    I think this car seat is absolutely incredible. We have the Doona right now, but once my baby gets older, we will be getting this.

      I read this car seat is good until 6 years of age, but also no expiration date so other kids can use it (as long as no history of car accident). I’m undecided, not sure which car wear to get for the next stage …

      @@patpatmoomoo5524 you realise EVERY seat is the same for no history of accidents if using second hand, thats why its such a bad idea to buy from an unknown person second hand but if you know that seats not been dropped or in an accident and its your own seat, you'd have no issues reusing

    Great video! What are other contenders for the safest convertible car seats today in your opinion?

    I upgraded from the nuna pipa lite rx (as recommended to us by magic beans staff in store) to this seat and we love it!
    One favorite feature is that the seat lining can be completely removed and thrown into the washer.
    The only thing I would change is at this price point, I would have wanted the seat lining to be GOTS certified organic cotton opposed to polyester.

      Cotton is too flammable. Clek and Nuna have really nice merino wool covers, and that’s what I wish Babyark used. Still, much more comfortable than the Clek foonf mammoth, even with the inferior fabric.

    All that technology is really cool but the safest car seat is the one that installed correctly.
    That convertible car seat is $990 and an extra base is $490 ……for a car seat that will get you to age 4ish and then need to be replaced.
    Personally I think it’s cool but is soooooo over the top extra that it’s unrealistic for 99% of buyers

      Not exactly true. Yes, all car seats in America pass FMVSS 213, and all car seats are safe, but there are car seats that have enhanced safety features like the Baby Ark. At no time in this video did I claim that this is the safest car seat. In fact, BabyArk is no longer making this claim either. Also, they offer 0% financing for 12 months which enables you to get this for $82 a month.

    • @alexandermacphearson4379
      @alexandermacphearson4379 4 месяца назад +2

      @@MagicBeansVideos I would argue that safety starts at proper install and proper fit and harness fit. Then you add extra features like ride down protections and steel reinforcement, etc
      This is just me but for that price tag I would rather have a pair of Britax One4Life seats. They are extremely similar in their safety extra features and it can be used much much longer. Not to mention ton for the same price I get a seat for each parents vehicle.
      Don’t get me wrong. The Babyark is beautiful, well crafted, and loaded with awesome features. I just think a $1,000 Convertible car seat is unreasonable in its pricing

      @@MagicBeansVideos did they stop making the safest car seat on earth claim because there is a car seat that was proven safer in a crash test? If so which car seat is that?

    • @MagicBeansVideos
      @MagicBeansVideos  3 месяца назад

      @julieathome6965 no, it is actually does perform the best in crash tests, but still safest is nevertheless to some extent subjective. I believe it’s among the safest and has the most extensive safety feature set.

      @@julieathome6965 “Safest” has much more to do with the install and child fit. Which the manufacturer has no control over.
      This car seat has every top end safety feature offered in a car seat. Ridge Latch. Anti-rebound technology. Ride-Down crush support all on top of standard safety features.
      My big objection is the price.

      if you go the babyark website, they have some stats.

      not exactly sure what you mean by safety rating, but the babyark outperforms every car seat on the market in the reports that I've seen.

    chest clip doesnt look very effective. also looks like any toddler would be able to undo it. what is the height and weight limit?

    • @MagicBeansVideos
      @MagicBeansVideos  4 месяца назад

      The chest clip is completely effective. Remember, the chest clip is a pre-crash positioner . If not the actual mechanism that keeps the child in the car seat in the crash. Weight limit 65 pounds - height limit 49 inches.

      @@julieathome6965 you can watch this on chest clips, instagram.com/reel/C5w71NaRs02/?igsh=MXd1Z29waWFobzIwNQ== but this chest clip is perfectly safe - and not easy for a child to unclip. They wouldn’t have used this clip and it wouldn’t have been approved if it were unsafe.

      @@MagicBeansVideos thanks! I just watched the video, but it still doesn’t help with the scenario I’m thinking of, where I’m driving along and my baby undoes the magnetic chest clip herself, allowing for the shoulder straps to slide off her shoulders pre crash. But if you are saying it’s very hard to undo maybe that scenario wouldn’t happen, it must be an extremely strong magnet? Is that strong of a magnet safe to be near a child’s chest ?

    Not impressed with the car seat. Didn't secure well to the seat, and the straps are a big pain to adjust the chest clip and do the pinch test on. The "100 day return, no hassle, no questions" is false as well. They try very hard to get you to keep it, when you finally get past that, they send you a return label, tell you they will refund your money 30 days after seat is returned less the shipping that I am responsible for. This was not indicated anywhere. Do not recommend.

      Thanks for that info. I’m still researching and would love to learn how it fits in vehicles of different makes. Also what car seat did you buy after all? Thanks
