Curtis, I'm sorry to hear of your loss but they can still return, don't loose hope .
I have hawk and falcon problems where I'm at and one hawk of falcon spooks all the birds.
The good birds return unless one got killed or two
    Good luck and happy flying..

Yes, I know they most likely will return. Just in the last hour 4 of them have made it back. I am only missing about 6 birds now. Sunset is at 7 so still about 3 -4 hours for them to try and make it back today. If not, probably tomorrow.

Set up a security camera so that you can keep an eye on them at all time if needed and find out what happened in the recording afterwards. Also a group of 30 YBs may be too chaotic for their first or second time out. I would suggest breaking them into smaller groups like 10 for example and alternate their time out. Just my 2 cents! Hope you’ll get them back.

The ups and downs of pigeon racing. May God bless all of your birds to come back. Ameen.

Keep your chin up. Pigeons learn from such experiences and will be better off thereafter.

Well that kinda sucks!.. Hopefully a few make it back later today.. Surprised that they would just take to the air like that and fly off as bad as they did, just from somebody walking by.. I would expect them to do what the others did in the last video, flying around in the immediate area and landing when the threat was gone. Hopefully it all works out.

Loft fly your old birds early morning and evening next few days. If the young ones are still flying and looking for home, they will see if they come back to the area and return

They should be back. I always let my young birds out in the afternoon until they really get it. First few times I get them extra hungry and call them back in within 30 minutes if that. Once they get use to the board and trapping I will then increase their time out. I have had birds out over night and even longer and they come back. Best of luck.
