He is so sweet. He adapted to his new home as soon as he was out of the carrier and started to follow us everywhere.. like EVERYWHERE.. and he wants to play all the time! He has so much energy. It even makes me think whether I should get a second kitty. It is hard to work, eat or shower 😅 because he wants to be there with you and play with you all the time 😂
My kitten is a year old now! She’s awesome, a RagDoll I got last year at RagdollCatSpot in NY/PA. I watched your videos a lot to help for care, thank you!!!
Oh for sure! I just got an 8w/o little girl 2 weeks ago, and the first week she would definitely speak like if she didn't got the opportunity to do it before heheheh
My kitty is almost a year old.. he is so food motivated there wouldn’t even be time for another cat to swap bowls with him bc it’s all gone! I also bought him a treat puzzle to make snacks a brain game and to get him to slow down… he has now figured out he can just tip the whole thing over and have all the treats at once 🤯🙃 The boy gets three raw meals a day and treats but still acts like we starve him. He’s also wormed regularly, the vets have come to the conclusion that he just really likes food. Anyways your cats seem much more calm about food that mine 😂😂😂
Hey Amber, Thank you for your comments. I have a 10 month Ragamuffin. We give him high-quality dry food, I don't remember the names of all 3 types of food that we mix. One of them is Royal Canine. If I may ask, how did you start your cats on raw food? What meats do you use? Do you grind bones up and mix with the raw food. I read bones help their teeth. idk if the boned are ground into a fine powder or more coarse or if the bones scrape the cats teeth or if the powder becomes calcium, then it is absorbed in their stomach. Do you freeze the meats for a few weeks to kill any parasites? Do you have any other suggestions for a first-time cat dad? My kitty Ollie is my lil partner, and I love him so much. Thank you in advance for your time and consideration.

The breeder I got my kitty from already had them on a BARF diet and here in Australia we actually have butcher shops specifically dedicated to making food for cats and dogs so I’ve never had to make it myself. The meals I feed my cat only have small pieces of bone, I do give a small amount of dental biscuits daily to help keep his teeth clean, though I do think if a cat is on a BARF diet they are less likely to have dental problems as the food is cleaner? I think transitioning them to raw food should be done the same way as changing their diet to anything else. Just make sure you’re keeping up with their worming treatments as I think that’s the only thing that could really make them unwell as they transition. I find getting advice from vets can be difficult as they will only recommend the food they stock at the clinic (usually).. so just try finding resources online and compare them all to find the common denominators. I think this RUclips channel might have an old video about it and there might also be information on the Jackson Galaxy channel as well! Hope this was helpful.
Considering this breed but I don't want a cat like a balinese temperament, I want a super cuddly love bug. Are yours more independent or do they come to you to cuddle on your lap
Everything I've read states that Ragdolls are cuddly and not independent. In fact they shouldn't be left alone for long. Mine is about 3 months now. She is very affectionate and playful. I will get a male next month. I chose this breed because they are so affectionate.
So, do you find your ragdoll to be protective???? I read about a guy who said someone kept knocking on his door, a drug addict and kept sitting outside his door. He let his ragdoll out and the kitty "messed the person up". Also, I had a neighbor ragdoll. She came over and searched my place for me. I was coming home from work, but thought I'd had an intruder. She sensed I was panicked and beat me to my door, with her owner in tow. Her owner said the ragdoll suddenly started digging her way out at the door, demanding to get out. When I came in the front entrance, the ragdoll was already at my door digging, demanding to get in my place. Her owner was like, "What's going on?!" I said, "Idk! I suddenly had the creeps." Realized later that I'd seen someone rush away from my door when I came home the previous day, it was a different neighbor that had gotten ahold of the master key. Couldn't prove it, but the cat searched my place and I felt safe. I think she heard and smelled the wrong person near my door and was pi#$$ed. 😂

I bought a Catit circus for my kitten and his rarely interested in it he much prefer a paper ball or a paper bag handle lol!
