Question: What was the contribution of Jinnah in the freedom movement and why did he never go to jail? As all other leaders went to jail in the freedom movement.
Nothing, he was a British cricket clubber, a lawyer who ran away from politics for the period when freedom fighting was happening, never supported the khilafat movement against the British, and showed up again to ask for a favor from the British when they were leaving to get his own nation to rule in the name of Islam, though I guess his father was actually a gujarati hindu. He was basically a British chump who got Pakistan as a favor from the British. He didn't even know Urdu, he only spoke in English and collected a crowd of fools who didn't understand him anyway.
Contribution of Jinnah: He opposed Khilafat movement. (He opposed global umnah concept).
It was Gandhi who introduced global umnah concept into Indian freedom movement via Khilafat Movement. The roots of Pakistan lie in Khilafat movement.

The plan was called Silk Letter Movement and 59 freedom fighters, mostly Muslims, were charged for waging the war against the Empire. There were others besides Muslims, Like Hindus, Sikhs , Buddhists, Jainis, Christians who fought for freedom of the United India.Pakistan was separated from India because some Muslims wanted their own separate sovereign state. many others fought for freedom of United India. India got its independence on August 15, 1947 and Pakistan separated from India on August 14, 1947. It is really not an Independence day for Pakistan, technically!
