- I wasnt expecting too much from an 8 yr old girl, but this just blew me away! Angelina Jordan is outstanding in her performance of a true classic song. There are simply no words to describe what i witnessed. This performance won her Norways Got Talent 2014 and i'm not suprised at all when you can sing like this age.

Backstage, after she won Norway's got talent, and she was being hugged, and kissed by everyone, you could see the look of pride, and happiness for her daughter on her mom's face. It was a beautiful moment. I bet that she never imagined even in her wildest dreams that her talented little Angelina would become the singing sensation she is today with thousands of adoring fans worldwide. She is destined to be a MEGA SUPER STAR, with millions of fans. She will go down in music history as the best jazz singer in history, and quite possibly even the best female vocalist on the planet alive today. What a incredible voice, and such a down to earth, humble person.
Don't know how true it is or not but I read somewhere that her mom said she was tearing up because she figured at that moment that she had lost Angelina to the world. Well, she has not lost her but let's just say she has to share her with the world. I cannot believe that I had never heard of her until she was on AGT. I don't usually watch it but glad that I did this time. Also heard she did not come in the top five at the end? What a sad commentary on what passes for talent these days. The dregs of RAP get hundreds of millions of views while Angelina has so many fewer. I wonder what her real breakout will be when she will be very well known throughout the world as one of the greatest singers of our time.

I was actually watching "Norway's Got Talent' just to see what would come up, when I saw this kid singing Summertime, and thought of the 1920s. I figured she was a 'one trick pony', but then she exploded into what she really is, a Mozart. She conducts her band, arranges her music, and runs the rehearsals, until they're what SHE wants. I've even heard her in discussion with the orchestra conductor about her entrance and what the orchestra would be doing. She knows music, plays multiple instruments, writes books, has her on art shop, where she sells her merchandise, and even has written a song in her THIRD language, English, which is amazing. It took her forever to learn to say cotton, and make it sound like Southern USA, but she mastered it. I used to wonder what Saint Louis Blues would sound like, if she sang it, or Can't help lovin dat man, from Showboat. In the same moment, I wonder what she'd do with, some of the newer stuff. There are songs from the stones, and similar, not to mention CCR and BST. It's hard to say what she'll do next.
Very different on Norway's Got Talent, but totally mesmerizing, is Jon Henrik. He does a joik for his friend who passed away. It's such a beautiful way of expressing oneself through music.

Just a small sample of Angelina, born 2006 in Norway. She has performed all over the world, and has something like a hundred songs in many genres. She has a voice that soothes the soul. I am in my late seventies, and I have not heard a voice like this in many, many years...enjoy!

Each time I hear her preform sing this beautiful Gershwin standard, tears roll down my cheeks. She effects me like no other. Love her! Close your eyes and you will imagine she is much much older, an adult for certain.

This is probably the 4th or 5th time I've watched this reaction and still love it and have a good laugh! I also have been totally taken by Angelina and have consumed, with great pleasure, all her works and just can't wait for new work. We are all lucky for this girl for she is truly a prodigy one of the best wells up therewith Celion Deion I'm so grateful for finding her and experiencing her as she becomes a world phenomenon.

You got it right, she's that good. Maybe she started out by I'm imitating her grandmother’s jazz singers on records but she emotes grown-up pain and sorrow far beyond her years. And her pitch and jazz sensibilities are dead on perfect.
One thing that I always loved about this performance (aside from her insane vibrato control and that soul melting note at 4:21 ), is just how effortless it is for her. Just look at her face when she finishes that last note at 4:53 . It's like it's nothing at all for her. Like singing is as easy, as natural, and (in her own words) "as important as breathing" for her.
To have that in an 8 year old.... it's as you said, "could bring a tear to your eye" at how special this girl is.
@@BlackWolfSpirit She is really a master with the vibrato. She uses it so wisely too. It's always different in different performances. Like in her 2016 Summertime (kork), she tones back the vibrato a lot (and slows the tempo slightly), and it gives it a whole different feel. I'm not sure which version I like more.

Angelina is a jazz lover. In the audition she sang "Gloomy Sunday" the Billy Holiday song. She also songs Sinatra, Winehouse, Fitzgerald, and many more. Many feel she could become one of the great jazz singers as she gets older. One very touching song she does is "You Are Always On My Mind" which she dedicates to her Grandad who rece tly passed away. At the end it gets to her and she cries, as I did for her. This is a unique voice and a very sweet child.

I've spent the last couple of days looking at reactions to Angelina singing because i was so stunned
by her singing i needed to be reassured that i was hearing what i
believe i was hearing.
I was as stunned as you. Your reaction was as amazing as her performance. I don't blame you for having to get up and take a minute before sitting back down. When you get moments like that, it's captivating, mesmerizing, haunting and extremely affecting, emotionally and spiritually. To be able to do that at eight years old, is an exceptional gift. I want to hear more now.
She is very close to her grandma. Her grandma is an Artist as well. I bet her grandmother has a huge influence. I bet her grandma listens to the oldies when she paints. And consequently Angelina is accustomed to these type of tunes:) Of course as we all know Angelina can sing anything great!

OMG I love watching reactions to Angelina, seeing the shock and awe at her amazing voice. Sir You just had the Angelina Experience. When I first Heard her I was floored. I was like how the heck does the very definition of sultry come from a 7 year old girl, she began the competition at 7 turned 8 during the season. She is absolutely AMAZING. I was hooked from the beginning, and as incredible as her voice was then, she is even more incredible now.

Angelina is a musical prodigy. She's now 13 years old, but won Norway's Got Talent in 2014. Her family has no musical background, and she started singing when she was just one and a half years old.
