absolutely. Having driven in Japan, China, EU and UK, drivers in SG have this common trait:
    1. Impatient
    2. Me First Kiasu Mentality
    3. Signal light optional or used incorrectly
    4. Not following traffic rules
    5. Poor lane discipline

A lot of drivers in SG are extremely inpatient, ungracious, and unsafe. The way they speed and rush absolutely doesn’t make sense; Juxtapose the unsafe way they drive w the cost of a car locally, it makes it even more perplexing why Singaporean drivers drive as such.
My hypothesis is behavioral and psychological. many Singaporeans cannot afford a car yet choose to buy one. The roads then become the only outlet to release their frustrations in life, which is extremely counterintuitive but is an actual behavioral phenomenon when they do not know better on how to cope w streess

I think I relate to Desmond a lot! Just give way & we’ll all be on our way in a jiffy. I also believe that by giving way, some day some one will do the same for me hopefully if I am ever caught in an awkward situation. We’re a small country so we should always look out & help one another.

these are quite common and irritating in singapore:
    1. people close gap when you signal to change lane
    2. there’s ample of space and u signal and change into the lane. the driver behind in slow speed unhappy and flash light at you
    3. road hogging on lane 1

Btw can we follow japans way of using double hazard light as a thank you! It will definitely help makes a person day to realise giving way is definitely a nice thing to do

Yes it's true. I'm on the road every day for 10 hours. 70% of drivers are kiasu or have no social grace. They don't signal and likes to road hog.

I am a Singaporean. I don't understand why has this become such a hot topic. I think the statement about us being bad drivers is not quite a fair statement. We need to take into considerations of that before criticizing us. We have drivers who are Singaporeans, on work pass, neutralized Singaporeans or even some who got their PR-ship can only own a SG registered car.
I am just wondering how do those people classify Singaporeans as being the worst drivers in the world just because when there are drivers not giving way or not being friendly? Is there a sign stated "I am a Singaporean" on their forehead, on their cars?
Look at this video. ruclips.net/video/a29zwsSQXBQ/видео.html. If i based on this video, can I also say China has the worst drivers? Does that earn everyone the right to comment these drivers in such a way? End of the day it's individual behaviour....not Singaporeans.
    C'mon people........move on.......
Not all drivers in Singapore are bad....I am sure there are many people (Singaporeans or not) are more than willing to give way. Trust me, with COE at $106K/ $150K (as at 18/10/2023), getting into accident is the last thing we want to happen.
Lastly, everyone driving on the road, please don't expect entitlement or privilege just because you signal or other drivers not giving way.....You own safety awareness and best judgement to get yourself out of a stressful traffic situation is the best solution.
It is the same here, it is the same in any country

Lots of singaporean vehicles are train in jam when you go to JB. Try giving way more than once when entering JB or coming back and you will be horn by car behind and also there are lots of cars trying to queue cutting

Speedsters: late for work tats why they are workers. Boss no time line 1.
Lane cutters: DSN. Drivers with special needs. Pity them lor.
Hoggers: poor driver….eyesight no good already.
    Chiong traffic lights: 你走先,不要等我。
HitnRun: iwitness…..here I come. Wait for police to call u.
P platers: I love them. Most courteous and safe drivers. Model for all of the above mentioned 😂

I have many years experience driving different part of the world and more than 30 years in Singapore.
Yes, it’s getting worst, most common one….., 1) more people don’t give way when people signal, 2) people signal but don’t accelerate to change lane. 3) at uncontrol situation, don’t know how to give way to each alternate car to smoothen the jam

Drive car in SG always got road hoggers and those lane cutters. But but but hor the worst isn't that kinda of drivers. The worst ones are the hit and run people sibei jia lat. Imagine you park your car go have nice makan at your favorite hawker centre then comeback 15 mins see your car buang. The person hit your car run away lew lew.
    No integrity one sial.

Simple fix. Signal and wait for 1 to 3 cars to pass you. Then short horn 2 times or 3 times before making the lane change, checking that car behind on the lane u wanna filter to slowed down.

I think u guys miss a point ~ in big countries, filtering to exit a jam, these people see it as an viable option. But Singapore, if U miss this turn, take the next one; U will not be 10-20 km off your destination.
The worst drivers I experienced are Malaysians ~ on a double right turn lanes; the car on the outermost lane can do a U turn; whilst U on the innermost right turn/u-turn lane has to stop to avoid a collision.
