Personally this has to be one of my favorite scores I’ve seen yet, some claim that part wasn’t credited but regardless, I still enjoy what you did and all the melody and especially putting most of the pit in there. Thank you for your time putting this together!
@@justinjohnson4278 I did the crescendo on a separate staff on multiple short notes rather than one long note, and then hid this staff, and mute the one long note on the staff that is visible.
@@davidwang_music can you do a tutorial on how to make suspended cymbal rolls? I've been trying to add them on my own scores but it's not working for me.
@@isaacvasquez3915 Add a separate cymbal staff, then in the mixer, change the sound to "standard". Then, notate your cymbal rolls on your original staff normally, then select these notes, and uncheck "play" in the inspector, this will mute your normal notation. In the separate staff, notate cymbal rolls with individual notes instead of tremolo, after you done that, go into instruments, and uncheck "visible" for that staff, this will hide the separate staff. So basically your normal notation is what you see, but the separate staff will be what you hear.
Most accurate score of the 2017 blue devils yet. Good job Necrodavid. I noticed that listening to the snare cam and this, it doesn't have the hand clap during the flugelhorn solo.
At the beginning of the measure where the fugelhorn is, the drum set player snaps the cymbal with his fingers and it makes the best noise. Just to let you know you forgot that part Edit: oh darn im blushing
@@SaneTheBro no I think I accidentally hit the mic with my stick earlier in the show and the whole time after that I was looking for a pause long enough to put it back on.
Awesome job on everything melodic! But as Brian mentioned earlier it seems like the guy you got the battery parts from directly ripped it off of our score, which we got help from various sources (credited). Like the opening snare feature had 4 parts but we decided to condense it to just 3, which is oddly mirrored here too..
I am not the one who transcribed the battery, legoj14 transcribed the battery and let me use it, I am not sure where did he get it from so that might be the case.
@@officialnovadrome I know it's kinda late, but after listening to the show again, I do finally realize that I was mishearing the sample and it does actually say Concord, not concept. I stand corrected, my bad
NecroDavid Thanks for responding! I looked into it, and as it turns out MuseScore recently changed so that printing and downloading is only available to “pro subscription members” in order to account for royalty and copyright fees. Strange!
press a to start 10:10
Literally sounds like a great video game lmfao
What song is that called?
Mello part is why i came here
Great job! My only complaint is the tenor solo was kind of funky, but that was probably a glitch or something. Otherwise good work!
It was a problem in musescore 2.0 and 2.1 and I think 2.2 but it's fixed now in 2.3
lol the worst tenor solo of all time
Goofy Gooferson I’m dying lol
FN_BigDadWill69
Just like the tenor player
Oh yeah I remember that it was the worst, like the notes played 1 higher than they were supposed to and some just straight up didn't make sound
Personally this has to be one of my favorite scores I’ve seen yet, some claim that part wasn’t credited but regardless, I still enjoy what you did and all the melody and especially putting most of the pit in there. Thank you for your time putting this together!
4:52 is my favorite solo
6:09 also
I hate cymbal rolls on muse score
True, the crescendos doesn't work at all and they are still not fixed in Musescore 3
@@davidwang_music yeah like you have to put the individual dynamics all along it but if you're crescendoing a single whole note just forget it

Trombone Zach he can’t do that on MuseScore I don’t think
He can but I think its in the "Body" instrument section
Amazing! especially the pit parts, Perfectly transcribed
pit parts were off a lot
And the snare transcription was a little rough especially the snare break after the mallets solo
2:00 euphonium chord sounds like baseball
@ Nexus no the chord not the instrument

Edit: oh darn im blushing
well he was fixing the mic that fell off one of his toms so thats why he snapped it. He said this in a reply to a comment on the head cam vid
ian_ actually, if you watch the drum major cam (cc wagoner) he snaps the cymbal without having to fix the microphone. He does it for fun
Ah the broken quads in the old version, your
Drum set parts sound spot on btw, amazing job!
love the quote at 6:12 it is required if you want to learn this part
what does it say; I'm watching this on a little iPhone 💀
@@muytreschic2835 “oh, hmmm. Yes quite!” It’s a quote from the headcam videos. You can find it, it’s literally the first one

I like how you put fix the microphone on the kit score.
did u notice the "lyrics" on the tenors
😂😂😂😂 that’s funny

Ahh, the mellophone solo is finally given justice
This is prolly the best transcription even tho it's not completely accurate it's still great
rip the tenor break :,(
Personally I dont like how loud the percussion is because it makes it a bit harder to hear some nice hornline stuff but a really good score all round
9:50👌👌
3:20 oof tenor feature be gone 101
That quad feature tho
10:11 sounds like it came from the donkey Kong game
Sounds like cuphead
When the vibraphone turns into wind chimes and a drum set

11:45 Concord Blue Devils
*Concord Blue Devils :)
@@officialnovadrome I know, the actual show says "concept: blue devils" before the big ending.

I started playing a long on my mello at 6:34 and I felt as if I was truley there it felt so fun.

tf happened to the tenor solo
it was cool but why did the battery disappear at the end 😂
he forgot to fix the tenors snd the snare feature is the old version
damn dude nice job
Where's the battery at the end?
How do you put MuseScore into video form?
There is this function on MuseScore website

Good vid but wtf happened to the tenor break??
How did you nail the synthesizer gliss so well? I can't seem to get them to work that well
Use multiple pitch bends instead of an actual gliss

So where's drums 1 2 3 and the Spocks on the tenors ?😂😂

Look up the video of them playing it in the lot. There’s a comment linking to the original video. It’s some Jewish kid’s tune
I recommend using MDL for battery
The score was made before MDL was discovered. Since the 2018 transcription, every battery part is now MDL.
NecroDavid ooh ok.
HS Drum Major Audition 4:17 to 7:32 (note for myself)
We just not gonna talk about 1:36
