This video made me tear up something fierce. It made me think of when my little sweet pea was a baby. How they look so ugly that they're adorable. They're little cries to be fed. Getting all cuddly and attached to you because you become their new momma. First flights. Growing into their colors. Learning songs. Such precious babies. My little guy is 13 now and I'm thankful for every day I have with him.
OMG this made me cry with joy!! My mom passed away June 25th 2015 and she had a finch wich i am now taking care of and i know nothing about. I think its a he i call Bleep Bleep for the unique sounds he makes . I have grown to love him and talk to him daily and even play videos of other bird sounds and it seems to make him active and happy i hope. Thank you for such a touching video!!
Brenda Irizarry Sorry for your loss.. my mom also passed away June 30th 2015...and I pray that you're ok and God is healing your heart like he has for me
What a heartwarming little video, so trusting and vunerable... how patient you must be, thanks for sharing it........ makes me smile, pretty music too.............
You can clearly see how smart they are. All animals are smart, in their own way, and they all feel. People often think animals are "things" that you can close, lock, chain, cage, because they "don't feel anything......they are so wrong!!!!
I watch this video regularly. This video always says to me, there can be beauty in understanding. Thank goodness. I learned that from my mum and my wife.
Beautiful Creatures and soothing music ever I heard. Wow the love with such a small creature. May Allah the creator shower his utmost blessings on you. Aameen.
How wonderful and satisfying. I have hand raised many types of doves, Lovebirds and parrots but never a finch. I have promised to hand feed a Gouldian but time gets in the way.
I love this video. Our finches had an egg hatch today. Super excited. Question, how do you know if the finches are getting enough food from the parents? At what point do you need to maybe intervene and assist with feeding? This is our first experience with Finches. Any tips or info would be so greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Oh wonderful, did they all make it? Will they stay tame like that? I just had my first batch of five babies, the parents are feeding them, so far so good!
Che meraviglia, che bellezza, un cuore grande e generoso per un bene immenso verso piccole creature indifese. Bisogna pur vivere d ' amore . Per questo vale la pena vivere. Bravissima !
that was awesome! i'm new to finches, i presently have 5 eggs in my nest! i'm very excited and so are my children. thank you for the video! what are you feeding them?
You did a great job with so many babies. How do they look now? Most videos showing babies stop at juvenile, but I want to know, what they look like into adulthood?
Bah... I saw the same lady, at the same time, some years ago. There was an even better clip, anyway, i cried all the way thru that. A lot. I just came for a revisit... I was less teary but equally moved...
How beautiful can't wait to get my breeding pair this week and then hopefully will end up with this resalt. Have to hide them from the parrot or he will get jealous.
Just got a pair with view to hand rearing like this so they're tame. Hope I can find such patience. Am wondering if parents still around or totally hand reared? A lot of work (and possibly stress) but obviously hugely rewarding. Well done!
Hey thank you so much for posting this video, it's helping me out so far! Well my zebra finches had a clutch and two so far have been born, one day apart, and i keep finding both on the bottom of the cage so i made the decision to take em out! I fed both of them about half an hour ago using the very method with the toothpick but my only problem now is making sure they have the right temperature. I hhave a heating pad covered with a cloth and papertowel and they are in a box with the lid almost but not fully closed. I don't have a thermometer so can you tell me how to gauge the temperature they should be at by hand at all? I almost have a moist piece of paper towel in there for humidity and am feeding them human baby formula(my grandma used to raise baby love birds and she used human baby food.) thanks!
Hand-feeding formula from local pet store. You can Download our Hand-feeding guide in English language and a lot of useful information and pictures here - www.etsy.com/uk/listing/877788882/finch-hand-feeding-guide-2020?ref=shop_home_active_4
🥺❣️🥰 I love my zebi finches! Wanted to ask a quick question ⁉️ so baby momma decided not to feed her 2 babies and she abandoned 2 eggs, so after exhausting hours of trying to find a solution I came up with putting them with old grandma to see if she wanted to take care of them and apparently she did! She tries to keep the eggs warm and grandpa does too! But! Because I waited to see if she would feed the only baby left she kind of doesn't so I decided to feed the baby formula, should I just leave them care for the baby and just check for her crop to be full or should I feed her formula? or both seed and formula fine?
Really loved it. I love Finches. Wondering what to feed them. In my country I did not see any ready made food for baby birds. Guess if you feed them like this, they will be well tamed and may not require a cage.
