Personally, I'd keep with the H for now. If/when it breaks again, then I'd switch it over to sequential. Sequential does sound like overall a good choice for long term, more pros than cons.
Sequinchal is good for not going broke racing but H patterns better for the street it the best feeling being able to drop gears( downshift) and to switch gears in traffic not for a Sequinchal
Is not even true H pattern anymore, there’s shifters out there where it completely looks you out of gears, so essentially you are just pulling up and down!

It’s like driving a m/c. You can shift faster with slight pressure on the shifter while releasing the throttle
