Thanks for this, it helps me sort out different versions. There's economic and logistic logic behind iterative change (as with the M4 Sherman). The progression to the M60s I flew over at Hohenfels and during REFORGER make more sense now.

I'm always kinda annoyed that the US decided to just call their tanks Patton 4 times in a row. At least the British gave it a good half-century before reusing Challenger, and the Germans waited a while before reusing Panther lol
