Initiative to be taken at the social level regarding water crisis by Paramjit singh ghazi

The water crisis in Punjab is getting worse. In terms of groundwater extraction, 117 out of 150 blocks in Punjab are "over-exploited". Currently, various initiatives are being taken at the level of thought and implementation. In Punjabi University, Patiala, an organization of researchers "Research Scholar Association" has conducted a discussion on the topic "Water Crisis of Punjab" on 10/8/2022.
Harbir Kaur (Assistant Professor, Mata Gujri College, Fatehgarh Sahib) and Sukhjit Singh (Assistant Professor, Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Ludhiana) from Agriculture_and Environment Awareness Center to share ideas about the initiative to be taken at the social level regarding the situation, causes and solutions of the water crisis.
There was a discussion based on riparian principles about river waters and a factual discussion about the efforts made so far. Talking about the seriousness of the said issues, Paramjit Singh Ghazi shared the legislative, administrative, legal and social aspects of the problem.
