You should watch this in a live version. Its very powerful. The symbol means what you want it to mean.

Tyler always says stay alive, and his fans always tell it to each other. Their concerts at least to me are a celebration of life, we all made it this far and we will continue to stay alive and be there for each other! Great video :-) stay alive fren

Wow, you touched on a lot of things here, so to address just a few...
Tyler and the fans do say “stay alive” as a bit of a catchphrase to one another, as an encouragement. It goes back at least as far as the song Truce (final track from Vessel), which has the refrain “stay alive, stay alive for me.” It might go back further... some OG clique members might correct me there.
Also, the logo does mean something specific to Tyler, but it’s personal to him so he won’t share it. However, he says that to everyone it means Twenty One Pilots, the band and the community. At the end of almost every show he says “We are Twenty One Pilots, and so are you”. I just love the way these guys have built this identity of something bigger than themselves, which seeks to make people feel understood and welcome and part of a group which (mostly) cares for one another.
Thanks for another great reaction! I have some thoughts on how I interpret this song, but I think this one really speaks differently to different listeners.

So my interpretation is also a religious one. I think of the phrase "falling away from the church, or religion, belief whatever you want to call it.
Especially the line "And I'll try to delay what you make of my life
But I don't want your way
I want mine" I feel like he's speaking to God, telling him he doesn't want to follow the path that God has in mind for his life.
And the following part really speaks to me, especially "my crime is my sentence" if you think about when people make choices in their lives that have a negative outcome the choice they made turns into the negative outcome they have to experience because of it. So their crime turns into their sentence, with sentence meaning like jail or something of similar meaning.
But this whole section and even a bit after it I feel is full of religious undertones.
"Every time I feel selfish ambition
    Is taking my vision
And my crime is my sentence
    Repentance is taking commission
    It's taking a toll
    On my soul
    I'm screaming submission and,
I don't know if I am dying or living
    'Cause I will save face
    For name's sake
    Abuse grace"

I interpret it to mean not falling away from God...
