Nice tear down and testing. Just wondering, even though you couldn’t get all the way in, were you able to scan the cell’s QR code to see who the mfg is?
Great test, thanks! Amazon has them right now for $134 with their Prime sale. Ordered one through your affiliate link.
Great video, I'm surprised to see prismatic cells in this mini battery.
Me too, I really though there were going to be pouch cells jammed in. Thanks!
Very cool stuff, and I'm not just talking the low-temp charging test! That's got to be the smallest possible 100ah battery, using prismatic cells. You couldn't get much smaller even with pouch cells, unless the case was structural and part of the compression fixture. I feel like we're reaching a plateau with this particular battery form factor, where everything in the traditional Group 24 and Group 27 sizes has been done. It's remarkable how much energy storage you can get, in a fairly small amount of space and very little weight. Three of these batteries would weigh less than just one of the old AGM's I used to run on my boat, yet deliver 6 TIMES as much usable energy, and fit in just a little bit larger space. I never thought we'd see battery tech like this.
Thank you for this great test. I have two (2) of them arriving on Feb 19, 2024. Can't wait to receive them. I always check your reviews before purchasing anything for my modest little solar array and emergency power needs.
Nice, I like these, I think you will too. Glad to help, and thanks for watching :)
I like the cooler idea 💡 Smart guy 😃
Aww shucks :) Thanks buddy!
GrenerPower also has this form factor and LiPuls as well. I wonder if Cyclenbatt is related to GrenerPower/LiPuls? It seems that the other minis (LiTime/Redodo/PowerQueen) are all from related companies. It is good to see more competition in the mini space.
Just installed one on my boat for everything jackplate, trim, 2 1500w amps, gps, accessories, etc..., heavy agm for starting. Ordered a lithium isolator, but may try running this setup for now until that comes. I do have both batteries isolated with battery switches. Motor will charge the agm. Thinking when motor is running I can connect both through the battery switches. Any thoughts or concerns? Or I should just charge the lithium at home with dc lithium charger?
Did you do any tests for the BMS? Looks great!
Besides the low temp test, not yet. Thanks
Can these batterys be used on there sides ?
Are these waterproof ?
Really cool. Now, I'm wishing...
Anyway, you don't seem to mention how long the battery was drained for. Forgive me for having a knack for more information. 😁
I wonder if the inverter wouldn't have shut off by itself. I actually expected that it would. Maybe I was misinformed.
It appears to be a good thing that it doesn't charge under cold conditions unlike the video of the other ultra mini that begins with X. Shouldn't we want the battery to be rechargeable under all conditions?
Will any of these 12V LFP batteries work in an electric vehicle?
$236 with the $100 discount on Amazon. That's a phenomenal value--less than some AGMs.
That was pretty thorough temperature testing Brad. Maybe set it to 32 (0oC) and see at that temperature. This chemistry should no charge at or below 0oC.
For sure totally agree on the 0C. My only hang-up on getting it that close was I didn't feel I could really verify the spot where the sensor was reading was actually 32F (0C) Since I could not get to access to it. Thanks Ben!
@@BradCagle Each change in temperature took hours and being able to get the point where it trips...., I get it.
When you choose a battery, take a good look at the company before buying. This is the organization that is supposed to provide warranty service in the future should you need it. You will also be advised to stay with the same brand and capacity of battery if you decide to expand in the future.🎉
I’ve been on link too order because gonna use for electronics on boat and I definitely want the low temp protection but it’s not showing 100 amp available too order and doesn’t say when they will have them ? Any idea how too find out how too get this battery
They're probably out of stock.
Hey, I noticed it's now available.
Where is the address for this battery ?
It's in the description.
What is your opinion of hooking this battery and Redodo mini in parallel ?
hmm, I cant really think of anything that would be a problem. EDIT: Manufacture recommends not to, as bitsufr46 pointed out.
@BradCagle Redodo recommends that you only parallel two of the same model and purchase them no more than 3 months apart.
@@bitsurfr46 Well there you have it, I suppose shouldn't do it. Maybe different resistance can cause one to be stressed more than the other, I guess that's a possibility.
Where can I find address for this Battery

What I would like to see is a 200AH mini battery.😅
Put two of these together and that's still pretty dang small. :)
@jasonbroom7147 That would create a system with 2 BMSs. That could limit the future expansion of your system. Larger capacity batteries are the future of the LiFeP2O4 market.
@@bitsurfr46 - Boils down to use case; always has, always will. Larger capacity, higher-voltage systems are not indicated in many situations. There's a reason the market is turning out so many 100ah batteries...they hit a sweet spot for many of the reasons you might need a battery. I've built them from component parts, in sizes from 2500mah to 240ah. Also built 24v and 48v batteries, from 50ah on up. Horses for courses.
There are several, depending on what you mean by "mini." See LiTime 230 ah, Epoch 300 ah, NewtiPower 300 ah, to name a few.
thanks, great review
You're Welcome!
