ..didnt know it was a war knife I have one...thanks for showing that book
I spotted all 3 of the zippos that I sent in your display and I sent you the proof sample from the Schrade factory!!!! Same package. Another awesome coincidence!! You brightened my Day!!
Kevin I was born on the 13th of November. In life, if that's the way the cards are delt you just have to embrace the fact! So, 13 is my LUCKY number brother.
Love the Barlow!! I just purchased a new Lake Champlain Barlow in titanium and with An M390 hollow ground sheep’s foot blade. Got it from @traditionalknifeco a USA company. I love a sheep’s foot blade myself. I know why that shape was made. If you’re on a boat rocking back and forth you’re less likely to stab yourself or a shipmate!! In case you hadn’t heard. I cleaned up a knife I sent you and I liked the way it felt in my pocket and the way it reminded me of my youth!!
Nice display case for your zippo lighters please don't use windex on it just worm soapy water windex will make the plastic glass cloudy after a while thanks for the video and story about your mom God bless
Very nice finds. New shop is looking great. I like Zippo the display. I have a newer model 60 count one that I almost have full. I’m starting the hunt for another display. Not sure id you know but those open slots where the Zippos sit allow the older boxes that open into it’s own little stand to fit. That opening lets the stand part slide in so you don’t have take it off the box.
I would use a brass pin to hold the spring when you make that Jack a single blade. It will mushroom head easier then steel will and be less likely to break the bone.
I have a kershaw like that one but it’s called the outlaw and it has the same handle and it’s got a nylon sheath. Seems like a very sturdy knife. Just wish it wasn’t fully serrated
Crazy coincidences u come accross faited knife collecting no wonder u get the goose bumps i would too cheers for the videos i will not miss any and being in the UK fantastic i het home from work and relax to the knife doc doing his stuff a great way to wind down as i love the hunt aswell gonna have alook out this weekend cheers doc for all u do a worl war 2 knife can you adam and eve that cheers doc once again excellent just excellent 👍👍
It’s an amazing coincidence for me too about the Camillus rope knife. I also bought one about a month ago on eBay. But I couldn’t find any information on it. But I was very suspicious it was a military knife. I found one close to it in the military knife book Mr. Eric helped us to learn about, but it was exactly the same. So, I deeply appreciate the video and the knife because of you I know exactly what it is.
Another great video, I agree on cleaning the knives and keeping them clean. I just got my first Randall this morning, never thought I would own one but things played out and I got it. It is nice. Awesome what the channel is doing with the great knife family out there.
With my grands watching you this rainy morning . Playing games and hanging out . I had 2 friends pass at 55 ( years ago ,,, and they were best buds not acquaintances, ). I’m just dwelling on yesterday’s knife community thankfull Thursday ‘chain ‘ this morn. My wife was sharing some thoughts with our oldest , about 5 funerals that we have been to in 6 weeks. Life is very short - well for most of us. I wish all a great week end . Kevin thanks for you and sharing your life with us ! And thanks to your family for sharing their time with you - with us.
Kevin that's going to be a great camillus when you clean it up. My advice is clean it up and enjoy it. Knowing that you have a habit of cutting yourself get all the rust off 😊be safe and GOD BLESS AMERICA 🇺🇸 🙏
That's weird 😦, I found a rope knife just like that at a flea market two weeks ago ! U-Rah!!! Paid $ 20. Bucks 💰. Great video DOC.... Semper Fi Marine 💪....
It's your knife and you can clean it all you want sir! :) haha. You do you my friend. Love that you are supporting a great charity and people (I think) appreciate you do this for love and not for personal gain (other than the fun you have!! haha). Great stuff as always. T
Hey Kevin I watched the video from yesterday where you found that black and green handled buck night hawk. It’s a short nighthawk they have a size bigger with a non serrated edge. I have one just like it I got when I was like 16 probably the first good quality fixed blade I bought. They are awesome knives and 50 bucks is a great deal on it
Kevin great video as usual. 2CG is going to be tickled when he sees this video. Also have you seen Scott's channel "Southern Knife Hobbist" has gotten up to 455 subacribers since you suggested your viewers to check him out. You're right the Vintage Knife Community is an awesome group of people. You're a good guy Kevin. I want you to know that I appreciate you keeping your video content wholesome. Like most RUclips watchers I have a list of RUclipsrs I watch daily. I only watch RUclipsrs that keep their content clean and they are all Christian people. So Scott's channel fit into my daily watch list perfectly. Thank you kindly for suggesting him.
19:19 The Remington Scout I just finished is not a repro. I think it's original. It's not quite finished, but the hard stuff is. The finishing is what I love and don't consider taxing. If you want this Remington Scout let me know and we can email.
Awesome video as always Kevin. You talk about coincidence! I just found one of those Camillus Knifes last Thursday at an estate sale. Got it for $8! I think mine is newer though, everything looks identical but it is only a 3 line tang stamp. but the other side of the tang has Approved USCG 1944 Q5. Do you have any info on that? Thanks
Hi knife doctor ref the Victorinox knifes , I've never heard you refer to the pin that's on some of them, mine is below the corkscrew. Thanks for what you do . I love the look of your Zippo display.
Robidoux Creek is gonna be disappointed as he sending in one for you to tear apart as well to get the part. If you go back to video when you received the Schrade I wished you luck on getting a finished one to mount them side by side
Love the coincidences and love the Zippo display case, I remember when that kind of stuff was the Norm in stores, the advertising had "Character" back in the day, maybe just because I lived it, I was born in 1948 and grew up in the 50's and 60's so things have changed and the concerns of being politically correct of today is not necessarily for the best Now you be nice Kevin needs those bragging rights , take him a box of KFC chicken
Hey Doc! I have been watching your videos since the very beginning and absolutely love your videos! Can’t never thank you enough for what I have learned from you! I have a question, would you possibly be interested in buying a very nice display case for a really good deal? I would love to have your contact info so I could send pictures and stuff! God Bless You Brother! I also commented on yesterday’s video but was afraid you may not see it! Sorry! Haha!
Thats a beautiful knife. why not try all hand work on the restoration, without any power tools. I know you can do it. Apply yourself to accomplish a beautiful job.
Jesus plus 12 apostles = 13. Just remember that next time evil one wants to try an make anyone fear 13. Plus they always made 13 as a “baker’s dozen” in case one fell off, that’s an expression of grace don’t forget now God bless
Nice doctor off nice could I ask you a question please I asked Paddy potato peeler because he showed a pocket knife worth worth two and a half grand in sterling I asked him if the man was blind who bought it and what's the man on drugs who were selling it and I asked him to answer me Maldon 5 times Annie still hasn't answered me please Kevin will you ask him I'll let me know I think your name is Kevin the knife doctor thank you keep it up keep it going
one thing that I find weird , you will buy a Japan ( country that bombed Pearl Harbor ) made knife but absolutely refuse to even think about buying a China made knife even when the profit from it is going to a American owned company ....... just plain friggin weird cause I'm the opposite I won't touch a Japan made knife but will a China made knife as long as the company is a American owned company.
I have a schrade walden 175 I bought back in April with the sheepsfoot blade I bought it for myself for my birthday. And I love it. I'll send you a photo to your email.
I like your show Sir. , the Rope knife you showed reminded me of a knife I purchased at a garage sale here in Western N.Y. it looks like a twin to yours . Mine is marked Approved - U.S.C.G.- 1944-796 - Kutmaster -Utica N.Y. U.S.A.
I totally agree with you about cleaning the knives. I love to put them back into service, that's honoring the knives to me.
I believe the Dr. was having a moment with that Camillus 4 line. 😁 Can't wait to see it shine like new money!
That bone handled knife is going to make an epic single blade.
Man that Schrade 175 Floral knife is nice!! I have one just like it in amazing shape. I love it!! Simple but so good! God bless ya brother Kevin!!!
The Schrade sheep's foot is the "bee's knees" Super cool knife. Keep up the fantastic videos. I enjoy them daily. God's peace and blessing on you and your family.
That price guide was a cool find.
God Bless Brother !!!

I never was a fan of sheepsfoot blades but now I love them.
I spotted all 3 of the zippos that I sent in your display and I sent you the proof sample from the Schrade factory!!!! Same package. Another awesome coincidence!! You brightened my Day!!
Thank you again!!
The sign and Zippo case look great.
I cleaned mine too! ❤😊
28:22 You and I are of the same mind. When I clean old knives, I get rid of the dirt and rust but leave the patina.
Kevin I was born on the 13th of November. In life, if that's the way the cards are delt you just have to embrace the fact! So, 13 is my LUCKY number brother.
9:31 Yes.

Awesome!
I absolutely love the Camillus rope knife. I have one that’s newer than the one you have. Thanks for sharing.
That kershaw looks like my old gerber gator
Really enjoyed that one Kevin.
Such a great new setting! That Zippo display even makes ME feel like a kid on Christmas morning; I know your happy to have it in place!
LOL! Thank you!

Good morning!!
Kevin I have heard that you can use a piece of an Allen wrench for a lock back spring. May be worth a try

I have a kershaw like that one but it’s called the outlaw and it has the same handle and it’s got a nylon sheath. Seems like a very sturdy knife. Just wish it wasn’t fully serrated
Sir.
I like u r wishing style to the entire world.
I found that same Camillus in Burkburnett Texas a couple of months ago on a trip with my wife. Gave $10 for it and am glad that I did.
My dad was in the Merchant Marine in WW2. I've got his PAL fixed blade. I'm sure he would've loved this folder!

Good morning and God bless.

I have that 4 line Camillus as well. But, mine is a wood handle 😊 It's pitted pretty bad though...
This one is wood also. Just cleaned it.😊
I just picked up a camillius 697 marlin spike never been used at a yard sale its in your book another coincidence
Even more coincidental for finding that patch is the fact that it's from the 23rd precinct and this was the 23rd anniversary of 9/11
Wasn't born on a Friday but my birthday is today. Great video.

That WWII knife is really cool Doc. I do glad to see Mr. Glenn doing better. Any update yet on Mr. Wade?

Hahaha hahaha 😆
😊
I am not sure which SAK it is, but I found it in a local pawnshop and has a serrated Main blade.
Man you even got a Zippo display case - I wonder if you will be able to locate a Case display?
Hey Kevin , March 14th was my Grandmother's birthday . She would be 115 on her next birthday .
Wow!!
How do I buy a hat exactly like you are wearing in this video?
Do you recommend oiling up a new knife and sheath?
Yes sir. When you buy new knives with sheaths I can say that most of the sheaths are dry.
