2020 was an acid trip of a year

I was born in late 90, in Ukraine. When I was going to school we had 1 small revolution after corrupt elections, in 2008 world economic crisis, in 2013 I was almost out of school we had second bigger revolution. Then small War, then economy crashed again, then world wide virus, and after that almost immediately biggest war in Europe since WWII.
So I'm not sure it's just few years,at this point it's ducked up decade.
And I still miss it.
Less pollution, slower pace of life, nature returning to over populated areas, an excuse to get out of any commitment, It was lit.
4:59 As someone who works in logistics, I seriously thought, "This toilet paper bullshit will be like a few days tops. People can't be THAT stupid, right?" And then it went on for like three weeks, and I went from that to, "Oh, people really ARE that fucking stupid."
I worked at a grocery store during COVID. The panic buying was that stupid and that insane. Even when I explained to customers and they agreed and knew that the shortage was artificial and bullshit. They then said "BUT what if I run out!" and proceeded to panic buy anyway.
@@Vulkanprimarch i worked a grocery store at the time as well and we ended up having an armed security guard stationed there because customers were getting into furious brawls over toilet paper. it was fucking insane. one thing i always "jokingly" told customers was, how severe shits and diarrhea wasn't a symptom of COVID.
@@seanhauth1683 My IGA did end up having unarmed security guard at the door just to enforce mask wearing rules. But they were not really good at their job and we were paying them more than the regular staff who all complained that we would happily stand at the door and remind people to wear a mask for $60 an hour.
That old school herd mentality is still strong.

Just to be clear. The claims that have backing and are reasonable are the harrassment, and if you think the girl is credible, then sexual assault, or regular assault.
Jameskii has been proven to have lied aboit a dozen times in his "document" that was supposed to prove that twomad was a rapist pedophile. None of that was proven whatsoever.
Twomad was unhinged and by no means innocent, but there's no reason you have to make the family live through false allegations on top of what is essentially a drug fueled suicide, so he couldn't even defend himself if he wanted to.
The timeline is extremely different from what we thought it would be in 2019, and the worst part is that I don't even realize in what ways that is most of the time

As someone who was also an “essential worker” during the virus (aka a Cashier at a local mom and pop grocery store), people made it utter hell to work during that time and it didn’t matter whether you were pro/anti mask, someone was gonna give you crap. I once had to film a commercial for the place without a mask and a lady threw a fit seeing me without one, even though I put it on in between takes. Then we had some guy call up our store because he saw our LED sign said to “please wear a mask,” only for him to tell me he was gonna come into the store without a mask and and called me a certain name I can’t say without getting this deleted.
People really were awful during that time…
I just know that happend in America.

I was a damn janitor throughout all of COVID. What a crazy time. My days didn't change at all since I was an essential worker and actually my hours increased because people were freaking out lol. I worked at Lockheed Martin cleaning and those people were nuts sometimes. I had one lady whose office I would damn near soak in a sanitizing solution everyday despite her being the only one ever in there. People wearing face masks plus plastic face shields. Almost comical levels of social distancing. People would be sent home having been tested positive for COVID and I would be sent in their office minutes after to clean. What's wild is I have never caught COVID even after going into places where people were confirmed to have it. I'm fairly certain I was covered head to toe in that sanitizing solution damn near 24/7. I'm convinced I breathed in so much of it, it became a part of me lol. I WAS the sanitizing solution.

Here in the US we have laws in place to protect businesses from lawsuits when donating food products in good faith. Once a product is donated it is up to whoever takes the donation to maintain food safety standards. I've worked in several grocery stores over the years and we have always had local food banks pick up out of date products.
Out of date does not equate to unsafe for consumption. Food 'sell by' dates are mostly rough estimates of how long before the product has a noticeable drop in flavor or texture quality. There are exceptions of course in the case of things like sushi or other highly perishable foods.
Still even with systems in place like those being fairly common the US throws roughly 30% of all food produced into the trash. It is rather disheartening when so many people (even in the US) live with food insecurity.
I still don't know why some grocery stores BLEACH their food when throwing it away. It just seems petty.

Wearing a mask as an essential worker being a cook at a restaurant was a pain at first but now I find it quite useful, with an open flame grill sometimes there’s so much soot and smoke that gets in your mouth and nose and I haven’t had a noise bleed since

His company build with a provider the tower and when he reached the place the local residents showed a documentation of all the problems they had, headache, pains in the legs, bad sleeps...
He listend to them for two hours.

herd mentality and a perception of scarcity makes people do stupid things, apparently.
Most people don't have bidets/hose and think using a shower head to do that was barbaric.
I just used the shower head/hose to clean my ass so I didn't have a problem with this either. You realize how much money you save when you don't do something and have catchment tanks and filters.

Yea the whole corona virus era was wild. Toilet paper, wet wipes and masks becoming a huge commodity for absolutely no reason weren't bad enough, you had small businesses closing left and right cause they couldnt keep their doors open and most never returned. We also cant forget about how the cops acted. Any notion of respect I and majority others had for them dissappeared when they were going around tackling old dudes and arresting grannies for chilling in the park by themselves without a mask.
5G sometimes doesnt let me to start a game on my phone, but LTE+ or whatever goes just fine.

I always buy toilet paper in the biggest bundle possible, because I'm stingy, and it's a better quantity/price ratio. And it prevents me from having to go back to the store that often (I apply the same logic to almost every non perishable commodity), because I'm lazy.
I was working as a cashier in France on the eve of our first lockdown, and the remainder of the week. Aside from the rush before the lockdown, I think I lost faith in mankind (wasn't the first time, and wasn't the last) by seeing people buying enough toilet paper for YEARS if I compared that to my use. Not pasta, not rice, not any basic food that stays good for a long time, but freaking toilet paper. And lo and behold, after filling my derogation to go out and buy food two weeks later (I had a craving for ice cream. And beer. And processed meat), the shelves were full of toilet paper. And they called me an idiot.
On the plus side I can be proud to say I lived a time period when TP was protected by armed cops in some stores. Ok, not proud, but at least I had a good laugh.

You can't sue a company or a person if you get sick from the food - there are laws protecting that. This is common myth that is not based in reality.
Unless the person POISONED the food on PURPOSE - you can't sue.
What? You absolutely can sue and win if you prove it. Maybe hard if you're just getting diarrhea day after. But if a restaurant gives a bunch of people salmonella due to poor hygiene it can be sued.
