I really love watching these videos. I grew up in the bush, but now in the city this is very cool to watch. I grew up around great knives, my father a trapper/hunter and a coleman/western rep for a time (they merged while he was the local repair for coleman and crossman). I always look at the thrift, but never find the beauties you do. Cheers, and thanks for sharing.

Notice the imperial that was produced from ( 36-52 ) was still made with quality materials, brass pins, and liners, nickel silver bolsters and actual handle scales. I say again quality materials. I don't know for sure when it was they started using the fold around tabs. They just were not the same. Stay safe . Blessings to you and yours. Cheers. 😊

Those knifes with the price tags on them if you warm up the tags with a heat gun or hair dryer they will come off and usualy not leave any glue residue or paper behind. Up here in the pacific northwest Washington state been looking for a Colonial fish knife for some time now hard to find up here. One of My local thrift stores is getting a large box of old knifes this thursday cant wait I will be there waiting for them to open up. My belt sander from Harbor Freight began to shock me. My brother informed me that the shock was from the sanding belt building a static charge and discharging it
through my body. I noticed that it did not do this on damp or rainy days. It only
happened on cool crisp days. The same days that I would get small shocks from the
doorknobs and other metal objects in my home. I think this may be the reason for the shocks from your belt grinder as well.

The TL -29 knife was issued as a standalone "Tool for Linesman" knife as well as part of the TL-33 "Linesman tool set" and was carried in the top pocket of the double pocket CS-34 leather pouch. The lower pouch carried TL-13 Linesman pliers with the knife stored between the handles. The CS-34 pouch and tools was issued to engineers and signal corps troops. Early versions with wood handle and brass liners were switched out to steel liners due to the need for wartime brass.

Kershaw is known for that. Lots of counterfeit Kershaws, Benchmades out there. Not on the older stuff though.

I'm not a big fan of the yellow composition knives either. They look decent at first. Then they crack at the pins and look horrible.

The yellow synthetic handles or any synthetic handles. I don't buy anymore either.
