The sad thing about the industry as a whole is this isn't the first nor the last time talking about this topic. The message I want to spread is that we are the major stake holder within the industry.. For example if we really wanted to knock the lumpers out the picture any DC that is using that service wont get loads delivered to there docks. We have that power.
Things must change for trucking
When I worked in a grocery werehouse, often the driver and the warehouse staff would unload the trucks. But the drivers were paid hourly so they were paid to unload.

Welcome to the capitalist America. There’s so many things i noticed unethical yet legal. The ball is in the carrier’s court but they are sleeping on it. We need a day “A day without truckers”.
