I definitely would freeze 2-3 ingredient meals. Aside from the couple you mentioned, I find it easy to tell someone at home “throw the maple sausages in the crock pot”. Also, I write a freezer inventory so when I look I will see a complete meal or app is ready to go and I don’t have to think at all about what we’re eating. Wishing Christy a speedy recovery
Hi, how are you going to cook the bacon with water Chestnut? Will you airfryer it? I'm curious cause I want to try. I'm asian and I want to try different food lol
It can go in the air fryer but we usually do ours in the oven. 20 minutes at 400 F. If you want to do it in the air fryer, check to see how long it takes your air fryer to cook bacon and you can use that setting. 😊
My Mom would go bonkers for the Dates and Goat Cheese Pistachio Appetizer! What is sad is that she does not like Store Bought Meatballs. I know I can make my own, but I like the convenience of store bought. Me? I just like Cranberry anything! LOL Peace. Christie- My Step Dad is experiencing the same eye floaties and flashes of light. So I told him about your situation and he is going to make an appointment right away. So thank you for sharing.
Oh my goodness! I hope your dad is ok! It's not a fun process. As for meatballs, I prefer homemade too but I don't mind the frozen, pre-cooked as a substitute. I'm willing to trade off for convenience. Lol. Give my best to you Dad.
Have you tried visiting the Costco Business Centre on the west side of the city for cases of bacon? It goes on sale for a good price and works out to be much cheaper than the little packages.
We haven't but I've heard that it's not great quality. Like it's paper thin. It's probably worth a look though. Especially for something like appetizers where you need it to be wrapped and cooked. Thanks for the reminder!
The bacon ones will go in the oven at 425 for 20-25 min. until the bacon is crispy to your liking. The meatballs we usually just cook on low in the slow cooker for 2-3 hours and then put them on "keep warm" for the rest of the evening and serve them right in the slow cooker. I hope that helps!
Hey Joany - should we send help??? Clearly you're being FORCED to watch this video, otherwise you would have just skipped along and been on your merry little way without the rude comment. Btw, there's something called "the internet" where you can look up recipes and there will be no commentary. You can sit in silence with nothing but your petty thoughts to keep you company.... God bless
I’m sorry but you’re usually very conscientious about telling people to be safe about our freezer meals, but then you put an uncooked date appetizer on the same cookie sheet with raw bacon! I’m sure you were probably safe about one not rolling into the other, but you didn’t say anything about keeping them separate and someone else might not have as steady a hand.
That is a good point. I was super careful to ensure they didn’t come near each other but I should have commented about that. Hopefully people will read the comments and see the caution here. Thanks for pointing that out!
Thank you for helpful tips and delicious ideas using minimal ingredients!
These all sound so delicious and easy! Thank you for braving it alone💕
Thank you! ❤️
I make bacon wrapped water chestnuts every Christmas. I add brown sugar to the soy sauce. It makes it yummier!
Yes it's good with the brown sugar! They're always a hit!

That's super organized! I love it. And thanks for the well-wishes! ❤️

There is a thin one, a case with just ends (perfect for soups etc) and a thicker one.
Get well christie!! Looks good! I'm focusing on clearing my tiny chest freezer of "meat" so I can make some more stacks!
Thanks! You have room for more meals? 🤪 Lol
@FreezerMeals101 I'm making bang bang salmon for lunch... but not as a freezer meal...but i have salmon in my freezer so it's defrosting as we speak!
Wow 32 minutes! Christmas movies ❤

Too much talking, make your point and get to the recipe.
Yep. We're chatty here. And kind. And helpful. And not sorry about being chatty.

What temperature do you cook the bacon wrapped chestnuts and stuffed dates, please?
Talk too MUCH!!
Yep we're chatty. We know.
Can't watch using goat milk so gross
You can always substitute cream cheese for the goat cheese if you prefer.
