Brilliant debut by the keeper, he also seems to know when to move forward or back when Liverpool were attacking, one save showed this when he moved forward made him self bigger.
Man, for the first time, I saw a keeper who can play balls for Spurs. Vicario now has some serious competition for #1 role. You can Vicario look tensed on the sidelines. LoL. Good stuff.
Austin needs to be loaned out or sold, he's a great player but he ain't in front of Vic or Kinsky a shame he's a great player. Maybe Forster gets sold and we keep Austin as our third.
Lucas Bergvall - not a first yellow but it was a yellow for the second challenge. So this was a "fair and level playing field" which is all you can ask for in football. Not many making noises about the studs down Solanke's leg from behind.
Commentators and pundits didn't tell them to think that was an awful decision from the ref to show no card and poor from var to not at least check it. How can you expect people to come up with this for themselves?
Why is nobody talking about vdv stamp on Solanke calf.. Or Diaz Punching Porro in the face at a corner? Imagine Cuti in either position.. It would be headline news? 🤔
I don’t understand this widely held narrative that Ange has held our young players back and only played them through having no choice….we’re all there?! We see everything that goes on behind closed doors!? We know the ins and outs of our players development!? For me, an equal likelihood is that the reason they are all performing so well now is due to the way they’ve been managed. Doesn’t necessarily add up that Jed would have been electric from the get go had he been introduced earlier…. Can’t we just enjoy the moment for once without thinking we all know far better than the actual manager. COYS!!!
Ange spoke on how his assistants were working with Spence at the start of the season . He won't come out and say "he wasn't as good as he is now, his improvement due to our work with him in training", will he?
@@orionthegenius3033 He did. I actually found it really interesting at the time that Ange gave the coaches most of the credit at first, but over the intervening weeks has given that credit more and more to Djed directly. I think that says a lot about Djed's journey behind the scenes.
Agree. Opening game of the season when we were basically full health Spence, Moore, Gray, and Bergvall all were subbed on. Not huge minutes, but that was a pretty clear indication that they were all going to get chances this season. Early Europa League teams when we didn't have a huge injury list backs this up.
Gray’s game-time at centre back will stand him in very good stead when he moves into the no. 6 position. Great point re new perspective emerging about the summer transfer window and Ange’s ambition to support the longer-term development of this crop of youngsters. No doubt Ange would include Yang and Odobert in that mix.
Hello Gold and Guest! Great show! Here's one for you, I am a brit living in Czech Republic now. Thanks to Nord (I did use your link), now I can watch a lot of contents from BBC, etc. Absolutely thrilled by the debut of Kinsky! One of the best in the club history. The last I could remember was Jürgen Klinsmann vs Sheffield Wednesday. COYS!
If the cbs return, i woukd start developing Gray in the middle. Our midfield are so inconsistent. He will become a definite starter for us. I can see him and Bergvall in the midfield for years
Bissouma's stats were top notch in this game and allowed bergvall some freedom to be fair. Saying that, a future midfield of gray, bergvall and kulusevski could be exciting!
@@aadikrishnan6285 I can't disagree with you there, if the bissouma we saw vs Liverpool is what we see moving forward, then he is a huge asset to the squad. Perhaps seeing gray and Bergvall coming through and challenging him will be the kick up the arse he needs
The only good thing from all these injuries this season is the forced growth of Gray, Dragusin, Bergvall and Spence. They would never have gotten the game time if the starters were healthy
Again, Alasdair praising Solanke 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 a lot of people miss what Dom does in a game , he is a big , strong player , hold up play is excellent. I really rate him. That assist to the goal was perfect. Kinsky, Bergvall, Spence , Gray all had a brilliant game.
What do you think about Porro on right wing, instead of right back? He has a great cross and a mean shot. This would allow the taller Spence to play right back?
And there’s another teenager to make a big impact by the end of the season , Mikey Moore . Archie Gray will become the Spurs Steven Gerrard by next season .
Once these injuries are fixed, we suddenly have viable rotation options in every position, without dropping too much quality. That should mean far fewer injuries and more consistency due to lower fatigue levels. No one should need to play twice per week any more. Of course, we have to get to the point there are no injuries first.
Tsimakis went down trying to get a Bergwall booked receiving treatment to hammer home his point. That’s why he is off the pitch so gamesmanship has cost him. As to VAR what resolution are the cameras to pinpoint the exact moment the ball is played. Zoom in on a 4K screenshot to pixel level to see point of contact. Go back to benefit of the doubt to attacker or daylight as another poster has mentioned. Or linesman flags captain can challenge only 2 challenges a half if successful you keep challenge if not you lose it. Sound familiar? God forbid another sport has implemented it better.
Ange said that Gray was ahead of Spence in term of opportunity at left back. If you think about it, the amount of money spent on Gray. I guess the club wanted to prioritise Gray development ahead of Spence. People also need to realise the club didn't plan for this injury crisis. Spence just needed to wait for his opportunity and he has taken it.
Randal Kolo Muani is a fairly unique one because he is a Champions League forward who could move in January. Donyell Malen is probably the other one with some similar attributes but nowhere near as tall. Much fewer options now versus the summer. Marmoush is the most versatile forward out there but with a more significant leaning towards the 10 and wing. Likely to be outbid by a club that has Champions League already. Interestingly I think Solanke’s replacement, Evanilson was one who had the versatility to play across the forward line and even play with Solanke in some situations. So the links to RKM are obvious, especially since he played best at Frankfurt as an inside forward towards the left but hard to know personal circumstances etc I think it would be a strange decision for the player, drop out of the Champions League and to share roles with Solanke, Son and possibly Richarlison. Man Utd have Rashford to shift and Hojlund at a young age, better as backup. He would be the number 1 option there. Juventus has a more complex puzzle with injuries and form but have Champions League. He might even fit Chelsea’s needs best to be honest, depending on how you look at their situation but they have their drawbacks looking from the player side.
Hey Rob and Ali these youngsters been thrown in at deep end and you can see them growing its fantastic next season we will have a very experienced squad what a debut for kinsky he will put vicario thinking wich is great
I think Spence is a better defender than Udogie, paricularly against attackers that cut inside. Udogie has had a difficult second season but gives attackers way too much room
Probably missed our window but I feel Jorrel Hato at Ajax would be perfect for us. His young can play Lb or CB his fast ticks every box but his probably gonna be a Liverpool
Hard to sign someone like Hato who could be a long term LB for the Netherlands with Udogie in a similar position with Italy. VDV has also played there which makes it more complex. The player/manager wouldn’t move into a situation like that.
No, I wouldn't have been fuming if I was in the place of the Liverpool fan in regard to Bergvall not getting a second yellow. I'm objective enough to recognize he shouldn't have been on a yellow to begin with and so on the balance all was correct. I might've been slightly peeved he was the one to go on to score, but I wouldn't have treated it as some injustice because him being sent off would've been the only scenario that was actually unjust The much more objectionable decision was the no card and no VAR check for straight red for VVD studs high into Solanke's calf (up near his knee. Almost idenfical to what Emerson was sent off for against Arsenal except even worse). But since the commentators and pundits didn't make a big deal out of it, the online sphere doesn't even recognize it for the awful decision it was. People only harp on what they're implicitly instructed to go on about. The online football sphere is just one big hive mind. The most objectionable decisions went against Spurs last night as they almost always do, but we won't hear a single word about it. What about Bradley going through the back of Son and not even touching the ball after going through his back with his trailing leg (clear yellow) and no foul given? Have you seen that mentioned anywhere? Why did they only show one short replay of the VVD challenge and not bring it up once since? I'm so tired of these narratives that the ref makes one decision that sort've halfway favors Spurs on a technicality (even though on the balance of things Bergvall only deserved one yellow which is exactly what he got) and it's a great tragedy while we ignore the million that go the other way.
With medical staff so close, Porro would've done better not to touch Bentancur at all. Obviously an act motivated by concern and in the right spirit, but not the preferred response.
Great performance by the lads. They all played well except song and kulu. They both need a rest. Where did you get kilinsky from . He was out standing only with my man of the match Berval.
To think that the club wouldn't sell Spence to Genoa for less than $8.5M when the fans would have taken a few Big Mac meal deals. Or the club signing a second rate striker when Toney was available. Maybe the club have turned a corner.
I think it’s Porto rather than Udogie that should be more worried about Spence’s form . Udogie’s form has suffered because of his injury and subsequent surgery at the end of last season , and missing all the pre season , whilst being rushed back into the team .
Three actual full-backs all playing well allows for some proper rotation. Don't forget Porro has barely had a rest all season. He's going to be one of the most fatigued in the team which will impact on his form.
Rob, the word is “mooted”, not “muted”… I would think as a journalist you would know that. Ally will be saying “Brendan” rather than “Brennan” again nexr! 😂
He knocked himself out, Poro did well but he should not have moved him, he could have had a bad neck injury, he could have checked if he had swallowed his tongue, but moving him was risky.
Ali it already did happen to my team jota blokdy karate kicked skipp in the chest and then scored the winning goal when we played Liverpool a while back. This is karma
Why do you guys always talk about something that didn't happen ie kinsky, if Alison hadn't of saved radu shot we cud of gone in and scored 8 I DIDN'T HAPPEN

@lapprentice nothing like a bit of competition the way it should be 👍
Based on that performance, Vic is going to have to fight for his place back! Feel sorry for Austin, though.

As Ange said: when play continues you don't give a yellow unless it's a professional foul.

Spot on.
Off side rule should change, there should be daylight between the players, this being off side by your elbow etc is a nonsense.
The technology framerate is definitely not that accurate. The line used should be thickened to allow for the margin of error.
At least make the reference point both players' feet. They ain't progressing without them.

I imagine it was tactical that we didn’t use a concussion sub as that would have allowed Liverpool a 6th sub when our bench was very very light.

Spurs fans didn’t go into the game nervous Rob Guest, they went into the game thinking they were going to get a thumping.
Bentancor suffered what rugby players call a 'stinger' - where your nerves in your neck absorbs a blow.
