A person could spend years exploring London. Consider wandering through the city neighborhood by neighborhood, where you'll find each part of the city has its own distinct character. There's elegant Kensington, Brixton with a heavy Afro-Caribbean influence, Bohemian Notting Hill and exclusive Chelsea
-but these are just a sampling of the rich, often quirky character of London's many boroughs.
Come and join me on todays walk and let’s explore together!
In todays walk I will walk in Kingston. Kingston is a town located in southwest London, England, and it holds historical and cultural significance. Here's some information about Kingston:
    1. Location: Kingston is situated on the banks of the River Thames, about 10 miles (16 kilometers) southwest of central London. It falls within the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames.
    2. Town Center: Kingston has a vibrant and bustling town center known as Kingston upon Thames, or simply Kingston. It offers a mix of high street stores, boutique shops, markets, restaurants, and cafes. The town center is pedestrian-friendly, with picturesque streets and a lively atmosphere.
    3. Riverside Walks: The River Thames runs through Kingston, providing scenic riverside walks and offering opportunities for boat trips and river cruises. The historic Canbury Gardens and the Coronation Stone, a symbolic landmark, can be found along the riverfront.
    4. History and Heritage: Kingston has a rich history dating back to Roman times. It was once the coronation site of several Saxon kings, and the Coronation Stone mentioned earlier marks that historical significance. The town has preserved many historic buildings, such as the All Saints Church, the Guildhall, and the Ancient Market Place.
    5. Kingston Market: Kingston hosts a popular market held in the Ancient Market Place. The market offers a variety of goods, including fresh produce, crafts, clothing, and antiques. It's a vibrant place to explore and find unique items.
    6. Kingston University: Kingston is home to Kingston University, a well-regarded higher education institution offering a range of academic programs. The university adds a youthful and dynamic element to the town.
    7. Richmond Park: While not directly in Kingston, the famous Richmond Park is located nearby. It is a vast and beautiful parkland known for its deer herds, serene landscapes, and recreational opportunities. Many residents of Kingston enjoy visiting Richmond Park for leisure activities.
Kingston combines the charm of a historic town, riverside beauty, and a thriving town center. It offers a pleasant living environment, access to amenities, cultural events, and convenient transportation links to central London.
Kingston is a bustling market town, beautifully situated on the banks of the River Thames. With an abundance of both independent and big-name retailers, stunning riverside dining, an impressive heritage and a bustling ancient marketplace, there is plenty to celebrate in Kingston, all just 12 miles from central London and within easy reach of the M25.

@@HDWanderLens sorry, didn’t realise as I watch on my TV through Telstra Tv on Roku. You can not access description when watching on T.V. , so no way of knowing. Only sent message through phone, as hubby asked me to request, and as being on phone, description does not come up either automatically so didn’t notice. Just a note printed on screen at beginning of video would be nice for those who watch on Tv. Thanks!
