I remember back in 2017 when there was a massive billion-dollar Powerball jackpot. I decided to buy a ticket, and later that same day, I made the long drive from Los Angeles to Pacific Coast Hobbies. I didn’t have much money, but I wanted to look around and daydream about buying something. After leaving the shop, I stopped at the gas station across the street to fill up for the drive home. While I was there, I decided to check my lottery ticket-and to my shock, I had won $400! I couldn’t believe it. I immediately went back to Pacific Coast Hobbies and bought a Losi 8ight Mini. It’s still such a great memory.
I'm fortunate to live near Pacific Coast Hobbies. They are my go-to RC hobby store. The owners are super nice and very helpful. They employ a very knowledgeable staff. I highly recommend this hobby store for all your RC needs. Great video RC Girl!
Quite a few of them closed in Los Angeles South Bay. But thank God for that. Without them, we wouldn't have a lot of good stuff. They are friendly very quick to help you out. And they treat you like family. They are awesome. One million comes up to that shop.👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
This video was right on time. For Christmas we are all meeting up at our daughter’s place in Santa Monica. I’m going to try and visit this place. Thank you RC Girl.
reminds me of the old school Hobby People from back in the day.. walking into the hobby shops back when i was a teen was like walking into a dream of pure happiness 😅
I love Pacific Coast Hobbies! It’s m my all time favorite hobby shop🎉 Awesome staff, amazing selection and great prices! Can wait to do my Christmas shopping there!
Places like these are time capsules. I used to walk into hobby stores like these as a kid wishing my parents would buy me an RC but they couldn’t afford it. Keep showcasing these types of shops
Local who lives 5 min away from PChobbies. It’s my go to place when I need another rig! Best part is they honor same manufacturer pricing so pch is my usual go to shop. Plus I save on shipping not ordering online. lol. Great video rc girl!
this hobby store is packed full of goodness! its pretty much only store in LA....the owner forgot to mention he used to race at a legendary track in gardena, ca called ASCOT in the 80s....thats where i first started R/c cars......it closed in early 90s
Just got my first RC car at 72, Ascent Fusion and I just love it. Seen a few of your videos and they are really great. I enjoy your enthusiasm and smiles. Thanks for all the information about the hobby. Wonderful tours of shops but I wish we had one in our town. I guess I can enjoy them through your videos for now. Subscribed!
I bought an elusive Hobie Hawk glider that was hanging from the ceiling. Although Pacific Coast Hobbies has mail order also, I am from the old era when the local hobby shop was where you got your supplies and tools and glue and the latest airplane car etc. I like just strolling through. It is important to me that a hobby shop is knowledgable about the products.
Your page happened to come up in my feed. Since the header said "Lomita, CA" i was interested. I'm from the South Bay. Then i saw the C-10 Chevy Crawler, i was hooked on your video! I never knew PCHobbies existed, i mean i drove past the shop for years. I have an addictive personality and seeing all the cars, trucks, planes and boats got me super hyped BUT, i cannot afford another expensive hoppy. I already have expensive hobbies and my house is starting to look like a Hoarder House ‼️ Thanks for the super cool video and your MOD hairdo is cool too. 😊
I have gone into this hobby shop a couple times looking for obscure things like old stick and tissue model and although they didn’t have any in stock, they were willing to find them for me. Excellent customer service and they go out of their way to help you and your hobby needs!I will go out of my way to buy simple things like CA glue instead of buying it online. Fantastic hobby shop!
This is awesome I always pass by there while at work and always wondered how it was inside Thanks for the video now I know what's available and can go inside with excitement
I worked at Hobby People in riverside as head airplane guy specializing in nitro airplanes. I now purchase Phoinix Models warbirds and sell them on craigslist. I test the engines and tune them and set them up before installation. I assemble the ARFs, set them up with the servos and balance them for flight before I put them for sale. Most of my warbirds have OS 65 engines on them. Just drop in your receiver and battery and adjust the balance a little and you are ready for maiden flight
In my opinion, Theo and Lindsay have put a fantastic team together. There aren't many shops cleaner and more organized than @PacificCoastHobbies that I've been in, and I've been in hundreds across the nation. I love the family feel whenever I visit their store.
The FPV on a truck is awesome! I'd love to try that out. Great video. It was nice meeting you at Mt. Baldy. It was a fun day. I'll never forget how much fun Armondo (the 9 year old) had with my TRX4 Sport. He tore it up! LOL. Be safe!
Nice to see some Tamiya RCs on display. Weird I spent allot of time working in socal and never did this hobby shop hit my search radar. But it's close to my daughter's place so I'm planning on going next trip down there.
Woah RcGirl! Thank you sooo much for this video! And the series! I’ve never had the opportunity to visit any reasonable hobby shop in the corner of the planet I live in but your video was very immersive!! I’m more into boats and planes love your content!!
I've bought from them twice on Ebay, A Mojave Grom and a Vanquish H10 Optic. They are fast shipping and extremely helpful in the way in which I asked if they had Grom Mojave parts In Stock and they included it with my order. Great shipping time since they are in state.
This is a great place for the Rc life and I also live near by I was happy to hear the good news(insider) lol but I can’t wait to come back this weekend
I went to the store yesterday because of this video... I spoke with Anthony at length... and walked out with a Aarma grom buggy! so many advancements compared to Traxxas
Next up, Apollo 11 Airfield for RC flying. We have a main runway for turbines and gassers, park fly area for smaller planes, helicopter field, and drone arena field. Weekends are the best time to catch everything in action
I used to race with Kinwald... a gas R/C was never "faster" than an electric. Especially off the track bc i could use a 7 cell on a 13 turn will smoke any gas... but the battery dies in 3 mins. Only thing about gas was that you could refill them and run a longer race. And on the track my times with electric, were faster than the gas racers.
I’m always going to have Nitro’s. Love the sound & smell:) Still have my 1st gen’s Tmaxx Pro 15, 2.5, & 3.3. Also the Savage 25, Savage X 4.6 and still all original Losi LST & LST 2💪🏻
Wow looks really cool definitely some cool rcs and like the blazer wow nice on raising 👏 👍 money for the cause that's so cool and the video shots u got were pretty cool 😎 that water 💧 shot was crazy cool 😎...that one of a kind back to the future car is cool..fpv wow cool 😎...looks like a very nice hobby shop and people..
I live in Oakdale, Ca. & wish a hobby shop like this, existed near me....I just have CenCal Hobbies in Modesto & it's not even as big as this one, your showing...lol
If you go to the Tamiya headquarters in Japan go during an open house so you can see nearly all of the building. If not you will be limited to the ground floor museum.
I'm visiting from the Bay area, I purchased a iromquad zoomie starter kit and some other rc items, shop is in Lomita CA near Redondo Beach , Torrance So Cal, ❤
I like this shop, but I grew up with the Rancho Pit Shop in Montclair. Now im more of a frequent shopper at Pegasus which is still in Montclair. It's funny. I still have my original Blackfoot from 1985. My dad got it when I was just a kid.
I bought my first traxxas and last one this year got the raptor r . Every time I run it something brakes . I think I pay like $650 with battery and charger cooling fans was a must cuz it kept overheating. I’m probably like at $1000 with upgrades and parts that keep braking I’m done
Can you do a spot on Martys hobby shop in Thousand Oaks, i haven't been there but i see they have an indoor crawl and drone course. Thanks for info on Pacific Coast hobby store. Im going to plan a stop there next time i go to Corona del Mar to Crawl.

I love nitro I got into rc with nitro cars and still love um. It can be challenging but once you learn how the engine works it's so worth it.
Agree 😊
I used to do nitro but for years now I like the 2 stroke gassers, so much easier to keep tuned…
