Us newer operators should have to run something like a 690B to appreciate how smooth and quick a modern excavator is. A lot of work was done by hardworking men running those slow old dinosaurs.

You forget how loud the engines were compared to the newer stuff now days. The guy that did our excavator work had a 690 also. Neat to see the good ole days

That was Fun! Looking at you and the dates you and my son are about the same age and about the same level of orneryness! Your Mother has to be a VERY patient woman. That was about the time I had my GMC 9500 dump truck hauling asphalt and stone. Memories! Thank You Young Man 👍. I think I like Throw Back Thursday. Tell your Mom and Dad Thanks Too! 👍👏🇺🇲🙏

Does anybody in your neck of the woods grow Mint any more? Really like the throwbacks. You haven’t changed much, you’re still digging in the dirt and playing with rocks.

That’s awesome! We owned a 690E from ‘94-‘07. Probably not as good of a machine as the A-D series were. Thanks for sharing!👍👍

If I remember correctly wasn't there something odd about the E series they were hard to get parts for or something

@@dirtgrainsteel They we’re made “in house” at Davenport. They didn’t run a Hitachi pump either. I think it was a Linde? Not they’re best effort imo.

Just the 690E. The other E’s were Hitachi pumped.

nice to see a bit of the past, the bad part is the filmer is rarely filmed. so you have
a bunch of your family and friends kept in that instant part of time. you can see the
change over time of people, take care.

    Hello
I am your new temporary subscriber the reason why I use the word temporary is because I have a hard time controlling the subscriber section of my phone I have a problem trying to control the number of channels that I subscribe to if I let myself get over 5 I lose the ability to keep up with the subscriptions so therefore I rotate channels or that is subscriptions I rotate them in and out of my phone that way I don't lose control of my phone I offer my deepest apologies if it sounds discriminating I don't mean to be.
So now I'll get on with my comment the sub foundation your building looks real good I love it I'm going to enjoy seeing the concrete go in y'all do real nice work and I thank you for letting me distract your time I know you're very busy so I'll part and say goodbye
