I'm going back in time with video footage my mom shot with the RCA camcorder!!! I have a gold mine of footage on VSH that I just recently learned how to convert to digital to so here we go each Thursday is going go to be a Throw Back to the 1990's until the videos run out but that's not going to happen so get your popcorn ready and enjoy the ride young Dirt,Grain & Steel does not disappoint!!!
Us newer operators should have to run something like a 690B to appreciate how smooth and quick a modern excavator is. A lot of work was done by hardworking men running those slow old dinosaurs.
You forget how loud the engines were compared to the newer stuff now days. The guy that did our excavator work had a 690 also. Neat to see the good ole days
I think every family from that era had or knew someone with a maroon Explorer! They were everywhere!!
I swear my mom had every color and model then she went to expeditions lol
Wow in 1998 I had been at work for 30 years. Lovely videos. Keep them coming look forward tithe next one.
That was Fun! Looking at you and the dates you and my son are about the same age and about the same level of orneryness! Your Mother has to be a VERY patient woman. That was about the time I had my GMC 9500 dump truck hauling asphalt and stone. Memories! Thank You Young Man 👍. I think I like Throw Back Thursday. Tell your Mom and Dad Thanks Too! 👍👏🇺🇲🙏
Time flies when you are having fun. 1996 I would have been 11 yrs old milking cows with grandpa and dad. Thank you for sharing great video looking forward to more for sure
pretty good stuff. was great seeing the 80s and 90s again
Does anybody in your neck of the woods grow Mint any more? Really like the throwbacks. You haven’t changed much, you’re still digging in the dirt and playing with rocks.
Yes they do still grow it around here!
Pretty cool. I like your dad's truck.
I think you could call this back to the good old golden years
Wow 1996 I’d just got my license and was on top of the world or so I thought lol thanks for sharing
The good old 690B I was bidding on one of them on Big Iron Wednesday, but it went for more then I wanted to give, I'm still looking for one.
I really enjoyed this. Please thank your mom for those. There's so little film from the earlier years we need to treasure what there is.
Hey! I remember those old Ag Rain travelers...
Looks like the stoners in Indiana had some ditches planted up well!!
🤣🤣🤣
Thank you for doing this. Really enjoyed
watching. Brings back memories of being
with my father when I was young. Looking
forward to more throw back thursdays.
That’s awesome! We owned a 690E from ‘94-‘07. Probably not as good of a machine as the A-D series were. Thanks for sharing!👍👍
If I remember correctly wasn't there something odd about the E series they were hard to get parts for or something
@@dirtgrainsteel They we’re made “in house” at Davenport. They didn’t run a Hitachi pump either. I think it was a Linde? Not they’re best effort imo.
Just the 690E. The other E’s were Hitachi pumped.
Man your knowledge is way ahead of your age! Really enjoy your videos!
Cool thanks for sharing.
I would of thought that u would of had some farm or construction toy out there to play with lol
Great idea, I really enjoy those old videos. Well done
Goodmorning all
I loved my 690B but mine had pilot controls
Frist excavator i had was a 690B use it around my dads ready-mix Concrete plant working in the washout pit, makes a good driveway base but need to put road-mix to over it !!!! your friend from cold and snowy Michigan
nice to see a bit of the past, the bad part is the filmer is rarely filmed. so you have
a bunch of your family and friends kept in that instant part of time. you can see the
change over time of people, take care.
Hey Brandon thanks for sharing, wow you were a digger when you were a little tyke it’s definitely in your blood. Thanks again take care and I will be looking forward to seeing more 👍
Great video.
I might be finding out how to run one of those soon
👍😀😁
👍👍
Ah the 90's
🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Was that you playing in the mud ?
Yes lol
Hello
I am your new temporary subscriber the reason why I use the word temporary is because I have a hard time controlling the subscriber section of my phone I have a problem trying to control the number of channels that I subscribe to if I let myself get over 5 I lose the ability to keep up with the subscriptions so therefore I rotate channels or that is subscriptions I rotate them in and out of my phone that way I don't lose control of my phone I offer my deepest apologies if it sounds discriminating I don't mean to be.
So now I'll get on with my comment the sub foundation your building looks real good I love it I'm going to enjoy seeing the concrete go in y'all do real nice work and I thank you for letting me distract your time I know you're very busy so I'll part and say goodbye
