Such a simple, but incredibly profound way to give meaning to our lives. It simply demonstrates that the universe is really one. And we are one. We are just another manifestation of the one. I miss you Thich Nhat Hanh.
Thich Naht Hanh, when I found out he passed away, from this transient world, I bowed on my face and was blessed by him! He was a true Buddha! Truly enlightened! And passing the light to all sorts of peoples! His decorated life proves his Buddhahood! A true master, Saint, sage, spiritual guide, beningn, benevolent, speaking the dialect of enlightenment! As you know, Buddhism is a dialogue! He is a pure, serene, master, who has entered the pure land of the Buddhist, verily the kingdom of God! Thay was special! I will miss you! Yet you live on in my heart!
@jesusochoa3097 facts. Even the Buddha himself knew that when he said "I am not the shore. I am but a boat to get you there. Do not worship me." Guess we all see how well people listened. I honestly think Buddhism is a companion to Christianity. It helps you prepare your body and mind with discipline and understanding so that we can be the kind of human that God wants us to be in order to follow Him.
I have listened to Thay for over twenty five years and he has had a profound effect on my life. His explanations regarding anxiety and despair are very encouraging. Its only by looking deeply that transformation can take place.I still have some past memories which disturb me but ultimately there is tremendous freedom in his talks. Also there is no dogma in the talks. Its such a pity that these teachings are not on school curriculums as their potential for lasting personal, and world peace are vast.thank you my friend
you give me hope. I am 18 and struggle with constant overthinking of the past and insomnia. I discovered Thay’s teachings just a week ago and am currently reading my first book of his. I hope this may transform my life like how it did for yours🙏🏼
This man speaks to my heart and soul, my mind and body like no other. His life has saved mine. Thank you Thay for the work you do to bring your Buddhist insights to the world.
As our biology teacher miss Targowska was always saying "Nothing gets lost in the nature". She was always telling us that everything continues, for example when she was talking about ATP. I was always very spiritual and observant and her words matched so well my reality. I continued to be first master of biology, then transformed to be a PhD and I have never had a problem of connecting the nature of the things with scientific approach. It is one and the same.
From the standpoint of an engineer, i hear him describing the first law of thermodynamics, the law of conservation of energy: "energy can neither be created, nor destroyed. It only tranforms from one form to another." What buddhism found to be true is in alignment with what science found to be true.
Also from medicine, there is no "I" as we are clumps of cells in a melting pot, with diversity and boundaries, exiting together in human forms, while other sentient beings are also in clumps of cells but in different forms. We reach wisdom and intelligence to help balance our entropy instead of contributing or accelerating with ignorance.
I love the simplicity he speaks with. Such clarity. We should all aspire to be a little more like that everyday. Just slow it down and be. Huge hugs good Sir.
