Hey Aaron! Does Leo demand to go outside everyday? I wanna take my ragdoll kitten outside but I’m worried that he won’t want to stay inside anymore if I do 🤔
Not an issue for me, sometimes I think he is bored and meows at the front door but this happens very rarely, maybe once every few weeks. Even with our balcony, as it is winter now we keep the door shut most of the time and he doesn't demand to go out onto the balcony. Have you gotten your new ragdoll yet? :)
@@aazimmermann yes I got him and he looks exactly like Leo when he was little 😍 I have another older cat she was an indoor cat for 4 years but recently I took her outside because I felt bad for her and now she demands to go outside every evening without missing one day and it can be so exhausting. That’s why I became a little hesitant to take my ragdoll kitten outdoors. I thought that maybe it would be difficult to handle two cats 🙈
@@idk189 I can understand how that would be exhausting, especially if taking her outside requires your supervision. I think you could get your older cat to become indoor only again if you wanted to but it would require some work, for example you could try completely ignoring her demands to go outside, it's not easy but after several days she might stop. Another idea is to get some sort of outdoor enclosure that allows her to explore outside in a safe way without your supervision. I guess I am lucky that I don't have this behavior with Leo. Hope you enjoy your new ragdoll and he gets along with your older lady :)
@@idk189 you need to exercise some caution if your cat is friendly re letting them outdoors. I have a friend whose cat is now obese because the neighbors overfeed him. he has not been able to lose the weight and they couldn't care less about his health

@evawinteru Thank you so much, glad you enjoy the video. I think you'll love either breed of cat, Birmans have a lovely temperament but if course a lot comes down to the invidual cat as there is a lot of individual differences.
My Ragdoll is the opposite, he doesn't follow you, you follow him, or he's sure to let the whole house know he needs to be followed. He's also very skittish from strangers and unknown noises. And he likes to sleep on the bed.
I started cracking up when you were calling him and he blatantly ignored you because my Ragdoll does the same thing, they have so much attitude for being such a cute cotton ball
My absolutely favorite part/thing is when he “crab-walks” (near the elevator in the garage) around 5:13. I adore it! 😻 Can’t get enough of it, I can watch that all day. 😹🤣❤️
So I also do this other thing with him where I get on all fours and slowly crawl up to him in a threatening manner and he arches his back up at me and tries to scare me off, it's too funny! Maybe I'll make a video of it one day.
It is adorable! My baby boy Ragdoll, Loki does this a lot (especially when he sees himself in a mirror) and its hysterical! They think they're so scary when they do this! 😂
I communicate to my cat in a similar way. I have trained him to understand about 50 words/phrases. If he wants food, water or treats, i say "kitty food" a couple of time, then kitty water and lastly treats. He will paw high five me when i say the right thing. He will also come 100% of the time if I call his name. It took us 5 or so years, but now he can communicate any need to me.
@@Fiskgjusen lol, you might be able to train a cat to fake operating a desk calculator...but that might be even hard for a movie cat. Start by tapping on a higher surface, say "up up". Give a treat if the cat does it. Next step is to say "up up", no tapping. Then get it to where you point at something higher and say "up up". Once you treat train, you can replace the treat with a short petting or brushing. Using 2 words at once seems easiest for my cat to understand. Either double a word or the same word twice. Now spend 10 more years hanging out with your cat and teaching it 😀 I don't use a clicker as I do it with my throat, much easier as the cat is focusing on you and not a clicker. I had a rescue rag doll , looked just like Leo, she was hard work. Didn’t like being brushed, would bite me, got lots of knots I had to cut off! Then she also had toilet issues , I’d say from having 4 owners after her 12 years with one owner , I tried for over a year to get her trust, but I couldn’t clean her mess up anymore! She would walk into a room and just use it as her toilet, despite having 4 clean trays in the house. So I’d love to follow your beautiful Leo. You are good cat parents.
You did an amazing thing to try and care for that first rescue. great editing and pace! with this kind of content and this level of quality you're bound to have hundreds of thousands of subs in a matter of months in my humble opinion! keep it up mate!
Thank you mate 🙂
Love it! Beautiful family! 🐾
5:26 Yes! My ragdoll cat does this as well
My cats do this too, also around their food area after eating. It's to keep bigger predators from smelling them
5:24 they do this because in the wild feral cats cover their waste or food remains to hide the smell from their predators
Oh interesting, that does make sense. Thank you 🙂
@@aazimmermann your welcome !:)
Lovely ragdoll . Makes me wish I had one. The landlord said no pets ☹️
Our landlord said the same thing
Hey Az leo such a cute cat georgeous
My Ragdoll Luna ,does the same thing , I'm glad she is not the only one with the toilet scratching thing .. she also does it with food sometimes.lol .. , I thought how bizzare, maybe it's a ragdoll thang x
Seems to be a ragdoll thing for sure 🙂
Oh" how I Love ❤all cats to me they are all babies they are so smart.
He’s adorable! What a sweetheart. God bless you for treating this baby with so much love and respect. You’re a major credit to pet lovers everywhere.
Thank you so much 🙏🙏
This is the first time I’ve seen a rag doll cat and OMG he’s beautiful! 😍💖
My Ragdoll cat does that outside his litter box every time! lol
5:30. My cat would do that when he wants to bury his business, but not outside of the litter box.
He mews, he purrs he sleeps shit n eat, good life indeed
Haha my kitty also does that after pooping in his litter, theres a metal rod near the box to avoid slipping and he scratches on it making noise. That gives me the signal that the boy has done the deed!
Maybe he is trying to command you to clean up his litter immediately hehe 😛
@@aazimmermann HAHA i guess so 😂
What an unusual way to feed a cat. But, hey, he probably never wakes you up in the morning to meow for food, o there's that.
I agree it's weird but you're spot on, I no longer get woken up in the morning 😁
Best bed ever 🤗😻 looks so cosy 💜
YES my cat paws at the litter box every time they are done...doing their business
Yep I have 2 cats they both continue to bury their kitty litter tray contents etc outside of tray .Love the "spook him" lol
One cat buries her food after she's had her fill.( like a dog)
beautiful cat 💌
How is it that 5pm is the first meal? My cats follow a “human” schedule 😂
I used to feed him in the morning but he demanded to be fed earlier and earlier until his 8am feed became 11pm the previous day 😅
@@aazimmermann 😂😂
5:25 and here I thought I was the only one. I dont have a Ragdoll but my Cat Loki always loves to go to the liter box, finishes and then scratches AROUND the litter box lol kind of annoying but cute.
5:26 Yeah mine do it too, but I have enclosed litter boxes so they do it on the walls of those.
Also the litter box seems a little small, my cats are smaller than Leo and have litter boxes roughly 1.5 times as big and even
then one sometimes "doesn't hit". But if Leo is fine with it that's probably okay.
I had lots of comments about the size of his litter tray from this video so I purchased him a larger one 🙂
5:30 yes my cat does this every time she uses the litter box and has for 8 years.
Love this kitty! Leo is very smart.. 💕
Thanks Nancy ❤️
Your kitty is sooo beautiful. You show what a good time you can have by including kitty with what you do. They love it.☺️✌️
Thanks Chu ❤️ Leo certainly enjoys being included, cats are sophisticated animals 🙂
MINE SLEEPS UNDER THE COVERS WHEN SUNLIGHT COMES THRU THRU HAS 2 POMS SHE ENJOYS ALWAYS LOVE SO AFFECTIONATE AND SMART
my raggies also do that scratching thing after doing their necessities must be in their DNA to cover up their acts. Leo is gorgeous.
Amazing how their behaviours are built into their DNA 🙂
this is so normal and relatable for me ... I have a snowshoe siamese...
My cat Maya is so spoiled she has 2 cat friends Dusty and Felix that live on the same apartment floor. They all visit each other every day and hang out.
Maya is quite the extrovert :)
Leo is really beautiful ! He has a good life, for sure ; )
This cat looks like a sacred Birman as we call it in Europe
if I start taking him out for a walk every day, will he get used to it and look for her?
Yes possibly. If I take my cat out routinely he will get used to it and start expecting to be taken out at the same time every day.
Cats very nice and very beautiful and very happy 🐈
Wow, he is gorgeous!!! And he clearly lives the good life 😉
It's so good you take your cat on a walk. It can be very dangerous (more then other breeds) to be let outside as they're more susceptible to predators
I agree
I notice minimal vociferousness similar to my blue eyed siamix. Extremely intelligent cat.
I don't mind following this ragdoll's lifetime with my lifetime
I love him, he is so beautiful, I’m jealous!!!!!
the cat has a much better life than i do.
we how long it took for him to get all chocolate?
About 1.5 years. When he was younger he was almost 100% white.
My guy looks like Harry from Home Alone 2 after the bathroom scene. I wouldn't get anything done if such a beauty was in my vicinity :3
