TheKinjaz How do you feel about the favoritism and bias going on within the show? Do you feel as the though the format is best? And how has it impacted you as a group?
TheKinjaz , keep these episodes coming. I like videos like this, that gives us(fans and the world) a glimpse into the mindset of the Kinjaz. It would also be nice if there could be an introductory video each week, highlighting a member of the Kinjaz Family (Kinjaz Unmasked...If you will). Many of us missed Kinjaz Konvos! I try to explain to people the Kinjaz are not some gimmick, they are a family, Kinship that works together, create together and have a vision to inspire together and that is to be admired and appreciated. It is not about the mask, it is about the people wearing the mask and videos like this gives a synopsis into those individuals behind the mask. Kinja-Pride!
Love this, we don't usually get to see much about the people in kinjaz and purely just see your amazing choreography. As a fan, I am glad to be able to hear your thoughts.
Best interview with the Kinjaz bc we get insight on them as a true brotherhood and process of 36 members. They were robbed but they stayed strong and let's be real, them and Jabba are the best dance crews ever
Nicole Everett Girl you need to stop that. The Kinjaz don't even talk like that. They always say "respect all, fear none". This is what the community is all about. They always accept their defeat and never knock their opponents down by saying things like they got robbed.
God sees everything... Things happen for a reason... Defeat is not the end... Its part to keep the bond even stronger... To be more inspired - "Respect all. Fear none." Continue the faith, love, hope and passion. Dont forget to have fun in dancing...
I really enjoyed this video, it was like a podcast. And now I miss Kinjaz Konvos. Damn :( The timestamps from the description: 0:20 - Kinjaz "Why" 9:00 - Keone & Mari "Why pt 1" 13:09 - #commUnity (The West Coast Urban Dance Community) 18:02 - Keone & Mari "Why pt 2"
I am really happy that both Mari and Keone, and the Kinja's leads wanted to do this video. I am really tired of all the drama talk about who should have or would have whatever. Their discussions and reasonings for their actions are so uplifting and pure. I've loved everyone in their group since I watched the Kinjas and Cookies competing years ago.
Many fans like me were very disappointed to see that neither of you guys won the competition. But it's okay. With such genuine hearts great intentions, and humble visions, you guys will go much farther than what NBCWOD had to offer.
Keone's question though about the other Kinjaz members was great. Honestly would love to see the rest of the Kinjaz members in more choreography videos not just freestyle. Definitely understand that not all 36 will always be available to dance but would love to see some of them in future videos. Love watching interviews like this! Very insightful! Much love to you guys!
This is great. I'm quite new to the Kinjaz, (I only found you guys out last year or two) and I didn't had a chance to get to know how you guys interact with one another and your audience because everything seemed so formal. I will always be a fan of the Kinjaz! Best wishes to all of you and your future endeavours.
Now this is what I have been waiting for. Thanks for opening up and starting this series of videos where we get to meet you guys :D People like me who want to practice with you every day but can't since I live far away really want to get to know you better since I am a fan of your work.
Its awesome to see how they handle defeat. How they handle the dynamics. How they handle changes in their lives as a community. How they keep on inspiring dancers to keep on believing on themselves by keeping the bond even stronger... Keep on fighting for the faith, love, hope, passion and the fun in dancing. I love growing with them through their videos and dance workshops... As per Anthony Lee " Its a journey..."
Do more of these please, I loved Kinjaz Konvos because I felt like it was seeing another side of you guys beside your dancings, a human connection you might say.
I am a dancer and I look to you guys and think how can I be like y'all but stay in my skill level but also keep my own stile you guys are my ideal and I'm glad that y'all will still be dancing it means a lot to me I hope y'all read this
This is why you guys are my favorite. So genuine and transparent. I really love seeing the progress of growth within the crew and the independent members. You guys are the model family that all groups of any kind of organization should strive to be.
These videos are great! I am in the other side of the country and rarely get to attend the workshops or meet any of these guys - I have followed them for years, most of them when they were just starting in their community groups - so it's nice to see a side that I can't see due to not only the distance but also the side that many dancers can relate to. Respect to all of you 🙏🏻
Prothane same here... living in an island of the Philippines, videos like these helps us in connecting with them. I was able to join their once in a blue moon dance workshops here in Cebu, Philippines ( as per Anthony Lee "#lechon, #toron, #lumpia."haha) and i love it! Pushing myseIf to learn more in a style that is not my comfort zone. Well, I love growing with them.
Thank you for giving a behind the scenes of your thought process and history of your commUNITY. I'm happy you did the show. It was my first time seeing you. You're amazing dancers all of you. I wish you continued success.
So glad you guys did the show. I became a huge fan of both Kinajz and Keone and Mari! Really enjoyed the laid back living room conversation this video was...Dog and all!
I'm 25 years old and have never danced professionally, probably never will but this video was super informative and interesting to watch. Thank you for sharing your truth
Thank you for this! I knew you were all righteous people just watching your style of dance but hearing this really helps me appreciate you guys more. Also it shows a huge deal of how people should decide to do things, such as in business with deciding on how to "cut" members of the group. I'm glad you all have a big heart.
Man I love the fact they were talking about commUNITY. I've had a chance to compete with my crew against a few these guys or even perform in front of them and after the competition/ performance it's nothing but love. Even tho I'm not with my crew anymore I will always be part of the family and will always stay close and support to the commUNITY that's been built and ever growing. Even if I was a just a speckle, I was definitely part of it. Love this real talk series. Shout out to the commUNITY and my crew Meccamee.
You guys did a great performance. You told a great story and I for one along with other people would agree to that! Respect you guys and your commitment to the Kinjaz family. Continue to grow and make your family better and bigger. Great to see a crew that is still very true and humbling. You have a fan for life! #RespectallfearNONE
It's so cool to see these guys ambitions. World of dance is an opportunity of a lifetime and despite the prize, it was only for their passion to dance that they were willing to compete and not for the money. Yes everyone can use a little change, but what good is it if you can't do what you love? These guys obviously show that they can live in a box and still be happy because they are doing what they love. By the way love all of your dancing and please continue to grow and inspire the future.
Gotta love how you all guys bring up some of the most frequently asked questions that I've always wanted to be answered! Keep it up Kinjaz, maintain that same strong brotherhood and always push forward! I've been a huge fan ever since the day I found out about you guys, and I don't imagine myself being a dancer now if not The Kinjaz! #KinjaBang P.s - Gotta love how y'all are sitting the same at 18:16
The thing is the only reason they didnt make it to the finale was JLo tried to rig the show for swing latino since two dancers in that group work for her as back up dancers
Angie Liao- I've been subscribed to them since early 2016, they done a lot of videos on other members, like a couple of Poreotic members, Phil Garvin, Lawrence Kao, etc
Angie Liao The kinjaz have that many members prob due to all of them being teachers. Kinjaz is technically a school organization so they should have a lot of teachers to teach kids many styles of dance
Matthew Davis why? When Bart does it Anthony doesn't care. He only cares when strangers do it because they aren't friends. It isn't just friendly banter at that point
Anhdrew Pik I can already picture it. Anthony walks into the Jk office for jknews and the jk crew all have smirks on their faces with their cameras pointing at him ready to capture this roast on camera for their vlogs with Bart just staring at Anthony knowing what's about to go down.
So glad Anthony Lee specified what their "community" meant. I love Kinjaz but was feeling kinda like they were not very inclusive of different races/cultures. It was clouding my love for them. Glad I watched!
Dion Vo We should ask the judges why did they lose these artistic dancers??? Showing different stories of their piece... Not just stunts and costumes... Their style lives on...
Kenny Omega that is true I guess, meh, who needs a dance competition to show who's the best dancer/dance group when they r already the best in our eyes!
Maybe in the next episode you guys can talk about other groups and especially jabbawockeez. I know the next part might already had been recorded but would like to hear your thoughts about them and their elimination.
Great job by all you guys representing. I remember growing up (probably around the same time as most of the people in the video) and there were hardly any Asian faces on tv, especially dudes. Sammo Hung, maybe Jackie Chan on the big screen, Ruffio (still can't get over what hapepned to him). Just by showing up I think it makes a difference to the little Asian kid and what he/she thinks may/may not be possible.
They did the show because they wanna start a family. They said it on the first episode. I can't wait for them to start one even they didn't make it through WOD. Teaching their kids to dance WOW IMAGINE THAT!
Currently watching Season 1 because I didn't have a chance to stay up with it yet. I'm really nervous with how the west coast community is going to be represented. I'm hoping that it was something you guys were happy with, at least.
I absolutely do not care about ABDC and WOD. For me Kinjaz are the champions and they gonna make it anyway and get really far too. I like great dance performances over too much acrobatics or frills. I like it simple and clean. They tell a story and they make music visual if you know what I mean. The emotions you feel when you watch them. You see all the hours of training they must have done to be so synchronized. They won my heart and I will support them till the end, cause these people are so damn talented. Love the Kinjaz ❤
I don't care if they lost
Kinjaz are my champion and will always be
DeAndre Monroe Yes!
DeAndre Monroe same
Les twins
Ep 2 coming later this week...
DaTong where does he discuss this? Interested in hearing it
TheKinjaz you guys are great

confirmed. Jabbas getting knocked out was a joke
Damn :(

Kevin Alexander Zariñana I think thunderschock knows that lol

Drew lmao It was too serious I bet if there was the jkfam so many perverted jokes would've been said
tyco pls Haha true true 😂😂
I am really happy that both Mari and Keone, and the Kinja's leads wanted to do this video. I am really tired of all the drama talk about who should have or would have whatever. Love watching interviews like this! Very insightful! Much love to you guys!
I feel like the kinjaz would of made it to the finals with Keone. He's such a big weapon. And also pat didn't say a word 😂
JeRawockee He looked so spaced out during all of it 😂❤
Such insight. Thank you. Makes me love the Kinjaz ~ values shine above all! Looking forward to watching you all THRIVE!! Kinjaz fan for life!
thank youuuu!
Why is everyone on the left side sitting the same way and everyone on the right side sitting the same way
Performance on how you position yourself in an interview... I love Vinh's position, rubbing the dogs belly🐕🐶❤❤❤❤

This is honestly awesome. 2 of the best groups together communicating getting to know their background. Awesome. Love from South Africa
I just need to see The Kinjaz win a competition, they deserve at least one. :(

Keone madrid sits like a kpop idol fit for a person that produces some of the best kpop choreos.
Gerard Bautista True true
Gerard Bautista lol kinjaz can do kpop choreos as well
Gerard Bautista Keone and Mari have done dope kpop choreographs like Shangri la by Vixx.

Respect 👊
Steezy Respect all fear none! 👊🐯
"Okay everyone find a comfortable position and put your left leg over your right"
Exactly lmao
The thing is the only reason they didnt make it to the finale was JLo tried to rig the show for swing latino since two dancers in that group work for her as back up dancers
I love that you guys are opening up to the fans! Excited to watch this :)
rooted for you guys for the whole time and enjoyed watching your journey. I wish you the best of luck in the future yall.
Am I the only one who didn't realize Kinjaz was 36 members?! I thought they were as big as the group they brought to WOD
Angie Liao Same! I thought they had less tbh 😅
Angie Liao- I've been subscribed to them since early 2016, they done a lot of videos on other members, like a couple of Poreotic members, Phil Garvin, Lawrence Kao, etc
Angie Liao Fun fact, Keone is also part of the Kinjaz
Umar Mushtaq oh that I knew
Angie Liao The kinjaz have that many members prob due to all of them being teachers. Kinjaz is technically a school organization so they should have a lot of teachers to teach kids many styles of dance

I love you guys with all my heart.
Even though they aren't champions, they are the people's champion.
Pat looks like the one guy in the group chat that just lurks while everyone discusses plans.
Love getting more background on your thought process. Thanks for sharing!
The commitment that you guys have with this group and brand is remarkable and I would really love to be apart of this family
@21:44 anthony became so interested in the talk lol
Wonderful and insightful interview. I can only imagine what would've happened if there were no divisions and Keone joined The Kinjaz at NBC WoD.
I miss your Kinjaz Convos😥, this reminds me a lot of the chilling Convos🐯🐯 Dear Kinjaz, best wishes💖
Pat just nodding his head HAHA
Raymond Tran Ikr the whole time he looked spaced out and was just nodding 😂😂
Keep Dancing! Keep the progress moving! Love it bro, Beautifully said
Anthony's gonna get roasted again by Bart
Anhdrew Pik Poor Anthony 😂❤
Anhdrew Pik- Fuck that nigga Bart
Matthew Davis why? When Bart does it Anthony doesn't care. He only cares when strangers do it because they aren't friends. It isn't just friendly banter at that point

pirou Ikr 😊😻
Thank you for choosing to do the show. I enjoyed every one of your performances. #FanForLife #KinjazBang #KeoneandMari
Your team is still the best !!!
So glad Anthony Lee specified what their "community" meant. I love Kinjaz but was feeling kinda like they were not very inclusive of different races/cultures. It was clouding my love for them. Glad I watched!
I think the more accurate question would be how did you lose?
Dion Vo We should ask the judges why did they lose these artistic dancers??? Showing different stories of their piece... Not just stunts and costumes... Their style lives on...
jlo bias towards swing latino, they already work with her
I wonder if there'll be behind the scenes vídeos from the set like they did for abdc?
Loving this already! Can't wait for the next episode! =)
Im still pissed
Mr.Clean Ditto, I guess
Get over it. Even though they aren't champions, they are the people's champion.
Kenny Omega that is true I guess, meh, who needs a dance competition to show who's the best dancer/dance group when they r already the best in our eyes!
Kenny Omega again you said kinjaz were second in the wod finals
jlo screw up for them, cause that B already had work with this swing latino crew
New drinking game : Take a shot for every time they say "like"
keone and mari will have a lovely kids

Christian Ramirez As per Anthony Lee "Its a journey." #RespectAllFearNone
YESSS!! More of these~~~
Maybe in the next episode you guys can talk about other groups and especially jabbawockeez. I know the next part might already had been recorded but would like to hear your thoughts about them and their elimination.
Kinjaz are the winner for all yours fans and the people how follow you (Kinjaz) Kinjaz are the best group dance in the world♥
I hope they talk about Mari becoming the first female Kinja, she’d be too perfect!
Can we get NappyTabs to get Vibrncy to shoot the show? I don't think the editors represented the dancers nor the performances very well.
dang imagine if Keone was with the kinjaz during the show
They did the show because they wanna start a family. They said it on the first episode. I can't wait for them to start one even they didn't make it through WOD. Teaching their kids to dance WOW IMAGINE THAT!
Do more Q&A like that, it's amazingly inspiring :o Love you all from France
Love this ❤️
thanks!
Like how the couch of the left all have their legs a certain way and the couch on the right all have their legs a certain way
I just learned a samba from vinhs roommate...... like 20 mins ago. He drove all the way from la to herriman utah to help our ballroomteam out

Love the Tom Misch track 'The Journey" playing in the background.
22:40 "We should've done it!!!" 😅😅😅
Currently watching Season 1 because I didn't have a chance to stay up with it yet. I'm really nervous with how the west coast community is going to be represented. I'm hoping that it was something you guys were happy with, at least.
I legit didn't notice the dog next to Vihn until the last 30 seconds
LEGEND ... PLEASEEEEE
Oh, I didn't know both World of Dances are related, I thought NBC World of Dance ripped off of WOD Lol
I would like to see the Kinjaz collab with Super Cr3w again like on ABDC
I absolutely do not care about ABDC and WOD. For me Kinjaz are the champions and they gonna make it anyway and get really far too. I like great dance performances over too much acrobatics or frills. I like it simple and clean. They tell a story and they make music visual if you know what I mean. The emotions you feel when you watch them.
