The 287(g) program, as part of the Immigration and Nationality Act, allows U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to delegate certain immigration officer functions to state and local law enforcement officers. This includes the authority to identify, process, and potentially remove noncitizens who have committed criminal offenses and are deemed removable under U.S. immigration law.
The current plan to use the 287(g) program for deportations would likely involve expanding the program’s reach and ensuring that state and local law enforcement agencies are actively participating in the identification and processing of undocumented immigrants for deportation.
There are 6,000 ICE agents, 3,000 sheriffs, and 800,000 local police officers, so versus 40 million illegal aliens, deporting them ALL is very possible.
Under U.S. law, specifically 8 U.S. Code § 1325, it is illegal to enter the United States at any place other than a designated port of entry, to evade immigration checks, or to attempt to enter with false or misleading information.
Since the passing of the Immigration and Reform Control Act (IRCA) in 1986, the U.S. has enacted seven (8) amnesties for illegal aliens:
1. IRCA, 1986: A blanket amnesty for approximately 2.7 million illegal aliens.
2. Section 245(i) Amnesty, 1994: A temporary rolling amnesty for 578,000 illegal aliens.
3. Section 245(i) Extension Amnesty, 1997: An extension of the 1994 amnesty.
4. Nicaraguan Adjustment and Central American Relief Act (NACARA) Amnesty, 1997: An amnesty for nearly one million illegal aliens from Central America.
5. Haitian Refugee Immigration Fairness Act Amnesty (HRIFA), 1998: An amnesty for 125,000 illegal aliens from Haiti.
6. Late Amnesty, 2000: An amnesty for certain illegal aliens who claimed they should have been amnestied under the 1986 IRCA, affecting an estimated 400,000 individuals.
7. LIFE Act Amnesty, 2000: A reinstatement of the rolling Section 245(i) amnesty for an estimated 900,000 illegal aliens.
8. Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA): Implemented in 2012, DACA has provided temporary protection from deportation and work authorization to approximately 800,000 young unauthorized immigrants who were brought to the U.S. as children.
These amnesties have collectively legalized about 7 million illegal aliens. It’s important to note that the term “amnesty” in this context refers to the granting of legal status to individuals who were previously in the country without authorization.
My family came from the Philippines. We WAITED until we were granted Green Cards to immigrate here.
There are currently an estimated 40-60 million illegal aliens in the U.S. now.
DACA won't work now.
None of these amnesties have worked.

its a FAILED CULTURE. all 66+ largest cities are run by 12 families. You cannot be a most wealthiest country and the most homeless country at the same time. and blame the guy who just got here.
There is a whole "hidden in plain sight" infrastructure that service these guys. They get vehicles, insurance, loans, registration. And this isn't off back in some crime neighborhood. This is downtown and the suburban areas. There is shop that does vehicle registration and all they look at is insurance. It's set up for them is why. Right across the street from a hospital. Ambulances, police, and security are parked there, so I know THEY know.
It's not illegal to do those things while not being a citizen. It doesn't have to be a secret.
I am a U.S. citizen by birth. Yet, I often do not get chosen to work at my job during the slow periods, but the undocumented immigrants who bought their Social Security Numbers and their Green Cards do. Some of those illegal immigrants have bragged about how easy it was to buy their fake documents at MacArthur Park or The Alameda Swap Meet, both in Los Angeles. Our employer never even holds the fake (nor the real) documents in their hands. Just providing a picture of the documents is good enough for them. I don't think that they even E-Verify.
This is the British Empire which treats us as slave labor, suppressing our wages. All we have been dealing with since the beginning has been the British Empire. I feel as though at my workplace, the non-English speaking Hispanics don't want anyone else working there. I feel as though they conspire together to make everyone except them look like bad workers. It makes me very angry because I'm nothing but kind to people (well most of the time lol), and they don't really care. They often seem to resent anyone who is not of their race and their culture and their language...
Problem is... non-English speaking hispanics have absolutely flooded the working class so that practically any "entry level" warehouse or manufacturing job is nearly all Latin immigrants who don't speak English. How am I supposed to my job effectively if I can't communicate and others are refusing to properly communicate to me?

They play the victim card. I saw this at my last job when this family who had monopolized the kitchen (the boss probably did that on purpose not only because they're cheap labor, but also to protect his "trade" secrets (because nobody besides the Hispanic family was allowed to do the deep work in that kitchen. We were relegated to the "help".) brought in one of their relatives fresh from Mexico, spoke no English.... and for like two weeks, he played dumb and innocent, but then he did an about face like it was all an act and he strarted becoming hostile and bitter at everyone. I can't tell you how many times he gave me the death stare for no reason.
My remaining family are all liberals, and when I complained about it, they called me racist, and when I finally got fired after that because I stood up to the boss and told him what he was doing wasn't right (that was one among many thing), I was blamed again by my family who told me that I should just shut my mouth and do my job.
I have a disability that already makes it hard to work and communicate even regularly, and with these people taking over all the job markets I have access to, all I'm ever able to be is the little bitch of these immigrants. It's very upsetting because I already felt self-conscious and questioned my abilities, and suddenly in the past few years, I have to deal with that times 100 because of illegal immigration.

My ex husband came here illegally He tricked me with his charm we had 2 kids before I turned 20 couldn’t help him with his legal status because at the time I had to work 2 jobs and take care of the kids, home and him. Plus him constantly getting in trouble with the law. So he’s still here illegally. I’m embarrassed at how naive I was. After years of tolerating him because I wanted our kids to have stability so bad. I finally divorced him in 2017 at 27. I’m 33 now and can’t seem to get away from his constant harassment towards the kids and I. have a restraining order he doesn’t respect. He doesn’t help with the kids just shows up drunk every few months wanting to see the kids and start arguments with us. My kids are constantly disappointed with his empty promises of “change” The man has Domestic violence, a hit and run, an assault case. And 3 days ago got his 3rd DUI. We live in Aurora CO. I don’t understand how he is still in the country. He laughs and says he’ll never leave.

Do you even have a minimal understanding of how your migration laws work? Why do you talk so much about that “they broke the law”, breaking the law is something that americans by themselves have done with native territory, why nobody that talks about migration complains about that? Most of immigrants are doing dirty jobs, no illegal immigrant lives on luxury or even a decent life.

I've known plenty of illegal immigrants, and one in particular commits massive tax evasion and regularly drink and drives. Sadly, this happened in California, so the consequences weren't severe.
So essentially, being a “citizen” no longer means anything in the USA. makes me very pissed at every person who came here illegally. My mother immigrated here legally from Europe after WW2. It was hard , but She earned the right to be called a citizen by first respecting the laws of entering it.

To be honest, they get Social Security numbers before they even become immigrants. Some of them avoid that because they don’t want to be on the radar but it’s just the fact that the government doesn’t enforce the laws. You shouldn’t work here unless you have a work visa or you are a citizen. We need a system that will immediately alert the government when someone has overstayed a visa. I am a natural born American citizen but I have citizenship in Israel too. They have a very effective system for picking up people who overstay their visa and they even get them a flight back to their homeland. It can be done.

People often complain about the housing crisis and point out the 1980s as a reference to affordable houses. The US population was only 200 million then, now it's 340 million. The cost of housing is very much dependent on demand and supply. Our infrastructure can not handle millions more each year.

Bottom line, it does matter that they pick in choose. They should immediately detain, process, any & all undocumented persons that come into any contact with LE, courts, school systems, etc., & within 72 hours have them deported back across into the country they are legally from. There should be none that are held over, not even children if they were born once they arrived in the USA. Either their children also go back with them, or the parent is removed & the child entered into foster care while awaiting deportation or adoption.

@lostship, you have to be firm on the rules. NO ONE should cross illegally, and the compassion stops when they leave the border (Mexico, Canada, etc.). Get YOUR Congressmen and YOUR House of Representatives to fight to pass a good, strong immigration law.
They'd probably be better with parents here rather than those who risked their little lives crossing illegally at the hands of the cartels. In my eyes, that's child endangerment.

I would recommend stay out of trouble firstly, secondly reside in a sanctuary state , get itin number and you able to get drivers licenses as far as other stuff I don't know you will have to hustle your way and in my honest opinion stay close to your culture if you from they island , new york , Florida , an example so you don't end up by yourself doing things for yourself new york also as a bit of sanctuary ordinance. Alot of Latin or Hispanics seem to reside in California area or if you family to help you or friends then you can take that route but try to work out your documents along the way. @@Zeuswashington well let me say it's not a great idea being in any situation of such it's very difficult and would recommend it, it is best to enter in right and stay right, but if your in a situation and been here for a long time I would say get a form of ID some states still offer identification cards other than that I would say volunteer, do community work or try get a gig day labor if possible, I would recommend residing in a sanctuary state or city they usually have programs and protection ordinance, large immigrant community, housing etc .
