Really fun to watch! I love playing a spino and bumping into a greedy pack of utahs that think they can tail ride a spino. Patience is key in moments like this, I always try to bait them in and make them come to me, leaves no room for error on their part instead of mine. 😀
Tips for fighting Utahs (what I’ve found): -don’t let the Utahs bait you -don’t constantly run around. Utahs will try to waste your stamina -stay in an open space if you can help it. The best spot for a Utah to fight is in dense forest or anywhere they can duck and weave around obstacles (like port, for example) -if possible, try not to let the Utahs surround you, that is one of their more deadly tactics -do not let them tail ride you. -break check them often, but not in a pattern. Try to be as random as you can. -z walk is your friend -the Utahs will try to bleed you out. Try to end the fight as fast as possible. -you can always put your back to a wall/source of water to prevent being surrounded -I don’t recommend taking on a Utah pack head on. Unless you have insane skills, like sticky. -make sure you know the rules of the server before initiating any fights (this goes for all pvp) -try not to let the utahs sit and heal bleed, if they stay alive for to long then they will just bleed you out. This can be difficult in places like port, where the Utahs can just sit out of reach and heal. -sometimes if the fight goes on for a while without any Utah casualties the Utahs might get cocky and start to make bold moves, this is the best chance to attack them. -you can try to bait them close to you by pretending to be a noob, give them a false sense of security -try to knock off the players that know what they’re doing first. That’s everything that comes to mind, any other tips?
@@arnmazing3156 its better than having to exploit the left side of your body to protect yourself from dilos that can phase through your asshole and escape.

Watching the utahs run in to each other makes me super annoyed xD I saw that some of them were skilled while others were trying, but clearly didn't know as much. The green crested Utah got bit a couple times by its pack mates.
All you got to do as rex is press z turn left and look back and bite and it will kill anything withing your tail range making it nearly unable to ass ride or to get literally any hits on u, sticky u have to look back nearly all the way to get a further range and if you also look up and put ur head down it will extend your hit range
I'm female 99.9% of the time, other than this time, or a few times "accidentally", i don't remember going male ever lol. I don't like crests, and nests can be used as beacons when traveling far from favorite spot

I'm trying to become a professional giga player but there arent many guides or tips online for it. I subscribed to maybe learn from you even though it's mostly utah stuff. I really enjoy your content!
Cant say much here buuut, Same as rex, use that left side of the hitbox, dont Z turn normal walk is faster also makes the hitbox bigger (imo) i mean u can z walk but eh. Dont tank,Gigas has great bleed so best to bleed stuff out They regen stam while walking Giga is easier to ass ride than rex i believe so make sure you keep an eye on your ass like i said they turn fast without Z walk so unless there's a HUGE pack you should be able to keep them off Also you are super slow for an apex but decent stam (like i said it regens so you dont have to sit)
@@example6978 bro I don't know either lol. A pro is someone who gets paid in competition for their skill, and I don't see any global isle tourneys haha
As a rex main (I know, I know. Ew. I hunt other apexes mainly to try and clean up the server), I get so disheartened seeing rexes who can’t fight smaller things. You have a huge margin of error while theirs is zero. Not to mention the size of your hitbox is ridiculous. I went Utah yesterday just to troll on an alt enabled server. I quickly found a rex and began to nibble. But even while the rex was alting, I landed 5-6 bites before he started running away 4-calling and whining in global. He rulebroke and got a Utah to try and defend him so I took the Utah out and began to pursue him again, it wasn’t until he rulebroke AGAIN and joined a pack of gigas, rexes, and allos that I had to stop. Ffs, if you can’t even fight a single Utah as rex on an alt enabled server you have absolutely no business being an apex. Go play an herbi or train in deathmatches or something.
Truth. Oftentimes people pick Apexes because of low amount of skill required to play it. When faced with skilled opponents tho, they obviously lose, and then blame the "broken" game or updates or hitboxes or whatever else. Blame anything except their lack of skill
I love sticky, he's a good peanut :3 I'm a rex main and i love killing solo camas but Alot of people say i'm shit because they say "The fight takes to long, you're a bad rex player, just quit" and Sticky's courage helps me keep going at being a rex maining even if players keep saying that i suck

“Playing” Utah requires little skill that’s true. Fighting as a Utah is a different story because you need to constantly be on edge but in all honesty it’s still not as difficult as most larger dinos, and on no alt turn fighting as a Utah is what u would call, easy but a very skilled rex can bite side to side and make it very hard to dodge
Ive watched this video likw 5 times now and. I still get salty when the utahs tell him that hes scared after he has killed more than half of em and hes still on first screen😂if only they knew
My story: Pack of 15 Utah’s. We had a Rex in our territory and we were getting killed, 2 other rex’s came and killed the single Rex. So then they rested just outside our territory. Then another Rex came and us 3 “alpha’s” of the Utah group were watching the fight between 1 Rex vs 2 Rex’s and because that single Rex died and got salty, he reported me for Mixed Pack Hunting (and others) when actually we were just watching the fight and didn’t interfere at all 😂 Rex’s get toooo salty
As much as I wish more people played other big and medium predators more (or rather, I wish Sucho, Carno, Giga, etc. didn't suck or had more incentive to be played if they are just ok to play even), I was rooting for the Rex the whole time because the title of this video is fact.
This makes me want to buy the game, but I'm not really a "good player." I'm one of those casual gamers, while my friend is all about serious skill (or "skillz" as he says) xD
This game is fun no matter if you are good at combat or not. Its fun just to choose a smaller Dino and try to survive with your buds and not get eating by all the bigger dinos lmao
The truth is that most people are medium or low skilled. So you dont have to be a gaming - god to survive. I would still not recommend this game regarding price/merit. It is still a beta version
Saw a post on reddit with the same name as the video awhile ago and when I said it was made by a salty apex main, it got downvoted to oblivion. If anything its rexes that require no skill. They pretty much 1-2 shot most dinos, not to mention broken hitbox and leg break.
Awesome video! Really shows that a lot of it is knowing hitboxes and using it to your advantage. I bought the Isle like two weeks ago so your videos are soooo useful! And I love Utah's, they're so cute and fast, and it's really exciting to see their potential once you know how to play them. Anyway, I actually have a little request and I know It's not as exciting as beating up the big guys xD But maybe do a little guide on how to survive as a Utah Juvi. I know the basics. Hide, don't make too much sound, get to water quickly, blablabla. But I still get killed so many times because asshole players either sit on the water sources or I've been chased by a dilo or even other Utah's. Sometimes hiding just doesn't work Dx
@Jaggy The First It can be difficult because you're so delicate and slow compared to almost anything, but hiding and being stealthy and only coming out when absolutely necessary is usually the way that I do it if I'm solo and not in a pack. Being small, as much of a weakness as it can be, is also a huge strength, because you can hide in almost anything, including plants that others would be too large for. I've utilized the tallish patches of grass many many times and not once have I been seen. I even asked a packmate one time about it and he confirmed that unless he was looking straight down at me, I was practically invisible. So, while hiding indeed doesn't always work, juvie utahs are really tiny and very good at not being seen if you pick the proper hiding places. And about everyone attacking you, unfortunately that's just how people are. It's like how you're targeted by anything and everything as a small apex. People hate your species and just want to cull you before you get big enough to be dangerous. Other utahs can also be really horrible and want to destroy future competition, or just pick on the weak targets that can't fight back. I've been pursued by almost everything as a juvie utah, even though we give barely any food. One time a galli decided that it was going to troll and kill me and since I was too slow to run away, the only reason why I survived was because a very kind dilo took pity on me. Later I was killed by another pack of not so friendly dilos lol.
@@StickyUtah Awesome! I'll be looking forward to that one! You always bring up things that I don't know and it's always good to learn, especially in games like this one.
@@emilymelvin5771 lol, I feel you on this. And it's true hiding is pretty easy - to some extend. But you cant really hide forever and that's where I struggle. Dx
Hi Sticky, great tips, I just lost a rex against a pack of 6 Dilos, I did manage to kill 4 but they kept adding back to group and reinforcing. Do you have any tips on dealing with Dilos? They seem worse than Utahs imho.
Does anyone know a trick around the turning radius for an adult rex I'm tired of utahs aiming for my butt and then by the time I turn around to bite them they ran away
If you haven't watched some of Sticky's other utah vs rex videos then I would go check those out, he mentions some very helpful tidbits of information. He also explains in one or two of them that the hitbox on the left side is borked and rexes can bite about to the middle of their tail on that side, while on the right it's far smaller. Hence why he was focusing on turning left this whole fight rather than to the right, unless he absolutely had to to counter them or to try and bait them into making mistakes if they didn't turn/run away in time. Hope this helped!
Sticky there’s a Rex ride trick only Utah’s can do on the left leg so that’s y they aren’t getting bit sometimes it’s the hit box weakness if they stay parallel to ur tail then they cannot b hit and if their head is under ur arm they shouldn’t attack or they will die and if their foot is ALLLLL the way infront of urs then u can hit them I think
You realise you've played the isle for a while when you begin recognizing some of the random people talking in global (I've played with many a group and learned a lot of names)
the one thing i hate as a rex is when im along and a bunch of utahs tail ride me or dilos at night, but i never rage when i die since i dont mind growing i find it quiet fun
I find this very entertaining. Hunting in utah packs is very fun if you have the right people. These people seemed pretty good, compared to your average port fighters haha. If you get into a pack with a really well developed hit and run circle you can get the job done. They seemed to have thought this out pretty well because they weren’t charging at the same time and hitting each other (which happens a lot in uncoordinated packs. I died in a fight with an allo because my utah friend bit me and gave me bleed.)

Sticky, Please Pleeease make a video on how to kill a carno 1v1 with alt turn, I keep getting hit from behind it and I keep forgetting to jump, and I do know about the left hitbox, the anxiety gets to me and I can't think straight ;-;
OhHeckItsGrey :D I’d still like a video too but with alt turn enabled you basically gotta wait til it’s moving to go in for the bites, otherwise it can turn on a dime. Either get your ambush and chase it down (remember to watch for brake checks) or dodge it and then snag a bite while it’s turning back around to go at you again. You can probably also try and get a tail hit in if you jump over it but that’s really hard to do. Just watch for them to make a mistake and keep dodging, they’re speedy but they have momentum which doesn’t let them turn or stop instantly.

Thank you kind sir
Really fun to watch! I love playing a spino and bumping into a greedy pack of utahs that think they can tail ride a spino. Patience is key in moments like this, I always try to bait them in and make them come to me, leaves no room for error on their part instead of mine. 😀
precisely. Let them come to you, then chomp anyone who makes a mistake :)
6:14 : i'm gonna make a nest, LOL you are a Male Rex Sticky XD
Yep I sure am.....sigh :D
Tips for fighting Utahs (what I’ve found):
-don’t let the Utahs bait you
-don’t constantly run around. Utahs will try to waste your stamina
-stay in an open space if you can help it. The best spot for a Utah to fight is in dense forest or anywhere they can duck and weave around obstacles (like port, for example)
-if possible, try not to let the Utahs surround you, that is one of their more deadly tactics
-do not let them tail ride you.
-break check them often, but not in a pattern. Try to be as random as you can.
-z walk is your friend
-the Utahs will try to bleed you out. Try to end the fight as fast as possible.
-you can always put your back to a wall/source of water to prevent being surrounded
-I don’t recommend taking on a Utah pack head on. Unless you have insane skills, like sticky.
-make sure you know the rules of the server before initiating any fights (this goes for all pvp)
-try not to let the utahs sit and heal bleed, if they stay alive for to long then they will just bleed you out. This can be difficult in places like port, where the Utahs can just sit out of reach and heal.
-sometimes if the fight goes on for a while without any Utah casualties the Utahs might get cocky and start to make bold moves, this is the best chance to attack them.
-you can try to bait them close to you by pretending to be a noob, give them a false sense of security
-try to knock off the players that know what they’re doing first.
That’s everything that comes to mind, any other tips?
OMG YOUR THE REX THAT IS GETTING NYEK?!
I wanted to help you but I'm not sure if I'm allowed to go in and help heh.
TeeHee
gonna be great when they implement dino collision
probably won't since it would cause alot of issues in combat.. Combat would be run at someone, get stuck on them and whoever bites more really
can't wait
Lmao that shit was in when I was playing and it was terrible.
@@arnmazing3156 its better than having to exploit the left side of your body to protect yourself from dilos that can phase through your asshole and escape.
Game used to have collision. I just have vivid memories of getting stuck inside shants and then having to watch as they stomped me to death and not being able to do anything
Watching the utahs run in to each other makes me super annoyed xD I saw that some of them were skilled while others were trying, but clearly didn't know as much. The green crested Utah got bit a couple times by its pack mates.
Alternative title: "trying to kill a t rex for 1 hour but does not work"
All you got to do as rex is press z turn left and look back and bite and it will kill anything withing your tail range making it nearly unable to ass ride or to get literally any hits on u, sticky u have to look back nearly all the way to get a further range and if you also look up and put ur head down it will extend your hit range
Playing Utah does require no skill, and so many are cannibals and rule breaks, to be fair a lot of rexes are too
why'd it take sticky so long to realize he's a male
Because he plays as a female dino like 90% of the time and was used to it 😂
Alicia online
I'm female 99.9% of the time, other than this time, or a few times "accidentally", i don't remember going male ever lol. I don't like crests, and nests can be used as beacons when traveling far from favorite spot
sup badoink XD
Omg when you forgot you were male and tried to nest I laughed. I’ve done that, too. Lol
xD
I'm sad i didn't get to see everyone reacting to hearing the rex won the fight
Literally took out almost an entire pack
Yeppers, like 15 Utahs :D
Hey Sticky, ever tried taking on a camara as utah? It can be done and is actually quite easy! I'd like to see how you fight one. Just a video idea! Good luck and happy hunting to everyone! 💛
Thats a big health pool for a utah to drain
Cama:*sprints
Utah body: *YEET*
Ye it's pretty simple, just takes a long time, and need a pack for it
Sticky: eats
Utahs: we don't do that here
I’ve been training for 3-6 hours for the past 3 days with my pack, and I’m still inexperienced. Properly fighting as a utah takes a lot of practice.
I'm trying to become a professional giga player but there arent many guides or tips online for it. I subscribed to maybe learn from you even though it's mostly utah stuff.
I really enjoy your content!
I would like to see giga too
Cant say much here buuut,
Same as rex, use that left side of the hitbox, dont Z turn normal walk is faster also makes the hitbox bigger (imo) i mean u can z walk but eh.
Dont tank,Gigas has great bleed so best to bleed stuff out
They regen stam while walking
Giga is easier to ass ride than rex i believe so make sure you keep an eye on your ass like i said they turn fast without Z walk so unless there's a HUGE pack you should be able to keep them off
Also you are super slow for an apex but decent stam (like i said it regens so you dont have to sit)
You probably also know this but as apex if a Utah tries to jump over u just flink your cam up and bite (catches em out of the air)
What do you mean a professional lol
@@example6978 bro I don't know either lol. A pro is someone who gets paid in competition for their skill, and I don't see any global isle tourneys haha
Lol! I love when the raptor asked another raptor if he is sticky and can he help them, WHEN THE T-REX THEY'RE FIGHTING IS STICKY ! Plot twist! haha!
number of rule breaks is so sad
yes :(
Sticky watching has helped me improve my Utah fighting thanks alot man
"I'm just gona make a nest here" STICKY YOU'RE MALE!!!!!!
it take 100+(excluding bleeding) bite to kill a adult rex as a utah, let that sink in.
188 flat bites I believe, and approx 150 bites if with bleed during biting, but just bites and then let it bleed = 30 bites
@@StickyUtah gostei du seu canal
"clean up the server" fucking hypocrite
what rule did he break? he called for help? i mean why couldnt he
Truth. Oftentimes people pick Apexes because of low amount of skill required to play it. When faced with skilled opponents tho, they obviously lose, and then blame the "broken" game or updates or hitboxes or whatever else. Blame anything except their lack of skill
@@XTX767RT lol I always does the same
I love sticky, he's a good peanut :3 I'm a rex main and i love killing solo camas but Alot of people say i'm shit because they say "The fight takes to long, you're a bad rex player, just quit" and Sticky's courage helps me keep going at being a rex maining even if players keep saying that i suck
They're only saying that because they're jealous. This game is all about patience and strategy. They need to learn how to play this game...
@@NelehLove9313 thank you, it just hurts alot tbh, like there was a tournament and everybody kept calling me names then say said at the end "I can kick you're ass rq" i then let the cama kill me bc i gave up afterwards. But yee Sticky gives me courage to keep being a rex main
Those people tend to do bad in the isle. No patients at all...
Primal 5 Ya don't need much a brain to play Rex. Just saying.
@@5H11N4 you do actually.
Hahah they got the spook of a life time. It’s kinda funny that they just ran up to you and got right into that hit box zone.
Not many know exactly where the hitbox is, one pixel inside - dead

I didn't know Stickys voice could be that way lol
Omg was it you that kept calling yesterday? XD
maybe :)
22:06 sneaky sneaky Lmao
;)
I love how his name is sticky Utah but he loves killing utars lol
I see the idea of an accurate hitbox is a foreign concept to this game xD
I fear the day I run into this guy in the isle
“Playing” Utah requires little skill that’s true.
Fighting as a Utah is a different story because you need to constantly be on edge but in all honesty it’s still not as difficult as most larger dinos, and on no alt turn fighting as a Utah is what u would call, easy but a very skilled rex can bite side to side and make it very hard to dodge
Ive watched this video likw 5 times now and. I still get salty when the utahs tell him that hes scared after he has killed more than half of em and hes still on first screen😂if only they knew
My story:
Pack of 15 Utah’s.
Should’ve just slayed the rule breakers really, it would’ve been so satisfying
I know this happened a long time ago but the fact that one of the admins was part of that utah group and didn't say anything was pretty annoying
@@isatatokuthere will always be corruption among any sort of govern, be it the admins of a server, or ruler of a country.
Hey sticky, I was spoon (Hroovitnir)
Thx for the meal 👍
Meals* XD
Looks like you owe him some nice Utah meals lol
You're welcome
This makes me want to buy the game, but I'm not really a "good player." I'm one of those casual gamers, while my friend is all about serious skill (or "skillz" as he says) xD
This game is fun no matter if you are good at combat or not. Its fun just to choose a smaller Dino and try to survive with your buds and not get eating by all the bigger dinos lmao
The truth is that most people are medium or low skilled. So you dont have to be a gaming - god to survive. I would still not recommend this game regarding price/merit. It is still a beta version
Death match servers to the rescue!
Saw a post on reddit with the same name as the video awhile ago and when I said it was made by a salty apex main, it got downvoted to oblivion. If anything its rexes that require no skill. They pretty much 1-2 shot most dinos, not to mention broken hitbox and leg break.
33:10 Hroovitnir: oof!
That was my same reaction! xD
Join a group or try get nested in..or hide better lol
I actually love that suggestion, And wrote it down (about making a Juvie survival Guide)
Will make it when I got time
@@StickyUtah Awesome!
Dx
This battle was so slow that someone could be a adult dryo by now
“Come on nest” ... when you don’t realize your Dino is a male lol.... love you sticky!!!! 😂❤️ so weird seeing you play apex tbh, but kinda love it lol
Haha yeppers Thanks
Good fight and dexterity. :)
Thanks
Just watch what I do ;)
Bro the head title🤣🤣🤣🤣
And again i smoke stickys while i watch you🙈🙈 one of the best fighter ive seen on yt. Gg 😗
xD
That's cool, didn't know you could bite the Rex's tail when it eats. Nice going Sticky, thanks for the video!
Haha why was this recommended?..... and why did I watch the entire thing and enjoy it lol
Tomislav Marić the isle is a fun game 😜
'Playing Utah Requires no Skill.'
Bruh, We get one shotted by literally everything.
O AND if ur trying to get a Utah off ur butt ur gonna wanna stay standing not crouched so ur hit box is bigger
Jesus. With The length of this fight, i dont think some of the dudes need a grow for another utah xd
Sticky at twins: ultimate epic battle simulator

Thank you so much
Love watching these and I play all the time. I always manage to die before I reach adult in anything so I'm done playing for a while.
Sticky can you face them as a para? Not a solo like a herd of 5 or more vs a mega pack of utah
I'd need a herd of Good paras for that, but Yeah, I think so
Enjoyed every momment
Ok so the water rule thing. You can't go looking for a fight then go to the water and expect them not to go in the water.
I think they should work on the Tyrannosaurus rex walk it looks like he’s trying to sneak in stock pray all the time
How do you train as a utah? What do you recommend to get better
Matthew just watch his other videos :) there are plenty of great tips :D
Otherwise join the Hunting Grounds discord server!!
Deathmatch servers. Just fight things non-stop, try to learn the correct mechanics, the hitboxes will become second nature to you. Just a TON of hours in Deathmatch servers. I had 700 hours in DM servers before I even started RUclips.
The only thing that doesn't need skill is uhh... Pue? Taco? Umm maybe a fresh hatchling Utah?

Really hoping they fix the hitbox of these Dinos cuz damn, those bites were no where near the utah's.

I lost count at 8. I think most respawned and regrew enough to attack him repeatedly. Lmao
If not keep adding people to the assault
I think like 15? Not sure haha
Sticky, Please Pleeease make a video on how to kill a carno 1v1 with alt turn, I keep getting hit from behind it and I keep forgetting to jump, and I do know about the left hitbox, the anxiety gets to me and I can't think straight ;-;
OhHeckItsGrey :D
I’d still like a video too but with alt turn enabled you basically gotta wait til it’s moving to go in for the bites, otherwise it can turn on a dime.
Well, don't forget to jump!
But I will make a carno guide at some point :)
Sticky rex!!!!!
Yep haha :D
It takes a lot of skill but you got to admit a utahraptor killing a Tyrannosaurus by itself is a bit unrealistic
this is AMAZING holy holy holy fuck im so shocked real talk! im new to this game ive had it for 4 days now and im LOVIN it! its so kool to see someone this good! that was an amazing fight!!
