    For MTI application, If my current HOD and previous employers refused to give some of competencies signed for me in sponser and referee forms , what are implications and other options? Like MTI Team will reject my application?

    But while any job NHS says if u have GMC only then u can apply
    So during MTI application we shud mail MTI 1st for COs ?

      Look for Clinical Fellow jobs mostly.
      U can apply via royal colleges as it is more sorted, but there can be a fee payable to the colleges.
      Another way is if you have contacts in the UK, they can always ask the seniors & consultants for any such openings.
      I actually had a Facebook contact with a Consultant in UK, I directly messaged him on fb, he was very kind to have a talk & even offer me a MTI post, though there were no posts on NHS job site.
      So u never know, keep searching & applying.

    Hello..I am from Bangladesh..I have completed MBBS,1 year internship,3.5yrs post graduation training in internal medicine & passed MRCP -1 & MRCP-2 written..Am I eligible to apply through MTI route?
    Can I apply for MTI route from my country?As far as I know there is no interview centre in my country.

      Hello,
      Yes you should be able to.
      MTI interviews are mostly taken over Skype or online platform so you could do that while staying hone.

    Hi sir I completed my md in general medicine cleared parts 1 and 2 of mrcp and I’m going to take my ielts in a week…I was hoping to take maternity leave for two months..since that would be a break in my senior residency will I have to work for another year continuously before I can apply for mti..?

    Thank you so much for your guidance. I have some questions though regarding the logbook. In Algeria we dont hold such a thing. Is it a major issue ? does it compromise my chances to get a job ? Ca I just make one with approximate informations about my practical experiences ?

      Thanks for the appreciation.
      Keeping a log book helps to back up the procedures you've performed. But it is not mandatory.
      You can write the approximate numbers you've done.

    Pardon me if its a stupid question. Beginner here. Do I apply for a job first via NHS jobs or do I first request RCP for the video interview and COS? In the NHS jobs website, they require GMC for most jobs, which supposedly comes after the COS in offered. Also in the RCP website, they ask for the job details. Very confusing for a beginner. thanks

      While filling the online form for GMC, please opt Registration through Sponsorship. Make sure you have the CoS for Registration or it has been already send by the royal college.
      Rest is pretty much each straight.

    Can NHS trust sponsor us without MTI name ? And if yes then any difference between them ?

      It doesn't matter - only difference would be of type of visa but you being offered tier2 so should make no difference

    Hi, after MTI, the person is supposed to return back to their home country. What if the person wants to continue working in NHS in UK after MTI. Will they allow or will they forcefully send us back to our homecountry?
    I would like to complete MTI for GMC Registration so I can work in the NHS Permanently. Is this possible? Kindly guide.

      Hello, ideally u must go back to your home country & then reapply for a tier2/healthcare visa.
      There are many people got their visas switched staying in the UK during the pandemic but hard to stay how it would be in the future.
      MTI gives a lifetime GMC Registration so you could always comeback if u like NHS.

    I'm indian, working in KSA as a resident gastroenterology, I've recently passed MRCP gastro and hepatology.
    And I'm done with my OET and EPIC.
    Would that qualify me to apply for the MTI ?

    If I join MTI, can I write plab during the 2 year period available, to continue even after 2 year visa schedule, I am not sure I will pass frc exams

      If are successful for MTI, u will not need PLAB. Your GMC is for lifetime - provided you fulfill the renewal criteria.

      U ought to have must post graduation or royal college exams.
      Algeria wouldn't be in low/lower middle income countries, thus MTI wont be possible.
      Go via Plab route.

      Hello, You won't need MTI if you have membership or fellowship of any Royal Colleges.
      You can directly apply for registrar level jobs. You can even apply for a locum consultant post if you have experience as a consultant

      U can apply for Pediatric & Neonatal posts not sure it they would give a rotation or special interests to your interests.

      Hello, that is the amongst the basic requirements for you to proceed ahead. oet medicine is a lil more familiar to us as doctors, IELTS is quite general in terms of the material used. So basically your call.

      MTI is pathway which sponsors you the GMC Registration. Age does not stop you from anything sir. If u fulfill the criteria yes you can.

      Yes if u meet the eligibility criteria of the desired speciality, get OET, get your primary medical qualification verification by EPIC & you are good to go ahead

    Do we always have to apply ti RCP first?or after securing job in NHS,One can apply to RCP?Coz RCP told me to search for job yourself as they dnt have any current interviews

      Hello Dr.Malik - Yes you can apply that way too if applying as a physician. Apply via NHS jobs, however not all posts would be MTI convertible. I'm in talks with a friend of mine who came via MTI & is working in Medicine. Hopefully I'll be able to post soon.

    I have MRCP1,2 and EPIC verification.My OET Exam is in February 2021. Do they give time for OET, if we get selected?

      Hello bhaiji,
      Unfortunately no MTI in GP.
      GP is a speciality in UK, there is 3 years of structured training program for anyone to become a GP. Thus there is no MTI in GP.

      Dermat usually is not advertised for MTI posts.

      Hello, Yes it would definitely help in your application.
      Make sure you are continuously employed & no gaps in past 12 months when you apply.

    COS for GMC and Visa are different?

      Yes
      You would receive CoS for GMC first if applying via sponsorship.
      Then once GmC in hand you receive another for visa.

      You could apply for a GMC sponsorship via GMC SS by RCS.
      Ideally you must have ielts / oet & be ready from your end before you put your application to rcs.

    Do we need complete MRCP for MTI RCP Edinburgh?
    Because I have got their e-mail saying, first clear PACES then apply.
    I have passed MD internal medicine, MRCP1, MRCP2, OET and epic verification has been completed.
    It’s quite confusing.
