Just grateful that i lived in the same century to witness his greatness. Feel sorry for these younger generation who didnt have an opportunity to see his plays everyday in season. One can argue that somebody else might be a better athlete than Jordan. But in my mind, MJ was,is, and will be the greatest of all time.
I remember watching those videos growing up my dad made me watch them he was so magical such an ultimate champions. I love seeing people’s journeys in sports who they struggle against and finally accomplish who they play everything
jordan physically was the best. had the best work ethic. had the complete understanding of the game. killer instinct. willpower. intellect. drive. ultimate professional.
I'm a basketball coach for teenage kids and I asked them "Who is the best basketball player of all-time?" Not surprised they all said Kobe Bryant. I said "Ok, any of you ever heard of Michael Jordan", to my surprise MOST of them said NO! I played this entire video for them and they were blown away and after watching it they all agreed that Kobe is not even close to Michael Jordan =)
What's so impressive about Michael and the other basketball players like Charles Barkley is their respect for their elders. Young people today have missed this important ingredient for success. And sadly, American society has decayed. We've got to bring manners and respect back.
and in addition, reason why so many people consider him as the GREATEST is not just becoz of the tangibles things that he possess, but also because of the intangible qualities that he have as an athlete.
Perhaps the greatest athlete of all times.. (my opinion )...!!Thank God i was born at 90s so i see some of his airness live..!!Also than God that my team OLYMPIAKOS from GREECE or HELLAS played against him at 1998 one game that i will never forget....WE LOVE YOU MICHAEL...!
I love you michael jordan aside from the fact that you are one of the best when it comes to basketball, you are also the MOST GOODLOOKING GUY in NBA very handsome american Ive ever seen, i like you so much, your smile puts me in a very good mood everyday...God Bless You... MICHAEL JORDAN (MJ) one of Americas Greatest Icon and Symbol... I love you Idol...Mahal Kita Vince from Manila Philippines
funny reading the comments from kids who never watched jordan but watch koby and think that there is even a comparison. jordan is more than just a basketball legend, he is one of the most iconic figures in all of sport.
Kobe is a one on one player. He loves to post fade. He rely's on his ability as an all around scorer. He does not just rely on his 3 point shooting. Give him more respect than that
people forget that heats big 3 are composed of 3 players that are easily on top 8 of their generation. imagine jordan teaming up with 2 more top 8 players of their generation and that would be how you measure the weight of them winning a championship. jordan had pippen and the rest were role players. jordan GOAT. period.
The fact remains - At that time, the NBA needed Jordan and Jordan needed the NBA. They purposely did not call any offensive fouls on him so that the Nation can rally behind him. Kobe is already an icon just like he was, although in a different era. Game recognize game.
MJ was terrifically exciting in his era, much the Dr. J and Wilt Chamberlain were in theirs. But Jordan will go down as the ICON for basketball. Michael Jordan in Hebrew means: ONE LIKE GOD WHO HAS DESCENDED. Wow. Folks used to call Jordan a Basketball god!
I think the one way in which I settle this is that if the survival of the human race depended on a last second shot, no one in the history of basketball would have a better claim to that shot than Michael Jordan. Not Wilt, not Lebron, not Magic, not Bird, not Jabbar, no one! This is why Mike (and I have no hesitation on saying this) is the greatest of all time!.
Like Michael Jordan said "There will never be the next Michael Jordan, or was he the next Wilt Chamberlain..the players of today will make themselves legends and inspire others." Michael even states that he doesn't deserve the title of being one of the greatest...he feels as if he didn't get to go up against players like Wilt Chamberlain or Kobe Bryant to find out.
Listen im 16 yrs old and i just happen to be growin up in a bad era of b ball. Now my fav team is lakers and fav player is kobe... But kobe is old school but now the kids have to look up to lebron and melo; a couple of city abandoning losers? its heartbreaking cuz this is what the kids have to look up to. Man I wish mj played today
The day Michael Jeffrey Jordan retired for good was the day I stopped watching basketball. Michael J. Jordan was , is, and forever will be the "GREATEST OF ALL TIME" in basketball. There will never be anyone like him.
Originality is at the HEART of greatness. There was no one like MJ, Bird or Magic in the NBA then or now. Ewing's game was as different from Olajuwon's, as his was from Robinson's & Shaq's was from ALL of 'em. That's a BIG part of what DEFINES their greatness.. Imitating a legend's "moves" doesn't make one a legend. ONLY when the imitator can CONSISTENTLY "produce" comparable or better individual on-court RESULTS than the legend, can a "legitimate" comparison be made between them..
You will always find arguments about GOAT, but there can be no argument that MJ was the MOST WATCHABLE, MOST ENTERTAINING, MOST CREATIVE of all time !!!.....when Magic and Bird retired, MJ was the only one I wanted to watch in an NBA championship series. Check out Michael's classic "FROZEN MOMENT" ad for Nike online and tell me anyone else could have made that commercial ??!!
people concentrate on his scoring ability, but forget that he was the NBA top defender many times...his constant, dogging defense is what makes him different than today's "offense only" mentality
Jordan and Bryant are both great players. It's unfair to compare the two tho. People criticize Kobe as lacking the leadership Jordan possessed but Jordan's career has ended. We've seen the transition he has made from the start to the end of his career. Remember Jordan didn't start a leader. Kobe's still maturing as a player. He's beginning to make that transition like Jordan (look at his recent games). Kobe has all the respect for MIchael and he's content to follow behind Jordan's legend.
I still remember back when the bulls were facing the cavs coming close to the playoffs, bulls already semented and cavs fighting for a spot and all the media and newspapers were praising Eloh(SP?) for his great defense and claiming how he is the only person who could stop Jordan. Then Michael scored 69 points on 55% FG shooting with 6 assists with eloh(SP?) guarding him. Do not give Jordan motivation.
Clearly a comment from somebody who is, at most, 15 years old. Jordan dominated the league in a way that was never seen before. He did it at a time when the league was way more physical as well.
one of my favorite videos of all-time! he really is the best there is. i've seen kobe and lebron play a while, and they're good, but they just aren't him
I wouldn't say the perfect ambassador of grace and dignity. wasn't the most humble and graceful guy. but after his career yeah he's been extremely humble
@DJPROCK im under that and ive watched thousands of his games not literraly but alot and what puts jordan over all is of course the heart and the love for the game and thats what is missing in todays nba
When Jordan retired, he was considered the greatest of all time, without a doubt. When Kobe retires, we'll try to come up with lame excuses to compare him to Jordan.
I got what you were saying but i forgot to mention these legendary players too that never got a ring:Tracy Mcgrady,Vince Carter,Pistol Pete Maravich,Allen Iverson,Tim Hardaway,Grant Hill,Adrian Dantley,Penny Hardaway,Steve Nash(this era),Amare Stoudamire(this era),Carlmelo Anthony(this era),Mark Price,Chris Webber,Benard King,Elgin Baylor,Kevin Johnson,Terry Porter,Chris Paul(this era), Allen Houston,Larry Johnson,and Latrell Sprewell....came up short and all are hall of famers to me.
I think Kobe came the closest to him, but even Kobe at his best couldn't stand a chance against Michael Jordan in his prime. He just had so many things going for him. Not only were his statistics better, but he read the game better and knew when to pass the ball. That's something that a lot of these superstars don't know how to do. Their selfish egos wind up killing the team.
Wir wollen es nicht übertreiben Hoon Lee ;-)

No player is even closer like MJ. He was and probably will be the best, ever.
I'm a basketball coach for teenage kids and I asked them "Who is the best basketball player of all-time?" Not surprised they all said Kobe Bryant. a man is measured on after his retirement, its 2011 and the world still considers michael jordan the greatest player ever in basketball history
These vides Never gets too old to watch.
Some people dream of being the best basketball player out there and other people actually put in the hard work to become the greatest player.
I'm 19 and I saw him play. He's still the king of kings.
Michael Jordan - The best there is, the best there was, the best there ever will be.
and in addition, reason why so many people consider him as the GREATEST is not just becoz of the tangibles things that he possess, but also because of the intangible qualities that he have as an athlete.
He wasn't just a great player, he was the greatest leader.
THE GREATEST ATHLETE OF ALL TIME!

records are made to be broke, but even kobe, dwade, lebron will never acheive such greatness, on and off the court.

The fact remains - At that time, the NBA needed Jordan and Jordan needed the NBA. They purposely did not call any offensive fouls on him so that the Nation can rally behind him. Kobe is already an icon just like he was, although in a different era. Game recognize game.
One shot changed his career in NC...amazing!!!
One word Magical!
when watch his highlights its just breathtaking. How in the world did he do it?
MJ was terrifically exciting in his era, much the Dr. J and Wilt Chamberlain were in theirs. But Jordan will go down as the ICON for basketball. Michael Jordan in Hebrew means: ONE LIKE GOD WHO HAS DESCENDED. Wow. Folks used to call Jordan a Basketball god!
"Limit one rebate per household." Man this is so 90s.
I think the one way in which I settle this is that if the survival of the human race depended on a last second shot, no one in the history of basketball would have a better claim to that shot than Michael Jordan. truly gifted

Hating on Kobe's game is like hating on MJ cause Kobe is the MJ of this era!
I'm 20 and I definitely saw him twice...

Micheal is the greatest of all time !
MJ: THE GREATEST THERE EVER WAS, THE GREATEST THERE EVER WILL BE. Simply the best of all time, BY Acclamation.

The meaning of Greatness !
ya the ultimate MICHEAL JORDAN
one of my favorite videos of all-time! he really is the best there is. i've seen kobe and lebron play a while, and they're good, but they just aren't him
Michael jordan is the greatest player of all time.
I wouldn't say the perfect ambassador of grace and dignity. wasn't the most humble and graceful guy. but after his career yeah he's been extremely humble
i am here in 2017 after 10 years
@DJPROCK im under that and ive watched thousands of his games not literraly but alot and what puts jordan over all is of course the heart and the love for the game and thats what is missing in todays nba
When Jordan retired, he was considered the greatest of all time, without a doubt. When Kobe retires, we'll try to come up with lame excuses to compare him to Jordan.
The point im getting at is that, since lebron got decent teammates it only took him 2 years to get a ring. That's unbelievable.
Thanks Dad, for recroding Jordans games for me.. :)
EXCELLENT , skilled ...the best, although I think he had to have some luck from time to time, still the most powerfull player !
Loved where the vid stopped lol
goosebumps!
MJ Nr 1 for ever :)
Michael Jordan 1984-forever!
The Warner Bros intro made me think this was Space Jam
I think Kobe came the closest to him, but even Kobe at his best couldn't stand a chance against Michael Jordan in his prime. He just had so many things going for him. Not only were his statistics better, but he read the game better and knew when to pass the ball. That's something that a lot of these superstars don't know how to do. those days when the bulls are bulls...but derrick rose is coming to be another great legend
there are basketball players and then there's MICHAEL JORDAN....
