How to shop for fluorescence I don’t see it written on James Allen site
it definitely seems like this tactic is the way to go to get a larger diamond for a more affordable price! In average lighting conditions, you can barely see the yellow with the human eye which is super surprising for a color M diamond! All one sees is a beautiful, massive diamond ring! 😁
Exactly!!! That is why I went for a lower color cause I knew I couldnt afford this big if not 😂 but I am happy with how it looks in person. Don’t get me wrong though some m colors can be very yellow but you’ll just have to compare!

I know it’s been awhile since you posted this, but I’m currently looking at upgrading from a 2ct to a little under 3! I have a CZ that I’m trying out currently and the stone looks humongous to me, so I’m worried that I’d feel a little self conscious while wearing it, but I know shrinkage is real (my 2 feels so small now, lol) Did you feel that it took some time to adjust to the size of your stone? I figure your size 5 with a 2.25 would be similar to my size 6 with almost a 3 :)
Girl I 100 % feel you on the shrinkage I would love a 3ct also 😂😂 but no I didn’t need to adjust to it or anything l. I promise you won’t regret it 3 ct is big but not over the top!
I have a M VS excellent cut /polish it is 3 carats my ring size is 4 1/2 ☺️. It was tough my husband could have gotten me a vvs 2.5 carat in a better color. I love my 3 carats!!!

is pretty but dosent sparkle so much. flur in diamond preventes the lights from entering and refflecting light and sparkle... it is like a paint on diamond. you always want diamond free of fluroence for jewelry.....
I always suggest too anyone never go below j color with excellent -ideal cut. Yours is a beauty though. I also suggest too purchase lab instead of mind and you can get a beautiful f color at crazy low price
I love yellow diamond and I don’t get why most are obsessed with colorless.
I got the same setting but I’m having a hard time deciding to keep it or not 😅 I feel it sits too high.. but I like how it sits flush next to my wedding ring.. I’m afraid if I get something lower there will be space between them.. but also I keep bumping it on stuff (my diamond is 1.30 karat) but still it sits high 😅
So the setting I had right before this one there was a gap in between and it annoyed me so bad!! I can deal with this one setting higher more than I could that gap LOL 😂 you can always return it if the gap bothers you.. only down fall is the process takes a while

I keep going back to your videos just to see how high up your setting is. I love my setting because it sits low. I'm in the medical field so I donn/doff the gloves all the time. But I'm just not sure if that is worth the trouble. At the same time, I don't want my wedding ring (haven't bought it) to clash againts the prongs since it sits too low if you know what I mean. I legit want to go to JA's headquarters to try on a bunch of settings and wedding bands lol
I know exactly what you mean :) if you go watch my anniversary band video I have a couple of their bands and the contour fits super low! In my opinion I wouldn’t wear your ring to work since it can loosen the prongs over time. When I start working as an RN I plan on wearing a solid gold band :) or the silicon !

Me too ♥️ Trading up my D color for a warmer tone. I just can’t decide I J or K and well seems like so many choices these days on settings. But it’s interesting every time they try to show me a whiter or high color grade like I didn’t choose the yellower warm in purpose.

@@PeggyPearlB platinum setting and doing pave stones. Thought wanted halo but wasn’t sure if that would clash with the ring stone. Been reading all the crazy. Everyday I find something else that contradicts something I learned the day before. First trying to decide the stone then if I want the band I picked. So many options. Lol

Thank you so so much and honestly it took me a while to find this ring as well I just kept going back to their site because they are always getting more in and I kept speaking with a consultant and they really helped me find a good one! Right now is a really good time to be looking because the diamonds are 3% off which never happens as well as whatever sale they are running right now

Flourescence it a major detrement to the value of the diamond....you will find that the stone looks 'milky' when you go out into the sun. The South Koreans and many other Asians view the flourescence as 'Bad luck'.
How long does it took the return? I returned a diamond and a choose another but is taking forever. Is been 10 days no refunds.
So it takes at least a month esp if the diamond you selected has to be sent to their ware house .. once they get your return you should be refunded in a about a week. The process all in all could be longer cause of COVID. You could always call them !

What do you recommend for a 1.50 carat round? J or k? Vs1 or vs2
Both vs1 and vs2 will be eye clean :) and honestly you’ll probably have more diamond options going with a k. Just make sure you look at the images and videos to see the amount of yellow

First off radiant is very beautiful that was my second choice the only thing I can say for other diamond shapes aside from round I would pick a higher color for them because they tend to hold color a little different ! I probably wouldn’t pick under a j or I

Hmm, the filters on the James Allen site only went to k, in color. Maybe, they have changed it. Could you tell me the actual dimensions of your stone? They can all look so different even if they are the same carats. Yours is exactly visually what I’m looking for.

Were you looking for a lab created diamond? Or a different shape? I’ve noticed they only have the L and M colors for natural diamonds in the round shape. I want an L-M pear shape but I’ve been looking at other websites
I want to know too. I haven’t been able to find many places that go below J and maybe K but never seen options for L or M. Thanks good question.
If you go on James Allen website make sure you are on earth mined. The earth mined go to m in color. Lab created go to K. Most of the lab created are certified through lgl, which isn’t as strict, so in reality the lab created will be much lower on the scale than a Gia certified, which is what most of the earth mined are.
@@kms1062 so I have wondered that seem mixed reviews so a I color would be more like a J mined color? And is that for clarity also? I wanted a lab created but not sure. I looked at maybe a moissanite but it’s more rainbows and blue colorless so wasn’t what I was looking for... so hard to tell online. Thank you!

It’s just the amount of florescence that is in the diamond it ranges strong being the most

@@thepraterfam5895 I heard that on white gold the M color gives an evident yellow tint. It does not show that way in your video. Would you agree? I am planning to get an M round cut solitaire on Platinum for my wife and was wondering if there would be an evident yellow tint visible on the ring for M color diamond with platinum metal.
So from what I’ve been told and have experienced myself having a white gold setting appears to make the diamond whiter cause of the reflection. Whenever you have a yellow gold setting your eye tends to focus on the yellow metal vs the actually yellow in the stone if that makes sense ? I would recommend a white gold setting since I had both I felt a yellow gold shows more of the yellow and the diamond versus the one I have now
@@ya18101985 Yes, I recommend getting platinum setting because yellow gold does give the yellow tone. If you live near a Jared-, they showcase JA rings in store and you can definitely notice a difference with the yellow gold.

I saw that some lab created can have a brown hue and wasn’t sure. Well they always say about a month but I got mine in about 2-3 weeks.. even past orders about the same.. just depends where you diamond is coming from. But it’s never been longer than a month!
