This was great! I like that she talked about sometimes not feeling like dancing, but mentally still improving. She is right; you can do anything you are mentally set to do! And I love her final thought. Exactly the inspiration I need for my audition this evening! Beautiful girl. Beautiful dancer.
the quote about being a first rate version of yourself that she said at the end is one of my favourites! i love these videos. they're inspiring. thanks.
I agree, gotta be my favourite dancer profile yet. I love how much she loves dance, and it helps that she's incredible at it! Beautiful dancer, inside and out.
this was very motivating and inspirational i always have those days where i cant dance right and i just dont feel like my body is doing what i want and her advice to just keep dancing even if you having one of those days inspires me to improve more and more :) thanks so much
I'm totally in love with her. She is beautiful and so positiv. Just when I look at her I start to smile :) I think she may be one fo the best dancers, i love her steps (can I say that in ballet?). Go, Elizabeht, go! ♥
I don't dance, too. I would like to, but my parents don't allow me to do ballet. But I like that you said "maybe on my next life i'll be able to dance". I never thougt like that. That comment gave me hope! :)
At my old school, we had to do 8 of those, rest for 4, and 8 more. I hope I helped! another thing you should stretch, now I think of it, are your hip flexers. And 1 more thing, make your ankles as strong as you can. Use therabands, do releves, just try to do whatever you can for your ankles. Good luck!
She did well. Very well. You can tell she put thought into what she expressed with her interview. I like her! ^_^ It's not all about technique (although her's is superb), she's just got a great attitude!
Certainly do your splits every day. and do lots of conditioning. I do not know which method of ballet you do, but a good exercise for your abs, are either crunches (boooriing....) or leg presses. If you don't know what a leg press is, you basically lay down, keep the small of your back on the floor, and put your legs up to 90 degrees. Then slowly lower your legs as far as you can go while keeping your back on the floor. Put your hands behind your neck, like crunches, but lift your head off.
ure NOT too old. go for it. ballet is for everyone no matter what age, colour, eight etc...and to prove im right, look for anaheims video called "not talking in ballet". :) i always say if ure alive and healthy, u CAN! i obey to no rules.
@kaitlyn440 You never know until you try :P I've been doing ballet for just over 10 years and I still love it just as much as I did the very first day :)
Wait a minute.. is she related to Catherine Herrmann? If so, I know Catherine.. She was part of the UGA ballet ensemble when I was a student and I danced with her.
If you can find a good studio or teacher who is knowledgable and sensitive to your particular needs, you are never too old to learn ballet. You might not be able to pursue a professional career in the dance world, but that's not everything. Find some community classes or an independent group to join. There are no limits other than your commitment and desire dictate, though physically you may have to be careful and develop slowly. I started dancing @ 22! Always dream big and work hard to achieve.
but the upside is, you don't have much longer to grow, if you are still growing...if you are 15, then you might have a max of 3 years growing, but more like 1 or almost 2. just remember to stretch! I had to stretch 2 times a day, once in the morning and once at night, before bed.
On your channel it says you are 15. That means you are probably still growing a bit. When you grow, it is very difficult to get flexible and strong...when I was in middle school, I had trouble even maintaining the strength and flexibility I had when I was younger, before I started groing about 5 inches a year. Just remember to stretch and do conditioning EVERY DAY. If you take a day off, you won't get more flexible, you'll get less flexible.
well, then you are most probably still growing. It is ok to push yourself, but it won't happen unless you really take control. I had to stretch every day, like I said, even if I had class. just be careful that you don't push too far, because I did that, and I ended up with some painful knee problems....they thought I had arthritis but I was lucky, I just tore some cartilage. (I was 12 at the time) just be careful please!
Anytime someone achieves excellency in the art - it is breath-taking.

Yes... Lizzy is Catherine's younger sister.
She's AMAZING.
But I have a question....do the leg warmer things actually serve a purpose or is it more fashion? I always wondered about that...
Liz so active and boyish and beautiful
What is the turn called that she does from 2:31 to about 2:34?
