Lethal Highway actually works as an amazing boost level because of all the long corridors. Though Generations is a little more platforming based rather than straight blazing through corridors like in Unleashed. Which is why Shadow 05’s Lava Shelter or Digital Circuit would be a perfect fit for Shadow Gens.
I want Digital Circuit. I like Lava Shelter a lot but a lot of it is rail grinding which is Rail Canyon’s job. Digital Circuit is a concept that hasn’t been explored as much. A digital realm. Or at the very least in Gens. Hell, could relate to cyberspace from Sonic Frontiers.
It's crazy how Sonic Team made a whole campaign for Shadow yet they didn't include a single level from his Game, missed potencial but hey that's why we have the modding community
It really sucks Westopolis wasn’t in this game. Or some level of Shadow 05. Shadow 05’s graphical presentation I think most of us can agree is pretty ugly. But I think with the limits of the time they do make you feel a war between humanity and aliens is going on. You got beams clashing from the sky, aliens all over and giant alien aircrafts. It was a huge missed opportunity with the graphics they’re capable of now to turn a Shadow the Hedgehog level in to something with it’s full potential realized.
agreed we do need more DLC but I would prefer black comment to be the level that represents shadow 05 because we already have sunset heights and radical highway and those two are already city levels and I feel like a third city level would just be a little much but westopolis it’s fine if we get it for DLC and especially for sonic generations There’s so much potential for DLC in sonic and shadow generations and the only DLC we got in the original sonic generations is pinball minigame DLC which sucked well It didn’t entirely suck the music freaking slaps in that DLC

I think this would work amazingly as the final stage setting & narrative wise. Execution and layout would need to be overhauled. But I do like how the stage starts eerily empty. I think that’s a cool factor to a final level

Seeing the Iblis enemies, it's incredible to think how the game would've turned out if the 06's enemies had debuted in Shadow like the concept art say.

Misconception or not, Shadow The Hedgehog technically is not a mainline game which could have contributed to why there was no level from that game. So how did Black Doom get in Shadow Generations? He could have been in Sonic Adventure 2 to begin with working with Gerald. This is the problem with franchises going multiverse and time travel. It could be rewritten however it wants leaving major confusion and nonsense.
Respectfully I think you’re the only one with a misconception. Shadow is mainline. But Not Mainline ≠ non canon anyway. The true ending of Shadow the hedgehog is canon. Many events in that game did actually happen & affect the overall story. Whether you call it mainline or not, it did happen.
Honestly, the Modern Generations (Unleashed) mechanics are the best in the franchise because the way Sonic moves feel natural. And I especially love the addition of the drift and the hop because they’re very useful for preserving his momentum while boosting in windy roads and overcoming bumps, respectively. I’m a bit saddened that the developers didn’t incorporate this into Shadow Generations, but at least they make up for it with amazing level design

Sonic X shadow generation is an amazing game however it’s so crazy that there no level from shadow the hedgehog .
They should added more levels for shadow and boss fights more as well.

I have a feeling that the Shibuya stage from the Sonic movie 3 DLC pack might be based on Westapolis.
