Jimi Hendrix Memorial and Grave site

The guitar legend Jimi Hendrix was put to rest at Greenwood Cemetery in 1970. His father decided to build a memorial for fans to visit and pay tribute.
And in 2003 Jimi Hendrix remains was moved to the southwestern corner of the cemetery where this memorial was raised. The memorial is a high granite dome took two years to build.
Jimi Hendrix father died in 2002. Both father and son rest beside each other at this beautiful memorial.
Jimi Hendrix is in the 27 Club, a group of popular musicians who all died at age 27.
