Highlights of Newbridge Academy Advanced Golf Program
- Starting September 2013 for male and female students in grades seven through twelve.
- Two hours of golf-specific training every day, including:
Instruction at Awareness Golf School featuring Ed Hanczaryk (PGA) and Todd Bishop (PGA)
Instructed range time at the East Hants Sports Dome up to four times per week (1,000 to 1,500 quality ball strikes per week)
Golf-specific fitness with certified instructors (Focused on the seven key physiological proficiencies-balance, flexibility, posture, core stability/strength, cardio endurance, nutrition and performance skills)
Training with a golf-specific sports psychologist on mental preparation
Golf-specific yoga with certified instruction
During the fall and spring, students will rotate between the indoor range in East Hants and golf-pro supervised range and course play at Oakfield Golf & Country Club
Included in tuition, a spring trip to PGA Village in Port St. Lucie, Florida. This trip will include five days of instruction and playing at a premier training facility and will be followed by a Ryder Cup format tournament attended by university recruiters.
- Four full academic credits taught by Nova Scotia-licenced teachers, in advanced secondary classes with a focus on university preparation and scholarship achievement.
- All students will be provided with an iPad for the year.
- Will provide in-house SAT preparation and testing.
- Assistance with university applications, admission process, and scholarship submissions.
- Partnership with recruiting agents for NCAA schools with up to a 95% success-rate in placement of first choice schools.

During the summer months, Oakfield Golf & Country Club will provide our Advanced Golf students with:
· Range access after 3:00 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays at no additional charge
· Green fee for 18 holes for $55+HST on available Mondays and Thursdays in July and August after 3:00 p.m.
