I'm crying. This is so relatable. I grew up poor. Not being able to afford Christmas or birthday presents, living in awful houses. Moving constantly b/c we couldn't afford rent. Living in motels, sleeping in the car. Not being able to even afford food. I mean, I know I haven't become some big RUclipsr and I haven't won a bunch of money but I'm hopeful that something big might happen soon

I think it's also his documentaries, which have really focused on helping youtubers who shouldn't be helped. Still ❤ his old content, we’re the same age and yes I remember when all of these jokes were normalized and considered comedy. Learning and being better is part of growing, the whole glass house anecdote comes to mind. I think he hides a lot of his pain behind jokes and laughter, I can see it because I do it as well. I was very impressed by this film. It felt very relatable and I wish Shane had created more work like this. don't know why he doesn't but he puts so much time into documentaries, which suck IMO. This work I really liked and it just made me tap into feelings of my own dysfunction I also experienced, self-esteem, etc. Idk man, it is like he is a hit or miss. Or he can' even recognize his own talents, utilize them in the right way. :/

This is the Shane I love. This shows his pure heart. Yes, he did some things in poor taste but I know he's not a bad person. I'm his age and I remember the shock value people tried doing. It's not right but it's what was in back then.
I’m 31 and I watched Shane as far as I can remember. I remember searching up how to straighten hair and his video came up lol! And it just went from there. It’s heartbreaking because I’ve watched him for a very long time.

This makes me feel like we should not cancel shane. Even though its sad and disappointing what he has done, he has gone through so much and it feels as if he needed to make sensitive and offensive content to get recognized. Yeah it doesnt dismiss what he has done but everyone cancelling him has admitted that they would get cancelled if they were celebs because of the offensive shit they had said.
