Silovs made BANK tonight… he’s gonna be a starter next season and not in the farm system… and probably not as a canuck… but after tonight, following his playoffs games to date…. And performance in those games…. And especially after that goaline snatch…. That kid just hit the million + dollar contract mark after that performance… gonna be alot of teams willing to fork out more than our budget will allow us to keep him!
yeah but he’s still a rookie and would have restricted free agent status when he’s out if his ELC. We would definitely re-sign him. He will backup Demko next season
Silovs will be the backup next year over DeSmith, not a starter anywhere. He's a restricted free agent so he's not going anywhere and there is no point in trading Silovs as he gets only the league minimum and therefore won't relieve the cap space the Canucks need for resigning guys like Lindholm, Joshua and Big Z. You let DeSmith walk at the end of the year instead.

Canucks are grinding Edmonton out of the game.
I would play Calvin Pickard in game 4. He's a 10 AHL vet who has played well in relief during his NHL stints, and has a .908% this year. Skinner looks tired annd a bit unfocused and he should sit for a night. It won't matter if the bottom 9 Oiler forwards don't score. Canucks look god so far, and they are the more patient team.
I did not really follow the Oilers this year. And why? Last fall I heard that they were staying with Backup Goalie Stuart Skinner. I knew this day would come, just like in 2023, 2022, and 2021.
Yup, I'm a Canucks fan and want a Canadian team to win. I realize more that Edmonton is weak in the net, and Canucks have a better shot at the cup than the Oilers.

He plays until he has a bad game. In the playoffs you never rest your winning goalie unless he's hurt. With most Stanley Cup winners, the back up never even plays a single game and the starter ends up getting all 16 wins by themselves.

Hitting the post is not a shot on goal - it’s a miss. The goalie is not saved by the post - if he’s leaving no open net available because of good positioning, the shooter misses, post or not. I really miss John and John. Why is Shorty not announcing the Canucks/oilers series in favor of Cuthbert and Craig Simpson (former oiler)?
