When it comes to matching the latest technology with world-class turntablism skills to produce next-level routines, Miami's DJ Craze is the ultimate choice.
In this video, the 5x DMC World Champion showcases the power of the new TRAKTOR SCRATCH generation by creating a live dubstep remix, controlled by his golden Technics turntables and two controllers.
KONTROL X1 is used to play a live beat using one-shot drum samples in TRAKTOR's new Sample Decks, while Craze also triggers various other samples and cue points with his custom white MASCHINE controller. A beat juggling section in the middle leads to the finale where Craze combines fast cue-point juggles and vocal samples with the integrated TRAKTOR effects.
All things combined, this latest Turntable Tricknology routine effectively highlights the vastly expanded creative potential of the new TRAKTOR generation. For more videos and detailed product information, please see: www.native-inst...

9 years later coming back to this 👍
And me
Me too
Damn just heard. Guess I live under a rock.
Dude has cheat codes...
GOD MODE
10 years, 1 month & 5 days later I still think this is one of the best routines ever! Craze will always be Number 1... dude will go down as The Hendrix of Turntables
No doubt!
Indubitably
Nailed it
Have you seen a Mix Master Mike Set live?
@@calimangrower1590 yeah mate love mix master mike and the beastie boys and i think mix master mike has such a unique style and will definitely go down as one of the greats too!
2021... im back here 10 years later.. Still f*cking LEGEND
11 years and still coming back to slap this!🙌🏾
The nostalgia hits different
13 years later coming back to this
You know what I like... The fact that you can see by the end that he's excited by his performance. That's a real artist right there, doing it for love not $.
Still one of the best routine to this day!
12 yrs later coming back to this🤣🤣
"so let me get this straight, wait, Im the rookie?"
god, the nicki verse on Monster is undoubtedly her best verse ever, and one of the best guest verses ive heard. she kills it.
Still awesome 11 years later!
2023 and still here some of the best live freestyle remixes out there alot of skill involved
Amazing skills but it would be easier to watch if the camera wasn`t changed every 0.2 second.
It's been 10 years since this was released.
Please bring these types of videos back!
Craze and Shiftee's performances on NI kit is what inspired me to get into DJing! I still use NI to this day, thank you NI!!
After 9 years I think I understand how 90% of this was done
It's been about 8 years since I saw this 🤣
it's been 6 years for me and i still don't understand anything. mind giving a breakdown?
@@RinaldoJonathan oh man, that’s a loaded question, but essentially the Maschine is used to control the sample banks, the X1 is for cue points, the DJM 909 is using a pitch bender and low pass filter on the faders (unique to that mixer), he’s using the 33/45 buttons on the turntable to change the pitch as well, and of course there’s scratching and juggling going on
@@edgarayala945 is the mixer capable of sending MIDI messages or something?
@@RinaldoJonathan no, but it has lots of on board effects
Two words: HOLY SHIT!!! I love to see DJing taken to the next level. Turntablism @it's best.
Oh don't mind me I'm just here for my yearly checkup. Yup video still checks out in 2022
Damn this guy is good O_o
Understatement of the century. This guy is the greatest turntablist of all time.
he isnt the best ever, he mayb good but his music and sounds-effect choices arent, i think
@@RocketJr. dude the fuck do you know, watch dj craze dmc 98
Amazing what he did to Kanye West's Monster. Chopping the master of the chopped sample himself. Mind blown.
***** 21 Grammys for Kanye, bringing the soul sound back, legendary beats not real enough for you. I've listed to them all, almost everyone on this list. By the way, who's #8 on this list of top producers? Kanye West, enough said.
rap.about.com/od/toppicks/ss/Top50Producers_8.htm
***** Grammys are an award for outstanding achievement in the music industry, not popularity. And the About.com top 50 Hip Hop producers is about the most solid that you'll find anywhere.
10 | Rick Rubin
09 | Timbaland
08 | Kanye West
07 | The Bomb Squad
06 | Marley Marl
05 | Large Professor
04 | RZA
03 | Dr. Dre
02 | Pete Rock
01 | DJ PREMIER
You said I need to listen to some "real producers", so let's here your REAL producers. You do know that Kanye has produced for Jay-Z, Alicia Keys, Lil Wayne, Janet Jackson, and many others. That's about as real as it gets.
***** It doesn’t matter what website you go to, Kanye West is always listed as the of the top Hip Hop producers of all-time. Enough said.

***** You said "listen to real producers", and I proved that Kanye is not only a real producer, he is one of the best, most influential producers in history. His resume speaks for itself, but indie rap guys have convinced themselves that obscure equals good music. Anyway, I'd like to hear your list of 20 "real producers" who have done more than West. On second thought, save it, it doesn't exist.
***** Mr Moods, so that's what a real producer is? Lmao.
Who keep coming back to this Masterpiece?
thanks for your commitment and dedication and for NOT
1) making hearts with your hand,
2) trying to elevate your body off the ground with your arms in the air
3) getting on top of the table banging your head pretending to be a rockstar with a mic in your hand
That's how all DJs should do instead of just playing songs they didn't even create and sometimes using the cutoff
In 1906 the Disc Jockey was born out of Stockton CA. Records were played back to back and most were not recorded by the DJ playing them. What they "should" do is up for debate. But do not think that if you are not doing anything crazy with the music that you are still not a DJ. Artists and Disc Jockeys should never be compared. Do you feel owned? Aww im sorry...
You remind me as well as all other like yourself of that "joke" by Mitch Hedberg - i know you can cook, but can you farm. Just as comics are asked if they can direct a sitcom. GTFO!
@PimPlayer69 It's for people with actual talent. The best dnb and dub shows I've ever been to were spun on vinyl. Any jerk off can stand behind a laptop and press play on a playlist.
@@RetroDoneRight True, but giving the technological revolution we're in those jerks with the laptops have access to some the most cutting edge audio manipulation in the game and if they have put in the time to use it, you can bet its better than any "Playlist" you've ever heard.
\
@PimPlayer69 Ever been to a party? Check out JFB's dnb sets.
I was a kid with a 50 dollar controller watching this. Coming back brings back all the memories 🥲
WtF ... He combines hip hop and dubsteb at the same time :P
Datsik nuff said
Just the acapellas are hip-hop the rest is trap & dubstep!
It's EDM trapstep. Using element combing dubstep.
Then.....that would be the shit ever plotted right there!
Dreadnod Anonymous Electro + Hip Hop = Trap, This is not so much trap
man that camera work in annoying..
editing is annoying, not camera work
I literally build outfits to this day in 2022 in color coordination to his turntables, vinyl and mixer color combo, the colors inspired me when this came out!
His set is is clean quality and great samples used!
it bothers me how david guetta makes more than DJs like this
Cuz guetta also produces music which made him famous first instead of being a dj that came later as you get more money on gigs
It bothers me that DJs make more money than the producers who actually make the sounds and tracks they use..
+Dror Bazer DJs are like hype men. they'll always generate more revenue
WHITE PHOENIXX Which is the thing that bothers me.
It takes zero skills to be a DJ compared to a producer.
Seriously, DJs don't do jackshit, anyone can play bunch of tracks in a row and call it a set.
Or to take a build up of one track and put a drop of another track after it.
DJs just take other people's work and put their name on it... Yet they get much more recognition and respect.. That's sad..
+Dror Bazer DJ's like David guetta,Calvin Harris , skrillex normaly only play there music that they have produced themselves .. So what you talking about ???
1:05 under the leg..
I found this video years ago and I still love watching him. :)
he's using a pioneer mixer, i don't get it
Software
+Parzæ traktor is software
Tracktor box right there don't you see
Zazaaaaaasfssswaaaaaaafssaaaaaasaaaaaxsdesdz
At that time Ni didn't had Z2 , it comes out in 2012

2023 and here again 😂 Been here first time 11y ago 😮
2024 again :D
got my first pair of decks in like 03. stantons with a pair of craze cartridges. those carts took a god damn beating for years and stood up. then were broken by a dumb ass hole trying teach a stripper how to spin. only problem is he had never used turntables in his life. shoulda seen the shit storm when i walked into the room and realized the styli (styluses?) were basically noodles. any game he attempted to spit at that stripper was voided when i treated him like an unwanted child.
DJ BURN!
This guy got some skills ??
+Entiter not watch, listen. every matching sound is put in perfectly
Nah i dont think i does andre maybe u should we watch the first minute (i dj myself i know how this stuff works and also produce songs)
10 years later i still come back to show people this video
its real Epic from 0:00 to 0:36 .. after that Epic mix are just unnessary crap ...
But you beast man
1:40 you have to admit is epic though
Spanners TF oh yah, that's the shit too ... awesome
Wha? Your so used to your EDM stuff. This is SKILLS!
good thing epic isnt a characteristic that is judged, or given a shit about by anyone.
You're weak.
One more time hatters. So much talk and couldn't scratch your own back.
Yeah craze is sick I bet no one in this thread can do that shit....
13 years later this is still impressive
awfull video ! only one camera would be enough ...
After 40 seconds the whole rhythm is gone. Annoying.
Body tricks are merely the hallmark of a season dmc champion.
The support of Native Instruments is fucking ridiculous. The softwares have so many issues. So many lost time to load that shit on mac or windows whatever. They will give you anser sometimes in 1 month and you have bought something for over 1000 Dollars and its just standing there and you can not use it. Native instruments will go down its not the future thats sure. Download problems, Serialnumber problems, Plug-In Problems, sensitive or not problems, just problems with native. Just ridiculous producers.
CaesarRIO i remember when people actually used to DJ with vinyl i miss those days.
Hey hey hey, what's going wrong my brother maybe I can help? I'll be happy to help. I'm pretty familiar with both computers and the Traktor digital DJ systems
+CaesarRIO jajajajaa native instrument is the company whit more future you only see comercial shit the problems is yours bro this is a real dj no david guetta or avicci jajajajaa
I donno what people see in this... I think it's straight up terrible...
Gregory Bay rip
The best to ever do it and it is not for debate!
my dude killed it at 1:00. you could tell he was having fun making this one.
this was just amazing to say the least XD Its amazing to see such things up close
helll yeaaaa!
dang, I remember watching this 6 years ago and having no idea what he was doing. I feel like people that use traktor and produce music can really recognize how much skill this takes.
The greatest DJ to touch the turntables.........
DJ Craze. Please come to Durban. South Africa.
Kevin Chetty
Been listening to him since United DJ's of America vol.16, he's the best for sure!
2024 and this still kills so many out there.
seen this like 4 years ago n still brings chills
Craze is the best ,I wish he would compete in the world championships again that would be well worth buying a ticket :)
Bring him back under the spotlight because we need him and his talent right now
I just came 14 times, saw the creator, understood the answer is 42 and drooled all at the same time! This was...eh-hem is absolutely incredible!!
12 years and still going
Seems like "pushing buttons" replaced beat jugglin & scratching now. DJ Craze will always be a legend :-)
I’ve been looking for this song for the past five years. I thought it was a Thre3style video. So glad I found this again!
i can't stop listening to this
this guy is beast best dj ive seen so far
These little vids by NI are pure Gold!
10 years later the logaritm brings me to this and it still sounds as fresh as the first time even for outsiders like me, absolutely gnarly af
Damn 10 years later and yes craze still a monster 👀🔥
Each time I watch a live setup of a nowaday DJ I like to see this video. It reminds me that it isn't all lost...
Never get tired of watching this.. I dont understand why NI hasnt made any more videos with craze :S hi sets always kill!!!
This dude is amazing to watch in real life. True god of the platters.
Every time I watch this it's just as sick as the first time! Love it!
those golden tables are sick.
I'm totally stoked right now! Dayumn!! What a talent!
This guy is a boss, no more words said!!
Simply astonishing what ones mind can achieve amazing
I have DJ'd on and off for a couple years, and I can tell you, this stuff takes talent, you are basically creating a song out of other songs, you should see the people who do this with real vinyl, no cuepoints, no effect buttons, just alot of talent.
The one and only true turntabelist well done craze ,,very good n inspiring sir thanks for the outstanding performance
I remember listening to this when it was new
Love that platter nudge at 2:00.
Dj craze is the best dj I have eve seen
I can't get over how he is so good
this isnt a song this is a mix,
Jeeez one of the best mixers i have ever knowed!!!
And fuck all the haters
The pride of Nicaragua right there!
This dude IS a monster.
Incredibly creative. Really making the most out of the technical possibilities.
I have to watch this at least once a day
He is using two Technic 1200 Turntables with a Pioneer 909 mixer and Traktor Scratch Pro 2. All you need is your turntables, a (digital) mixer, and the Traktor Box (Traktor Audio 2.4,6,8 etc.) and special control vinyls that traktor sells. Then you hook up your turntables and mixers to the box via RCA, then the box is gonna have a USB cable that you hook up into your computer via USB, After hooking everything up, run Traktor and configure the settings for Timecode and youre all set! :)
You are a magician with your hands. BOSS!!!
My goooosh😍😍 there is nothing more perfect😍
Never gets old!
You get so used to seeing really talent-less DJ's muck about with this equipment its nice to be reminded what somebody with real "musicianship", skill and years and years and years of experience can achieve. Definitely keeping the art form alive
(did I say "years" enough?)
He kilt dat ish - tru beast... Big Up - Respect Craze...
His dj skills are amazing
God I fucking love this and can't stop listening to it!
This is so sick, My top 5 favorite RUclips videos of all time!!!!
I watched this video like 100 times. Love it
amazing skill that doesnt exist in DJ nowaday...good job
Never get bored of this. EPIC!
Poslouchám ji často. I v 2018 je to best off. Jseš nejlepší. Ahoj
Forever the dopest track. Lfg
Perfect work.
Nice!!! a genius on the decks.
I Fucking love when DJ's take control like this, and put passion into it. Fuck the ones that manipulate parameters all half-assed. This is a performance
I think he does a really good job. Most people can't create awesome beats like that.
